    I lived in China for a while too and I also noticed that a lot of these kid killers are single men. They don't have children of their own so they have no hope of retiring because like you said, kids are basically a person's pension plan. So these killers are jealous... It doesn't matter if these kids are rich or poor. I've worked in private language schools and some parents are filthy rich, and others go into debt borrowing money to give their kids English lessons. So the killer's jealousy turns into a mental health issue because he's constantly worried for his future to the point that it is ingrained in his psyche. Imagine struggling to feed, clothe, and put a roof over your head your entire life because you're born poor and never had a proper education so you're just stuck in poverty forever.
    Secondly, mental illness is a major problem. Rich or poor, mental and emotional problems go untreated. I taught college in China and most of them came from rich families.... And they're nuts! They're total delinquents being kicked out of public school so their parents send them off to a "special program" at a college that prepares them for an education outside of China as a last resort. And that's where I came in. I had some insane delinquents... A few were incarcerated too! Parents don't care. They just pay off the judges and police and shove their kids back in school while they leave the country for a while. A lot of them never actually parented their kids... It's always their nannies or grandparents who looked after them and gave them whatever they wanted and yet they'll get violent with me when they're addicted to online gaming and refuse to turn in their smartphones during tests and exams. Other students come from small towns and villages where parents worked night and day to provide so they weren't around to parent their kids. So both the poor and rich kids feel neglected or not important to their parents. That begins to eat away at their psyche too and they take it out on me and my peers. There's a high teacher burnout for a reason. People born with mental issues but look and sound perfectly normal go unnoticed or parents deny it because of the stigma. You have no idea how many times parents have said their kids are just "lazy".... No, they're "crazy" (swearing at, pushing and hitting and throwing things at teachers and classmates are not normal) and there is nothing teachers can do. I even suggested to a parent of a violent student to seek counseling for their son. The mother brushed it off and said he gets violent with her too and has been like that since he was a baby. And she saw nothing wrong with that? 😲
    Special ed teachers are in dire need in China. People with psychological and emotional problems are not treated because there is basically no professionals to deal with them and the social system does not provide, and secondly, parents deny or refuse to acknowledge it because they lose face if word gets around for having a disturbed child.
    I broke my foot and had to use crutches and you wouldn't believe the evil stares I got on the street. Any impairment, even temporary, is looked down upon. It pissed me off so imagine it on a young impressionable mind of a child who is born with a permanent physical handicap or worse, a mental one?

There is a price to pay for everything. The model Chinese build is flaws for its people. This is why Chinese are invading other countries to survive.

    There are a lot of school stabbings in China that are done by kids as well. It's just that you don't see them in big cities. But it's quite common in small towns. Many parents are busy gambling and their kids are neglected so many of them are turning their loneliness and frustration into violence. When I grew up , there were a couple of kids that were getting killed in my hometown every once in a while. And it was never reported publicly. I think this issue is more severe than the kind of mass stabbing that Wiston are talking about. Because few people really cared about these dead kids other than their families and freinds because they are so-called " bad kids".

    So far I don’t like the culture of censorship in the Mainlands. It prevent people from actually addressing the issues to improve society. Instead it creates a mindset of denial and avoidance.
    I’m glad my mother and father fought hard to leave China because they knew beside the government problem there are social problems that would never be fixed.
    Sure the government is heavy on the censorship to prevent social unrest but at the end the problem is still there. The problems is just swept under the rug as if nothing happened. But long term affects is more unaddressed issues will continue and grow.

    • @chanchong4924

      That's where I have to disagree, mass stabbings and kid napping are not censored in china nor on chinese social media, no offense just because your parents came from china doesn't mean you know what chinese social media is like. The media tend to talk a lot more about kid nappings and drug dealing and using because it's more often than stabbings. homicide and murders is something that china can't not fix nor prevent but alot of ppl talk about, I think you just don't know that.

    • @tagladyify
      @tagladyify 5 років тому +23

      I think we have the opposite effect in the West. The media is constantly talking about school shootings and instead of discussing the actual causes like dangerous psychotropic drugs, violence in public schools in general and the abuse of children in foster care, they just want to remove guns from law abiding citizens.

    • @CrimsonEclipse
      @CrimsonEclipse 5 років тому +9

      Tracy Spose actually this topic you brought but has actually been talked about in the US. Depending on which social media platform and news outlet the stories is addressed differently. The problem is the leftist has their own agendas about how they want to address the issue. Majority of the mass shootings are done in schools are done by students with psychological issues. Many were bullied in school and are considered social outcast. Many don’t actually have a history of child abuse or part of any foster care programs.
      Also the mass shooter all seem to be people with similar issue. People who are loners and antisocial, people who don’t have much friends. Also strangely many mass shooters are inspired by other mass shooters.
      About violence in the intercity like Baltimore, Detroit, and Chicago etc. It has a lot to do with gang violence, drugs and single mother households. Those local communities are killing themselves since there are a lot of internal issues. That there isn’t a stable family environment for the people who grew up in those type neighborhoods.

    • @CrimsonEclipse
      @CrimsonEclipse 5 років тому +11

      Tian Hao Wang the question I have to ask you. Do you try to address the issue of why these subject matter happened? Why people use drugs? Why people go and stab children’s in school? Why people kidnapped children?
      You aren’t addressing the issue or even the motivation behind the issue if you just look at it and say. “Oh it’s just drugs.” Or “Oh they are just crazy.”
      There are drug dealers because there is a demand for drugs. The reason there is a demand for drugs is because of the people who use the drugs has some kind of void they need to fill. Addiction correlates with depression. There has been a studies that shows most people that lack purpose or have a feeling of hopelessness, and depression tend to reply substance abuse.
      Just like murder and homicide there is always a motivation behind why people do what they do.
      I think most people want a simple answer.
      So far the mass stabbing in schools in China has a common pattern. Addressing these common patterns could prevent children fro, getting hurt.

    • @tagladyify
      @tagladyify 5 років тому +5

      @@CrimsonEclipse yes I agree on many of your points. The shooter in Parkland was very troubled, an outcast and in foster care.
      The recent shooters in Walmart in El Passo and the one in Ohio were both ANTIFA members. Leftists who want to have all guns confiscated.
      Society is moving away from actual problem solving and toward one-size fits all legislation because of the massive push of fascist globalism. Most of our institutions have been infultrated by this propaganda, particularly MSM.
      All shooters are later found to be on psychotropic drugs. It is no wonder that Big Pharms is the most hated industry in America.

      @Eyre Borne that's right, just ignore what I said so you can criticise South Africa. What I said was that white people are the safest racial group in South Africa. In terms of the homicide rate, the total number of white people murdered each year in South Africa (by anyone including other whites) is approx 345 (whites are almost twice as likely to die from skin cancer as they are to be murdered). The 345 number comes from white people being 1.8% of the annual total of 19,000 murder victims which 5 times less than their 8.4% population rate would suggest, i.e. *WHITE PEOPLE IN GENERAL ARE 5 TIMES LESS LIKELY TO BE MURDERED THAN IF ALL MURDER VICTIMS WERE CHOSEN COMPLETELY AT RANDOM.* They are the least likely group to be murdered in South Africa by a very, very, very long way. Now that you know that, please stop pretending to give a shit about what happens in South Africa and sort out the Opioid Epidemic in white America that's killing 70,000 mostly white people every year.

    Yes, exactly this situation happened during the last couple of years I was in Shanghai. Kids were attacked outside a school, one died. The guy was a loose cannon, who had no connection to the victims. The local media did cover it, and reported that he was disgruntled about being underprivileged and having no hope, jealous of the hope others seemed to have. So yes, Winston, you hit the nail on the head about all the motives in play concerning this issue. People aren't oblivious to the issue though, but to discuss it raises questions about the actual harmony in society..
    I know that my school I was working at doubled the guards on the front gate and had a regular police presence in the street after hearing of this incident in the neighbouring school. I did get the feeling however that it was a random incident. You are being quite the reporter in bringing our attention to it being more of a widespread phenomenon.

All the mass tragedies have been performed by people who are out of touch with the rest of society and feel excluded. It also seems that they retreat to echo chambers and build up a reality that is vastly different than the real world, hear the same thing over and over, until they decide to go out and do something bad. Not just school shootings and stabbings, also islamic extremists, new zealand thing, etc etc.

Every other country in the world should refuse to take in persons from China-India-Mexico. Any country that exports millions of its own people is a failed country. Winston has lived in 3 different countries and barely references his South African roots anymore, so he will lack empathy of understanding social dynamics behind why some Chinese spit. It has to do with a large amount of migration of peasants and rural workers to the cities that still have that rural mentality of the countryside where social norms are more relaxed. For some reason there exists this holier-than-thou condescending attitude LARPing as if the west is still Victorian England today, yet we know this to be quite far from reality. It takes generations sometimes for old habits to change, and will change for China in time. Nearly everyone who brings up "spitting" as a problem seem to not understand that this will fix itself in time, but I guess it ruins their hedonism or "experience" today, so it must be fixed now. A Very Millennial Entitled Attitude, ironically!

    • @samuelrs5138
      @samuelrs5138 4 роки тому

      I don't think it's a literal 'investment' in their children in the sense that they're pouring more money into them than is usual. I think the problem is that they don't have money to invest in the first place and so they depend on their kids when they are older to provide housing and food for them. It used to be like this in the West too but now we have retirement plans we work for decades on. So keep in mind what China was like just a few decades ago, there wasn't any way for the average person to invest. Younger people in China today will face a huge burden with their parents soon. Hopefully they don't expect their children to have to do this too.

Do you have any idea; even a guess abt how many attacks there are in an average year?? Do you know if there is a more common geographic area where they happen?? Or, More common near cities where the income disparity is more common? Also, I assume that murder is punishable by death. If so, what is the common method?? Hanging? Firing squad? Very interesting topic. Thanks.
