I waited 2 weeks for this video and yet it still exceeded my high expectations. I know exactly what covenant to pick (meaning I made the right choice for myself with Kyrian), how to improve my rotation, what legendaryto use and how the shard system works. Thanks a LOT for this guide!
Great guide. Was unhappy with my fury dps tonight in raid, even though I love the new Venthyr leggo. Switched to arms and blew up the meters without really knowing the spec. Your info has pointed me in the right direction, can't wait until tomorrow.
@SleepyGirl sinful surge - makes execute extend recklessness(fury) or warbreaker(arms) duration that legendary alone turns arms into a monster during execute phase
As someone who hasn't played arms ever this is a very nice noob guide. I'm struggling with rage starvation and this definitely helps with the management and generally just the rotation
Holy shit man, I remember your videos back when you made them in WotLK, it was the first guide I ever watched. I thought you sounded familiar and went back to check. I can't believe I was right :D Keep up the good work man!
Hey! Great video! One thing: Even as Venthyr, Mortal Combo is still the single best single target conduit. With the way you play Arms now, even as Venthyr, you Mortal Strike on cooldown, and when using enduring blow, each Mortal Combo proc gives you a chance to proc Colossus Smash.
Other guides are saying that WarBreaker messes with the ColossusSmash from EnduringBlow. Specifically that baseline CS extends the CS from EnduringBlow whereas the CS from WarBreaker OVERWRITES the CS from EnduringBlow.
wait, really? Because if Baseline CS doesn't overwrite, that will be the first time that has ever been the case for a system like this, as it's a product of WoW's spaghetti code.
Ok I just tested it. You're right, hard casting CS does actually add time to EB procs and doesn't overwrite it. That's absolutely mind boggling to me because as far as I've ever encountered, literally nothing else works like that. off the top of my head examples: Signet of tormented kings procs don't work that way, deathmaker doesn't work that way, vision of perfection (BfA) didn't work that way. And this of course means that my statements about the choice of warbreaker for single target in the video is wrong, and you should pick cleave/collateral damage.
I'm not long dinged 60 and only 206 ilvl but made Excecutioner and ran sudden death + massacre as it was the first leggo I had available. It's been working pretty sweet for me in all content tbh. I should point out i'm Venthyr
Very nice guide, however I can't seem to wrap my head around your stat prio. Haste being last without any breakpoints? All top logs warriors run up to 900 haste rating with crit being close 2nd. How come you place Mastery 2nd and haste even behind versa?
Was wondering the same ,as you said everyones else seem to value haste the most, even wowhead. im quiet stuck in a weird place because i dont know which items to upgrade with my Cataloged research.
Very nice, I prefer the Arms playstyle, and not very much has changed, at least my favorite covenant (not thematicaly) is kyrian and it is in a pretty good spot. You got mixed up executioner (legendary) with massacre on the talent tree (I feel that what you said at 25:25 it is a big mistake at least)
Yo! Great video as always, ty so much for this. I have been trying to pick up arms to play it in raids so I can finally be NF for M+. I did some keys and I have been struggling a bit to understand the AoE rotation. Outside of CD's do I just spam whirlwind and overpower on 4+ targets? Also, does execute change the AoE rotation? I assume it replaces slam, but is it worth using over whirlwind on 3-4 targets for example? Thanks a bunch, I look forward to more stuff from you :)
You probably know already but Orcs get a 20% reduced stun duration, which is very nice and the main reason to choose Orc in arena. Cheap shot will stun for just 3.2 seconds instead of 4 seconds, and HoJ/Full kidney will stun for 4.8 seconds instead of 6 for example. It doesn't sound like a lot but that 0.8-1.2 seconds can make all the difference to you living or dying in a stun and also makes Rogues openers a little less brutal. Ultimately though, your skill/gear/decision making are going to have a far bigger impact on your success in Arena so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Hey. Could you tell me what is the stat priority ? I see evry thing and its contrary. I Know sim sim sim... But generally speaking what are the caps stats you want to hit ? Thank you. Have a good day all
rend during condemn phases? yes. bladestorm during execute phases? not unless you are desparately rage starved. Bladestorm during CS? on single target, you should ideally banking some rage for CS windows and therefore not need to use bladestorm. However, in AoE if you run warbreaker, WB + BS is a strong burst combo and should be used.
You listed haste as last but when I sim my stat weights it’s the highest followed by crit. Am I just close to a breakpoint or something? Feels good to play with higher haste too IMO
There are a lot of reasons why this could be. the most likely reasons that come to mind are: 1) you could be close to some breakpoint, as you suggested. 2) if you're simming/getting windfury and running sudden death, that combination increases haste by a considerable amount. 3) you could be using a trinket that directly scales with haste (such as the tormented rack fragment from painsmith). trust your gut and what the sims are saying more than what I say, as the sims can be particularized to your specific setup and I'm using broad generalizations.
Some people use an "/cancelaura Bladestorm" on Mortal Strike and Execute macro. So the moment you're about to reach 100 rage with an timed auto, you can pop your Execute/MS intantly out of a canceled bladestorm.
They have more gear, more haste, more Autos then, they doesnt need the extra rage button to fck off their GCDs where they refresh rend, cast overpower, mortal strike on CD.
For Kyrian, with the spear being 1 min cd (56sec with Mikanikos in ST) and warbreaker 45 sec, how do you manage these cds? Do you always delay warbreaker to cast with spear? Or just use them at the same time every 3 min? Also, do you cancel BS in ST if you cap rage? If yes, how many targets are needed to not cancel BS? I am assuming 2 targets with sweeping strikes up might be reason enough to still cancel when full rage.
Ignore pain can be cast in BS so it's an easy rage dump if u cap. But you should always dump your rage before u BS, that way you'll never cap out when BS'ing. I'm pretty sure he mentions this in the video as well
What secondary stats can you recommend. Switched from fury to arms lately and I don't know if I should keep my haste above 20% or just go for crit and mastery?
@@pottyputter05 Thanks but I'm still kinda unsure about the other secondary stats. Guides tell me mastery is more important than haste. Maybe when you have a certain amount of haste or is haste just not valuble anymore? It used to be crit and haste right?
@@CautexWoW i see. is there something we do with that information or is warbreaker and EB still just the way to go for the talent and lego? my warrior is fresh 60, trying to start learning

If you're running dreadnaught and have 2 *charges* of over power available (including if you have 2 stacks of the OP buff), then you should use OP >MS. otherwise, if you're already at 2 stacks of the OP buff, just use MS.

Wow man I just started two days ago and my friend is an absolute scrub at helping. Do you have a discord? Would love to play with you for some general knowledge
It hasn't been this entire expansion. Crit is better for rage generation and mastery is better for raw damage throughput. Stacking crit/haste for extra rage gen wouldn't be as valuable as stacking crit for rage gen and mastery for damage, and stacking Haste/Mastery would just be a less effective version of stacking crit/mastery.
The only problem I have with this video and others like it is that you keep telling people to use stat weights, which is not really a good idea. The reason why it's not good to use stat weights is because they change literally every time you equip a new piece of gear, so instead of using the Stat Weight sim in raidbots, it's a better idea to use Top Gear and Droptimizer to see what's an upgrade for you and what to farm.
talking about stat weights in guides is a bit of a catch 22. if they are included people inevitably point out that they aren't accurate, and can at most only give you a general outline of what stats are good. However, if you don't talk about them, then you'll get asked a billion times "yo whats my stat prio?". I chose to err on the side of including them while trying to be explicitly clear that you should do your own sims to figure out what's best for you.
