Great guide Cautex, really appreciate the detailed explanation and thoroughness! Not many warrior playing content creators left for the wow community, keep on keepin on!
This is by far the best fury guide to date. Thank you for all the hard work and dedication to the warrior cause. As a comment said earlier; their arnt many warrior content creators left, and seeing your videos in my inbox always brightens my day.
This guide is incredible. You do such a good job at building a foundation that's easy to understand, but not boring or tedious, im very excited about trying fury warrior out. It'll be the first time I really stepped outside of classic and I had the most (and least sometimes) fun playing warrior there.
Came here as a seasoned fury warrior and still learned so much, was looking for some information on merciless bonegrinder as I have been pushing more M+ and this was exactly what I was looking for
im just getting back into the game after a year, this is super super helpful :> ty for making this (btw idk if its because i already used to play warr but this is very easy to understand, such great explanation)
This is absolutely incredible, don't think I've ever seen such a genuinely good and well made guide. Props to you, you're really good and smart. Fucking amazing, thanks for the free abundance of information! will be checking u out for sure :) I really love warrior so this pumps me up to get 60 and get better asap.
btw, protip: I like to put my cancel aura onto intervene so that I can still spam my dps buttons and get them out as soon as the bladestorm ends (specially useful in aoe, where you want to get 100% value from storm, but also rampage with whirlwind buff up as soon as possible I like this since whenever id want to cancel bladestorm, im usually targetting an enemy, and therefore I will never have this issue of possibly canceling 1 or 2 ticks of my storm to cast some offensive spell. Also if I do want to cancel to intervene, well it will do that for you.
Hey! Ty so much for this video, I learned a ton, exactly what I needed as someone recently dinging on my alt fury. Two questions remain for me; At what amount of targets do you reckon whirlwind outperforms a cleaving rampage? Also; Could you do an m+ - specific guide? Not necessarily going over every dungeon, I'm just wondering if anything significant changes in terms of playstyle, conduits, rotation. Again, ty for your work :)
Hi Cautex, I'm interested in warrior theorycrafting for both myself and members of my guild, and I'm wondering if there's a way right now to mold the warrior API for either dps spec to account for the tier set and/or double legendaries. I want to see if there's any crazy combinations that we haven't thought of yet, and I'm currently eyeing the under-utilized legendaries, like Reckless Defense for M+ or Raid. Thanks, Vanadryn-Illidan.
based on my understanding, modeling the tier set bonuses would basically require modifying simcraft itself, which is doable (its open source) and will eventually get done by those who help maintain the project, but would require a pretty deep understanding of how simcraft is coded. Modeling two legendaries is a much easier task and can be done right now, but it can be a bit tedious. This is hard to describe clearly in text, but here goes nothing: TL;DR: manually insert a 2nd legendary into the simcraft input, and then run it in quick/advanced sims. the default APLs are good enough that the results for most combos are accurate enough that APL modifications probably won't be necessary to get a general idea on the strength of various combos. step 1: generating a profile with 2 legendaries equipped. Easiest way to do this is use the /simc addon to generate profile of you wearing each legendary individually (so for EM/signet, you'd equip signet, do /simc, copy paste that into a text file, then change to wearing elysian might, do /simc again, and then past that into the text document). then you could just find the line for one of the legendary slots, copy it, and replace whatever is in that item slot in the other profile. you can also do cheesy things with topgear to generate the lines for legendaries without needing to actually craft them, but that's a bit more tedious (do it in small batches and open up the full HTML report/use the raw input) step 2) once you've created this profile, paste it into a quick sim, confirm that it shows you with 2 legendaries equipped, and hit run. NOW, depending on the specific legendary combination, if that combination could affect your decision making, that might require modifications of the APL. if you need to make APL modifications, then you'll need to run it as an advanced sim in raidbots. there's probably an easier way, but how I've always done it is that I go to the full HTML report in the quick sim, scroll down to the profile section, expand that out, select all of that text, then copy/paste it into notepad. From there I can make what ever modifications I want to try, select all, copy, then paste that into the advanced sim input. The best suggestion I can give is to pull up the simcraft documentation and have that next to you while trying to make these modifications, because its very picky about the syntax. hopefully that wasn't too confusing.
The goal of that video was more along the lines of "what's going to be possible" rather than "what's going to be viable/competitive" creating a giga WW is still doable, but it wouldn't be competitive DPS.
only thing im wondering is why korayn is your nf soulbind of choice for m+ since dreamweaver is way ahead on higher keys (starting at +15) what would bring you in the same situation like kyrian where you need to swap your bonegrinder in m+ for your hack n slash in raids.
Thanks for the nice guide! I have One question in struggling with that maybe you can answer. When is merciless bonegrinder worth more then the 15% haste you get from mikinikos? I only play m+ and dont really know IF we pull big enough that its worth Merciless bonegrinder for me.
Hmm, so Night Fae leggo, and using Dragon Roar and Siegebreaker for NF single target isn't even worth considering now? Also, I only run frenzy with Signet for longer single target fights, how come you suggest that's base when Signet is more AoE focused to begin with?
Is it better to use recklessness then spear then bladestorm in aoe or just spear and then bladestorm and then rek after? I imagine the extra crit chance from rek makes it better to use it with but im not certain
Assuming you can't Rampage, Execute/Condemn, and you're enraged, yes. If you're expecting to be in a single target encounter you should generally be running Dragons Roar instead.
Hi could you make a video on how to best use gnome sequencer enhanced for fury I'm high dps on target dummies but doesn't reflect in raids/dungeons also is there a good oh shit macros for gse can't seem to find one thanks in advance ps I'm a venthyr using nadja I do have signet of tormented highest level
How big of a dps loss is it to run am over siegebreaker for the kyrian setup? Might be easier to line up cds with reckless and spear basically always paired and roar every other.
your milage may vary depending on what trinkets you have access to, but from my analysis kyrian optimized for siegebreaker was simming ~1%(~100DPS) better than kyrian optimized for AM.
Well damn. I picked ventyr for my fury warrior because i love the transmog stuff from them. Also i crafted the signet legendary, because i think it's very fun to have and use. Do you think this setup is viable for at least +15/16/17 Mythic dungeons or do i have to change to kiryan/fae?
I wouldn''t reccomend it. There are times where you might want to delay using recklessness to line up with an encounters burst windows, and macroing it into rampage would interfere with that.
Hi Cautex! First all THANK YOU for share yours knowledge and do guides so usefull likes this one! I was simulating and trying in raid and about using the covenant Venthyr, with Nadjia and Theotar i have the same DPS; so, how its possible? I thik cause in Nadjia i level up versatility to ge the buff for more versa versus get more crit. For me, i pref Nadjia in general cause i dont need to stay in the place but i think that with Theotar u can get a huge amount of mastery and being AWESOME in damage during enrage ;)
TL;DR: on paper they are basically equal, but in game I think that theotar is less susceptible to bad RNG, which is why I suggested that instead of nadjia. you're correct that both nadjia and theotar sim for about the same DPS. The reason why I chose to recommend theotar and not nadjia is because the haste and crit/vers buff work can be a bit of a sim trap (that is, it perfoms better in sims than it does in game). the nadjia buffs occur at fixed intervals and you have no control over them. if you have to move away from the boss to deal with a mechanic, then it's possible to waste a significant portion of that effect if you get unlucky with the timing. Because theotars mastery buff happens much more frequently, missing out on a mastery buff due to downtime or bad placement is much less of a detriment to your DPS than losing a full nadjia buff. Additionally, because it's procs occur based off of ability usage, and not at fixed intervals, during downtime you can simply stop using abilities and reduce the chance of getting a wasted proc.
I think he didn't include a dedicated section because the main points were already covered except in name. The AoE rotation for fury is the same as the single target rotation except you toss a whirlwind in every 3rd GCD, example: Whirlwind -> Raging Blow -> Raging Blow -> Whirlwind -> Bloodthirst -> Raging Blow -> Whirlwind -> Rampage etc. The main points he made about on two targets only cleaving rampage is necessary, when running Merciless Bonegrinder conduit, the period after bladestorm is just spam whirlwind until you can rampage, and the others are still relevant. If you would like more tips, I could help or Cautex might reply, although an M+ guide, especially very thorough, could easily be a 20 minute video on its own.
Why does blood mallet show Bonesmith Heirmir far and away being the best dps covenant tree right now on single and multi target. Its being simmed not even close.

Coming back to WoW after a veeery long break, this is a proper video to get me back in swing with my fury warrior.
What a brilliant, cohesive video guide! You are absolutely an underrated content maker and deserve more subscribers!
BEST Warrior Guide in UA-cam, as always.

Awesome video bro, please keep up the content
Great vid. First time seriously playing Warrior so this helps.
34:10 also running with titan’s grip will give you more stamina, increasing your hp pool so you get clapped by random stuff a tiny bit less often :)

Thanks for your guide, it's really refreshes mind for me as a warrior for life :) I would like to see video about openers for different playstyles.

"If you're willing to live vicariously through the parses of others, you can play necrolord" this made me laugh.

@@CautexWoW That was awesome and super helpful! Thank you for replying!
a question just a little confused why Theotar over Nadjia I thought thrill-seeker, dauntless duelist, and fatal flaw were best for ST
Hey Cautex, is the huge whirlwind dream dead? Haven't seen anyone talking about it since your video about that
The goal of that video was more along the lines of "what's going to be possible" rather than "what's going to be viable/competitive" creating a giga WW is still doable, but it wouldn't be competitive DPS.
This is super great for me. Looking to start with a warrior. What would be a good start for leggo starting to gear some in 9.1.5?
nice guide, good job 👍
great guide !

Excelent video! Tell me please, what are the best anima in M+ for fury (tyrannical and fortified) ? Thanks you.

Assuming you can't Rampage, Execute/Condemn, and you're enraged, yes. If you're expecting to be in a single target encounter you should generally be running Dragons Roar instead.
its in the video under bladestorm.
in short: use when enraged but cancel as soon as you have enough rage to rampage
Isnt this a repost? Thought you alrdy released this?
Great guide. Do you cancel Bladestorm for execute/Rampage in both AoE and ST?
Just single target
@@CautexWoW Thank you. So in AoE it doesnt really matter that you might cap Rage while Bladestorming?
What about signet of torment kings with venthyr, does that work?
Great video.
What warrior spec/cov combination do you think has the best execute phase dmg? Venthyr fury? Or arms NF/kyr?
Also im curious, have you ever thought about using seismic reverberation with bonegrinder for AoE ? :D
any chance we get a AoE only best soulbinds addendum to the guide?
fam isnt koryan better for M+ with signet leggo?
Hi could you make a video on how to best use gnome sequencer enhanced for fury I'm high dps on target dummies but doesn't reflect in raids/dungeons also is there a good oh shit macros for gse can't seem to find one thanks in advance ps I'm a venthyr using nadja I do have signet of tormented highest level
This vid needs more likes!
05:42 Enrage gives 15% haste 11% damage and causes your voice to crack
So with Merciless Bonegrinder what do we do on Single Target? spamming whirlwind and rampage or the normal rotation?
In single target you should be doing the default rotation and not spamming WW.
How big of a dps loss is it to run am over siegebreaker for the kyrian setup? Might be easier to line up cds with reckless and spear basically always paired and roar every other.

every spec and every legendary is viable in 15/16/17 keys, even higher, no joke :)
as a kyrian warrior you should still be going signet btw
Excuse my retail but what sword is that
Is it a good idea to macro. Rampage and recklessness together or nah?
I wouldn''t reccomend it. There are times where you might want to delay using recklessness to line up with an encounters burst windows, and macroing it into rampage would interfere with that.
