But my mom is very disheartened and in a rush to see him married and with kids. Sometimes that passes on to me but I fix my eyes again on the greater plan. Breeny Lee I took out a few girls in my 20’s. I wouldn’t really call them dates. I actually hate dating, And I’m not bragging, but the last 3 women I’ve been with, I never dated. All 3 trusted Me enough that I would not force them into a sexual relationship until they were ready, If ever. Anyway, all 3 women crossed state lines to be with me, and I never dated any Of them. We just moved in together. The last woman was the most successful and We were together for 18 years, until she died from breast cancer that spread to her Bones, and she died, unfortunately. Now if I could be just as successful with younger Women, doing the same thing, I’d be very happy. I also don’t cheat on women, nor do I try and control them. One last thing: There are so many insecure guys out there who Are so worried if they don’t have sex very quickly with a woman: They don’t realize That it’s highly possible it will happen sooner or later, and it doesn’t matter if it’s Later. What’s important is that you enjoy each other’s company. I mean, they are Really worried, and it’s silly because if the 2 people never got around to mating, The world would end. No more new people would exist.

When people ask me why, I just laugh, and say, "I'm very serious about marriage, and I haven't found someone yet that I'm willing to spend the rest of my life with or felt God tugging at me to date a certain person" and then they say, "well, no one thinks that way anymore". Jamie, I had this exact same mindset before I got married. You are leaps and bounds ahead of where I was in my maturity before I got married. I didn't want to date because 1) I don't like the dating world and how messed up it is, and 2) I prayed that I wouldn't have to date around before I met my husband. So I did go on intentional dates, but I did not want to date casually. I never had a boyfriend and I met my husband when I was 25 and we got married when I was 26. I don't believe it's old-fashioned, I believe it's intentional and I really think it's what God desires for us. Not saying that God hates when we date casually, but I don't think God intended for us to "shop around" before we met our future spouses.

This is so beautiful. I wish I never dated anyone or kissed anyone and save that innocence for my future husband but I'm glad I haven't fully given myself completely to any guy. I'm 27 and most of my friends are married or in a relationship and getting that "you're not getting any younger" speech. I use to give chances to guys that did not fit my standards only because I get the "give him a chance and stop being picky" often, and when I do give the chance I knew I should have trusted myself instead of giving in to others. As I get older I realise that it's not a bad thing to have standards and right now I'm single but I don't have the need to date or be in a relationship with anybody which I'm quite happy about. I wish I felt like this at an earlier age but God works in mysterious ways in each of our journeys so you keep strong to your faith and when that time comes that our good Lord blesses you with a husband, for sure you will make an amazing wife.(sorry for the long essay)

I'm so glad that I'm not the only girl that is marriage minded & I've always been like this. I'm 19y/o & I've never had a boyfriend before just like you ! I've been on dates but I've Never met someone that I feel like will like to spend the rest of their life with me haha, I do believe that God has someone for each one of us but is our decision whether we want to wait for that person or just date someone for their "looks" & then be heartbroken. I rather wait for the one that God has for me because he might me preparing him for me just like he's preparing me for him. I've also heard a lot of "couple stories" that they pray for each other before meeting each other & God answered their prayers. Now they're happily married because they had the patience to wait on the right one & God is the center of their relationship & I feel like God must be on the center of every relationship because that's what keeps a couple together forever. Just like his world says : "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." -Ecclesiastes 4:12 I hope you find the man you deserve soon !! I just turned 26 and, similar story, never been in a relationship, never been willing to settle for a guy who doesn't share my same values and convictions. I don't drink, go to bars or clubs or parties. I've always believed in getting to know someone as friends first, and if it turns into something more ok, if not ok. So far no one has gotten past the friend zone lol. Keep godly standards, girls. I've seen good marriages and I've seen women who have to come to church alone because their husbands are not committed like they are. Kids in those families don't always see the importance of church or even God bc, if it's not important to one parent, why should it really matter to them? .....How can any 2 walk together unless they agree? How can any 2 lead a family in faith unless they agree? Better to be single than out of God's will.

And I realized a lot of times, we want romantic relationships because we crave that intensity and attention of it, but you can have that intensity with your girlfriends and family as well. Totally #relatable lol...Im 20 years old, I've never dated anyone, never had a boyfriend and basically never had true feelings for someone so never been heartbroken YAAAAS!! haha this is been an incredible journey, at times hard but over all amazing. I got to know Jesus and know myself through him, and because i know who I am in Christ, I love myself know myself and respect myself Ive decided to wait for the right time and the right man for me. My life hasn't stopped and is not going to stop because I'm single, I don't get my value from a cute relationship that I can brag on insta, being single is exiting and you do learn to enjoy every season that you're in, it's been awesome and I know it will be worth it!! I wanna get married and have a family one day but it's not happening right now and it's fine with me!! :)

I have struggled so much here recently with people pressuring me to date and immediately get married and have a family and i am ONLY 18, when in my heart I do feel that it is not my time. Even if I have to wait until I am thirty or forty to wait for the one the Lord has in store for me, I will be completely comfortable and content because I will know I am now ready for marriage and my husband will be also. It is a comfort to know there is another woman in the world who shares these views and who finds her "single season" as a blessing instead of a curse. Keep up your most amazing work! Girl!!! I have been married for 13 years and have been told by some of the girls in my church youth group that my marriage is their #marriagegoal. However, I admire you. I admire your message here. I want this to be a way they think cause I didn't and know the struggles I dealt with because of it. I know God will send the perfect man for you to you when you and him are ready. I dance with a Christian dance school, and recently a 25 year old teacher got engaged to this amazing guy! She waited, and she got a guy that is gonna treat her like a queen! Number one thing we should be looking for is someone who loves Jesus with all his heart, mind, soul and strength. Being a "good" man isnt enough. Its about being a man of honor and the righteousness of Jesus. There's too many nice christian boys and not enough godly men. We need GODLY men. 👏❤
I am soooooo glad to hear someone speaking up about "JESUS " Being the Reason! There is a great Big difference in being Christian and Church Folk...than Truly Living a set apart life " presenting our bodies as "living sacrifices" holy and acceptable unto God" Knowing that if we claim to love JESUS, This is our reasonable Sacrifice. And each day we are to deny ourselves of living like those who have not been transformed. With all our heart, mind, body and soul. Why are we saved anyhow? For marriage only? Or Just for other things? No, we are saved by the Blood of JESUS, to be reconciled back from Sin...to our Heavenly Father God,,,to live a holy, and righteous life before Him, as truly anointed vessels of God. Our lives belong to GOD and his Son is the way. If our lives lines up in His Word and in The Holy Spirit, who guides and teaches us, fills us with God's power in Christ... all these other things if it's His will shall come in time. First let us get right with the Lord, then He will give us the Power to "Wait on all other things!!! Romans 12:1-2

I'll be 26 in a couple of months, and it's amazing how our stories are so similar! I am definitely marriage minded and this has resulted in me having to turn down quite a few guys in my life. But I admire your contentment, its something I have to strive for intentionally on an every day basis. Jamie, I had this exact same mindset before I got married. You are leaps and bounds ahead of where I was in my maturity before I got married. I didn't want to date because 1) I don't like the dating world and how messed up it is, and 2) I prayed that I wouldn't have to date around before I met my husband. So I did go on intentional dates, but I did not want to date casually. I never had a boyfriend and I met my husband when I was 25 and we got married when I was 26. I don't believe it's old-fashioned, I believe it's intentional and I really think it's what God desires for us. Not saying that God hates when we date casually, but I don't think God intended for us to "shop around" before we met our future spouses.

This is so beautiful. I wish I never dated anyone or kissed anyone and save that innocence for my future husband but I'm glad I haven't fully given myself completely to any guy. I'm 27 and most of my friends are married or in a relationship and getting that "you're not getting any younger" speech. I use to give chances to guys that did not fit my standards only because I get the "give him a chance and stop being picky" often, and when I do give the chance I knew I should have trusted myself instead of giving in to others. As I get older I realise that it's not a bad thing to have standards and right now I'm single but I don't have the need to date or be in a relationship with anybody which I'm quite happy about. I wish I felt like this at an earlier age but God works in mysterious ways in each of our journeys so you keep strong to your faith and when that time comes that our good Lord blesses you with a husband, for sure you will make an amazing wife.(sorry for the long essay)

I'm so glad that I'm not the only girl that is marriage minded & I've always been like this. I'm 19y/o & I've never had a boyfriend before just like you ! I've been on dates but I've Never met someone that I feel like will like to spend the rest of their life with me haha, I do believe that God has someone for each one of us but is our decision whether we want to wait for that person or just date someone for their "looks" & then be heartbroken. I rather wait for the one that God has for me because he might me preparing him for me just like he's preparing me for him. I've also heard a lot of "couple stories" that they pray for each other before meeting each other & God answered their prayers. Now they're happily married because they had the patience to wait on the right one & God is the center of their relationship & I feel like God must be on the center of every relationship because that's what keeps a couple together forever. I have struggled so much here recently with people pressuring me to date and immediately get married and have a family and i am ONLY 18, when in my heart I do feel that it is not my time. Even if I have to wait until I am thirty or forty to wait for the one the Lord has in store for me, I will be completely comfortable and content because I will know I am now ready for marriage and my husband will be also. So beautiful girl! You sounds so much like my oldest daughter. She's 23 this year and never had a boyfriend and it doesn't worry her at all. She's also far from ready she'll tell the youth around her. She helps out at youth and just loves hanging out with them and encouraging them. Everything you said is also what she wants in a husband and her dad is also what she wants in a husband. Thank you for sharing.

Watching this video gave me so much life! It's beautiful to see a woman confident in her singleness. Many people see "single" as a disease and it's not. I'm on that same boat as well and I'm trusting God, just trying to celebrate the season I'm in.
Number one thing we should be looking for is someone who loves Jesus with all his heart, mind, soul and strength. Being a "good" man isnt enough. Its about being a man of honor and the righteousness of Jesus. There's too many nice christian boys and not enough godly men. We need GODLY men. 👏❤
I am soooooo glad to hear someone speaking up about "JESUS " Being the Reason! There is a great Big difference in being Christian and Church Folk...than Truly Living a set apart life " presenting our bodies as "living sacrifices" holy and acceptable unto God" Knowing that if we claim to love JESUS, This is our reasonable Sacrifice. And each day we are to deny ourselves of living like those who have not been transformed. With all our heart, mind, body and soul. Why are we saved anyhow? For marriage only? Or Just for other things? No, we are saved by the Blood of JESUS, to be reconciled back from Sin...to our Heavenly Father God,,,to live a holy, and righteous life before Him, as truly anointed vessels of God. Our lives belong to GOD and his Son is the way. If our lives lines up in His Word and in The Holy Spirit, who guides and teaches us, fills us with God's power in Christ... all these other things if it's His will shall come in time. First let us get right with the Lord, then He will give us the Power to "Wait on all other things!!!

I'll be 26 in a couple of months, and it's amazing how our stories are so similar! I am definitely marriage minded and this has resulted in me having to turn down quite a few guys in my life. But I admire your contentment, its something I have to strive for intentionally on an every day basis. This was recorded a while ago, so congrats on your marriage, I hope it's everything you desired it would be!
If this idea about developing ourselves before marriage, is a revelation from God, then he gave that to u and i. people forget that age is just a number. its not about being at the right age to get married, it about being prepared internally. so good toughs on that Jamie.
