- INSTALLING NEW BOAT LIFT - The New Elevator Style Boat Lift at My House
Getting tired of battling the boat ramp every weekend with my 37 foot Seahunter. So I decided to take out my 4 post lift that fit up to a 24ft boat and install a new Elevator Style Boat lift. I seen this style used in the South Florida Area while on vacation and fell in love with the idea. I had a guy named Jordan and his brother Josh who install for a couple companies in the Ft. Meyers area come up and do the job for me. They showed up and got the job done in about 6 hours which was unbelievable. I am very excited and wanted to show everyone how it works for my Seahunter.
The cost for the whole lift and install came to around 16k. And I am hoping it last a long time.
Here is Jordans number if you have any questions- he is a good honest guy and I recomend him to anyone

That's a serious boat lift Bill, pretty awesome place you have too man, could see some real bloopers at the boat ramp, but do's and don't's l think will be helpful for the inexperienced, tight lines brother.

We are in the process of our list and same as you nobody let us know that there's such a gap between the boat and the dock that we have to build something to actually get on the boat.
Yeah still working on mine kind of a bummer
I am installing same lift this this spring, thanks for the video. How is it loading and unloading guests and equipment onto and off of boat?
Funny you should ask that. You have to build some sort of dock over hanging closer to the boat. In between the poles . Wish someone told me before I bought mine. It is like 2-3ft from the Seawall
@@JackedUpFishing have you already built one? Any chance for a picture or two?
@@archambo1975 I have not built it yet. In the middle of a huge kitchen remodel. But it’s on the list.
Nice! Did you customize the bunk width for your boat or just go with 32"-38" standard?
We had to adjust
This style of lift way better than 4 post, easier to dock sideways
Yeah it's been decent so far
Wow man that is an interesting install. I thought they'd drive the poles down with a pneumatic hammer and the same with those I beams. Did they tie back the poles to the seawall by chance?
Yeah I agree 100 percent. Yeah they tied the poles back to the wall, only it was after my boat almost pulled the lift into the water! Lol. It works good now after o shored it up more and tied it back Bigtime.
@Jacked Up Fishing I been getting quotes for an elevator lift the last few weeks and WOW are they expensive. I got a few quotes and good bit of the cost was that install with the barge and driving in those 12" x 25ft pilings then tying those piles back into the seawall.
In south florida is Majority Hi-Tide Elevator lifts.
10/4 they are good but little more pricey when I did my research
Why did they mount the bunks so far out on the arms? What brand lift did you go with?
I moved them it's a QABL brand I think
will they come to hernando beach or hudson
I’m sure they will give them a call
they just use a water jet or something to drive the posts down?
Yeah used a water jet and a cut off piling to get to the hard pan. I knew where the hard pan was since I did the sheet pilings for the Seawall.
@@JackedUpFishing That is pretty interesting to me. Are you worried they may not have hit bedrock and the lift will shift over time?
@@fg146 funny you say that. I sank 2 more poles back in the yard almost 14ft deep and am making a dock close to the boat along with having a turnbuckle cable just to be safe.
How do you get on and off the boat?
I had a big 2 x 12 for a while lol. Now I built a little extension off the seawall with a ladder. It's almost done. I will show int in a future video when finished.
What kind of boat lifts is that man? Please tell me?
Here is the website
www.qualityaluminumboatlifts.com/
Why do you lift it out for f the water? Is it every time you park or just for maintenance or something?
Every time I come home we put it on the lift. This way I do not have to worry about bilge pumps failing and bottoms paint. Its very very nice being able to not worry about it.
Not to mention barnacles
Isn't the salt water going to eat those beams?
It would take years and years if it did. These lifts have been in south Florida for years now. No issues
@@JackedUpFishing The video is 2 year old. I'm curious if you replace zinc sacrificial anodes every so often? Have a diver check the thickness of the beams?
Next time I’m down in Florida for a visit. What’s the chances I could go rip some lips with you guys? I’m an amazing bucket scrubber!!! Lol tight lines Captain
Might be a possibility soon! Where you from?
@@JackedUpFishing I’m born and raised in Daytona Beach my whole life. In 2008 when the economy plummeted was outta work so I joined the ARMY. I went around the world and in 2016 got medically retired due to injuries sustained. I now live in Kansas and have lots of animals and it’s nice a quiet. I like to travel as much as possible and I head back down for some saltwater therapy and retreat back. Lol
@@JackedUpFishing I’d be shocked if we didn’t know some of the same people. Before I got married and had kids I fished anywhere and everywhere. I don’t really care for the freshwater fishing up here but the hunting is amazing!!!!
Bottom paint and Marina fees for me. What’s a boat ramp?
Boat ramp is anxiety lol. Yeah I’ve been at the marina and bottom paint situation as well. Like it behind my house much better. So far at least!
@@JackedUpFishing one day I’d like to have the luxury of having my own dock space but for now it’s my only option.
@@dannyv2335 totally get it! I’d still be trailering too if I didn’t luck out on 1999 when I bought my place. Thanks for watching! Appreciate the comments for sure!
@@JackedUpFishing no problem brother. Just keep on doing what you’re doing and I’ll keep watching.
@@dannyv2335 will do!!
How do you get into and out of the boat safely?
Man its funny you ask. I am in the process of building a dock in the middle of the 2 lifts for that exact reason. Its TOO FAR away for the seawall for sure. Having to walk the plank to get in the boat is not fun.
What’s the cost
costed me right at 15k installed
