FYI!!!! Nearly all full-size boat lifts/ boat hoists (whether with canopy frame or just lift only) require 2+ sets of 7 float strips, certain hoist brands/ sizes and most hydraulic hoists require 3-4+ total sets of 7 strips- see our Boat Lift Installation/ Removal Tools tab on our website for detailed info and pricing! The strips can also be bundled with a ratchet strap/ rope (usually 3x3 or 3x4 cubes) to easily float your dock/ pier with minimal lifting while installing or removing your system, and are especially useful when having to auger the dock posts!
This video showed an ATYPICAL installation which only required 1 set of strips due to the extreme proximity to the seawall, which did not require the whole lift to float, versus a normal installation which will require fully-floating & possibly levering the lift out deeper prior to it being able to float. This is a moderately small/ lightweight package by modern lift standards, but again, certain brands/ styles can have a significant weight difference for the same size specs, which also depends on how it is outfitted with side guides, bunks, canopy frame type, etc. Again, nearly all boat lifts will require 2 sets of strips at a minimum!
