ShoreStation offers auto centering load guides. Only touches the rubrail of your boat. Keeps the side of your boat looking pristine those load guides will damage the side of your boat.
Good video, you are well spoken. I have a vertical lift and I can't seem to get all the slack out of the rear cables. Both sides have noticeable slack. Sides and front are bearing all weight. Is that okay?
If the lift is level and the boat is sitting on the cradle properly as far as center of gravity all the cables should be tight. Feel free to call if you would like me to walk you through the steps to get to where you need to be. 517-294-7476 ask for Jerry

I've installed those. They're really slick!
Thanks Jerry for all the information, just starting to shop for a lift. Am I looking at about $20K for a new 8K lift?
That’s about par for the course to get a solid setup. Call our office and ask for me I’ll hook you up

I live in Canada. Where can I get those foam floats from. I can’t find em anywhere
ill look into this for you
can I retrofit my current lift with those bunks ?
yes you can!
We use black Inner Tubes from fountain tire but go through a few dozen every year. Where do you get the foam in Canada?
I’m not sure where you get them in Canada. Do you know Brian Morton with Sunwalk Decking? He can usually get his hands on them.
Can those bunks be used on boat trailers?
Yes they could be modified to use on a boat trailer.
But wouldn’t the boat have more of a tendacy to slide if you stop fast or sharp turn .
@@deangrande7207 yes you are correct on that but you would really have to trying to make that happen
We have an issue with people forgetting to empty ballast tanks and breaking cables, etc. and blaming the lift for not working. It’s infuriating.
We’re an installation company in NWPA.
We get that all the time as well! It always our fault right!? 😆
In all honesty, this is why I try to steer customers to a lift one size larger.
ShoreStation hydraulic lifts will just stall out if the customer tries that. The older direct drives yes that is a concern.

90% of Floridians dont do these tips 🏆 I'd bet on it. Great video (for us beginners)! How often are you recommending to grease those cables?
We grease every year to every other year. Thanks for watching!
