I accidentally posted Chasing It instead of this episode. Chasing It will be available tomorrow. Sorry for the confusion!
Remember. when Kino Posted "Chasing It" instead of "Remember When"? Well don't tell him, he considers it the lowest form of conversation.
whatever happened there?
Already saw it lol
.......i seent it.....
Shit happens
The end always cracks me up with Paulie buying tony an espresso machine as a thank you for not killing him lol
Need a fuckin pilots license to operate it
Paulie was at his house at the start of the episode and carmela said their espresso machine was broken
Paulie was smarter than folks give him credit for. I’m really thinking as the years go by that him and Patsy have had enough and betray Tony in the end. They both have legitimate beefs. Especially Parisi. Of course Pauley will feel that somehow he’s got even more reason. The two really did make a good team there in the final episodes.
I bet it was the same expresso machine he took from the coffee shop in the earlier seasons with pus
The scene with Paulie laughing at the tv shows how Paulie is happier than Tony and it makes tony jealous because he can't stand seeing other people happy
You are absolutely right....it's actually a two part thing though as well....it shows Paulie's loneliness and that what we see on the screen a la 'Tony's pity face' at first but then he realizes, as you already said, even Paulie without a true family of his own, and basically nothing but his work he is still happier then Tony. It comes back to Tony's duality when it comes to life. Great catch sir, this is an amazing show.
Think this is just another example of Tony's contempt for weakness
Interesting take. I always thought that Tony realized that Paulie was a buffoon with an infantile mind and he was disgusted by his simpleton mindset.
And he was watching Three's Company
I thought it was him being annoyed at his constant he he and guffawing in obnoxious way like he might have Tourette’s
Paulie cackling in the room next door and driving Tony insane is one of the funniest scenes in the whole series.
It’s also reminiscent of when Tony was in a coma at the start of the season and while Paulie is talking to him in real life he can hear his voice in the next door room in his coma dream and bangs on the wall to tell him to shut up 🤣
I wonder if hearing Paulie talking gives Tony any heart attack phantom pain
Beansie sticking up for Paulie was a real stand up guy move
It shows that Beansie was an idiot and so was Tony for listening to him. Paulie was Tony's worst betrayer.
@@rman52 “ stand up guy” lol
Shining fuckin endorsement
Yeah he really stood up for Paulie 😂
@@rman52hush troll
I think it’s so cool how Phil was able to hire the Beastie Boys to take out Doc Santorro.
listen y'all this is sabotage
They were fighting for their right to party!
Over a bite of tagliata no less ... he just wanted a sample lol
They were just 3 lonely Beasties they be
They did him Moe Green style, right through the eye.
I really love Junior's character -- his short fuse, his inflated sense of self, his bouts of nostalgia, his slow but sure decline, his complicated relationship with his family, all helped by the fact that Dominic Chianese looks like an endearing grandpa with large expressive eyes. He sure has a way with the cameras.
Junior is low key my favorite character in the show
When he begs his lawyer to go home broke my heart.
"You and Kino, you ran all of UA-cam's mob show content."
*Borko* "We did? That's nice".
This Soprano clips of ours. Do you remember that?
I mean, don't you love me, Uncle Borko?
*fades to black*
Me: You know, no offence, but had you ever had yourself tested for Tourette's?
Kino: What?
Me: Tourette syndrome. Seriously, "Sopranos uploads, Sopranos uploads". Maybe you got a tic or somethin'?
Kino: I don't know. When I'm nervous, tense or somethin'....
3:30 This is the moment when *Beansie saves Paulie's life, 100%.*
*3:32
I can't remember which video it was (of the thousands), but one commenter said of that scene where Doc ate off of Phil's plate : Butchie was so taken aback, both his eyes actually pointed in the same direction for a second.
I'm sitting in a drs office and this comment literally made me lol 😆
Wait, BOTH eyes? I had to watch it myself to see it.
Remember When Pure Kino posted "Chasing It" before "Remember When"
It’s the lowest form of content creation!
Borko is out, the position is there for Kino to take over, and he starts messing up the uploads.
It's a metaphor. He lost his balls.
Walt f***** Whitman over here.
I got the sense that if Tony would’ve had a heartfelt hour conversation with Beansie every week, be would’ve made more progress on becoming a better person; rather than all his disingenuous sessions with Melfi, which really taught Tone zilch except how to be a better liar.
Tony saying "Remember when is the lowest form of conversation" contradicts his advice in Season 1 finale where he tells his kids to "remember the good times"
he's really fallen since then
I really don't think he's talking about the same thing here versus back in season 1. At all
The more relevant comparison in this episode is that while Paulie is doing too much remembering, Junior can no longer remember.
I'm gonna miss Junior.
Mentally this is the last time we see Junior. The Junior we came to know.
I absolutely adored Junior. Low key my fav character. But honestly I thought Dominic Chianese played a dementia patient best of all (my father had dementia so I was comparing him to a real life person).
Out on the open seas and Tony still finds the resources to cook a rich Italian pasta dish, gotta admire his commitment to heart disease
Boat scene is very good.
Look how Paulie keeps his right hand on his stomach just in case Tony might attack.
Once Tony offers him a drink, he stands up to defend himself from a retaliation. Paulie is very smart when it comes on instinct.
A lot of people already know this but Tony Sirico spent time in prison and that influenced the way he played Paulie a lot. The reason Paulie's hands are always in front of him is because it's a prison habit meant to keep you able to defend yourself if a threat suddenly presents
He turned his back to Tony and stood at the bow! He was waiting for death.
3:11, Junior losing his slipper always cracked me up during that scene
That poker game and the contrast with the executive game always struck me, great insight as per. This kino, more creative than Spielberg
Stand up guy, REAL allegorical
@@swagdaddy3828 your brother Borko, whatever happened there. *does sign of the cross
@@robdean704
Sopranos theories: WHATEVER HAPPENED THEAH, CARMINE?
@@swagdaddy3828 a don doesn't wear shorts
Damn, i'm always so sad when watching Junior mind dying from inside, imo one of the most heartbreaking scenes of the show
Junior is at once the funniest & most heartbreaking part of the show IMO. Absolutely fantastic acting.
The scene of Tony shooting Willie Overall would actually make for a perfect finale to The Many Saints Of Newark, since like Kino said it was the first step towards becoming a made man and into the depressed mob boss we all know and love. *Heh Heh~...*
Come on kid, do it! - Paulie
Jeepers I really like that idea.
I feel like the ending will be dickie's death
The movie would end before that unfortunately
This is only a personal theory but it would be better if Tony shot Christopher’s pop dickie (yup he lied about that retired cop) and groomed Christopher out of guilt.
"If anyone tried eating off Ginny Sack's plate, they'd lose a finger"
The food would already be gone before your fork reaches the plate
Very allegorical
Oh! That’s some guys wife!
When she goes camping the bears hide their food.. Heh, Heh, Heh, Heh....
@@ChaosTheory9 I'm just breaking balls! Marone!
Again, this is where Kino's ambitious scheduling is a bit of a problem. The Tony-Paulie boat scene is probably the most intense of the series. You completely glossed over Tony toying with the idea of taking an axe to Paulie. It's still a tough scene to get through.
It feels like something that could come out of a horror movie
Walt Whitman ova here.....Make a video yaself then!
Also don't forget the tension of the scene of how Tony keep playing with his food on the boat but refuses to take a single bite from it. I was on the edge of my seat watching that
And the boat is dramatically rocking the whole time, enough to almost make the viewer seasick, evoking the uncertainty of the scales weighing Tony's decision, yes or no, believe Paulie or don't, kill him or let him live.
@@biancadistefano7612 What's the problem? Kino is awesome, but he's really missing some critical details. But that's expected because he wants to get the reviews done before the movie drops.
Season 6 is the most depressing season. I knew it wouldn’t turn out good by any means but the season as a whole bums you out and dose a really good job of showing the down side of the mob life.
there's a neat detail in this episode, where junior goes to carter's room, he mistakenly calls him anthony, which sort of connects his bond with the kid with how he sees tony
Doc. taking Phil's grilled cheese was the last straw....apparently he didn't realize how much Phil compromised over some amount of time,I'm drawing a blank how long....
Nice 2 soprano logs in one day. Thanks. New subscriber here. Finally all caught up. What a binge.
Carter was one of my favorite characters. Just so much emotion it’s great. I feel like he’s very underrated.
You can say whatever you want about Paulie, but was brave. He felt Tony wanted to kill him and just stood up waiting for the blow. He wouldn’t fight back, but he wouldn’t beg for his life or sit down. That’s why he asked Puss (in the dream) if it when the time came, whether he would be standing up.
I genuinely got hurt for Paulie when Tony said that "remember when is the lowest form of conversation".
Me too 😢
"Remember When" It's the lowest form of conversation...
Guess what that makes The Many Saints of Newark?
Doc Santoro's execution was partially inspired by execution of Paul Castellano in XII 1985 - 3 shooters (4 originally) all dressed in the same common outfits, caught Doc lackin' when he was entering his car...
Two episodes in 1 day. What a treat by happy accident.
I was always happy that Jr was able kick the health issues and become the spokesman for Six Flags and driving that bus and dancing.
Love this episode because of Paulie. The Junior stuff is some what disturbing.
Beansie (kinda) saved paulie’s life.
Look forward to my lunch break every day so I can watch these.
You mean dinner... Greetings from Germany.
My favourite episode of the whole show.
It's almost over and one more week before the movie. Great review. Always watching these reviews on my lunch break at work since you started. Thanks for everything
The first time I watched this episode, the last scene with Junior and the cat weirdly reminded me of the opening of the Godfather part 1 where Vito is petting a cat in his office. Funny that, one of the few times Junior actually reminds me of a mob boss is when his mind is so far gone that he doesn't even know what the mob is, let alone that he was a boss (even if in name only).
Feel so sorry for Carter in this episode, I wish he and junior got more time together, somehow I think having a bit of a mentor/father from Junior might've managed to mellow him out
Or, you know, teach him how to be a crook, cheat, liar, manipulator...
Jeez Kino take it easy, you almost killed junior ovah there.
Remember when is a double entendre for Jrs memory too😣
Amazing job, Mr. Kino. Thank you for doing this for us!
I never knew the name of that shopping cart that Paulie and Tony hung out with in Florida before, thanks Kino!
Kino's become our number one uploader through sheer hard work; he's a real come from behind kinda guy. I don't wanna see that apple cart disturbed.
Go grateful for this channel, thank you Pure Kino
No singing at the end Kino?! Whaaaaa?
As an old guy, I really admire Frank Vincent's hair in this series. Seems like it's really his, too.
Whoa! 2 soprano logs in one day? Did I die?. Good things do happen.
A great episode of brilliant acting for Dominic Chianese and Tony Sirico, not to mention James Gandolfini as always
the lowest form of nostalgia is the 3 am alarm call from the other side. pure minutia. I though Ken leung was brilliant in this episode, loved him.
UP IN DA CLUB!
fun fact: the guy who played Carter in this episode played a role in Rush Hour 1 as one of the main villains who was rivals with Chris Tucker, whose character's name is also Carter :)
0:43 THANK YOU PUREKINO
does anybody called Larry’s lawyer ?
the boat scene with paulie was so fucking intense the first time i saw it
one of my favorites right here
So the many saints of Newark was released in the UK today and I've just been to the very first showing. No spoilers obviously, but you guys are going to love it. Great work with these recaps by the way
I can't wait 😃 I'm so happy to hear a rave though, now I'm even more excited 📽 I haven't been to the theatre in forever
@@ennuiblue4295 my first visit since the pandemic/ lockdown... but it was going to take more than a plague to stop me going on opening day! Sucks that the US doesn't get it until October. Good luck avoiding spoilers!
Damn! Wow didn’t realize it was released so early. Lucky man you are.
The ending is so great in this episode. That song/poem by John Cooper Clarke is awesome.
Wut sup Kino 👋 it's all good bro love your videos
Have wonderful days Kino 🙏 from Texas Pearland 😁 keep them videos coming I always watch them.when I get off work!? 😁😊
the beginning of episode about Tony's first kill
reminds me of Chrissy's first kill and when him and Georgie dug up the body of Email I mean Emil
I think Tony would have bitten off more than he could chew if he tried to wack walnuts on his own, Paulie unlike Tony served time and survived prison, not quite twenty years but I reckon he could grill a cheese sandwich, and seemed to keep himself fit doing weight, and a bit of aerobic, maybe some jazzmic dancing judging by the leisure suits. Tony on the other hand was recovering from a gut shot and spent most of his time sitting and eating
There was a time when he could bench over 300 pounds….With a major head cold one time, he did it.
Tony beat down that muscled driver he had.
He actually scopes the room looking at all the guys.
He chooses his own driver because he had no tats so assumes he is not "battle tested"
Its actualized vileness. He preyed on what he felt was a weak kid. To instill fear into his own men.
@@michaelross1452 true plus the fact he knew the driver wouldn't fight back against a boss, also he thought he would look better taking on a younger fitter man.
Tony did time in prison, too.
@@Guyote_ its never really discussed, Tony said he was in for a short period but this was probably while he was waiting for bail, probably only local jail. I do not think he did any serious prison time like Walnuts.
Paulie in the hotel laughing and disturbing Tony is the same scene as when Tony's in a coma and Paulie was talking to him about the ChinUps contest lol ❤😂❤
What is up Sopranos faaaans...Kino HERE
This episode has a slightly different meaning and impact now after learning Tony Sirico was suffering from dementia before his death. Kind of echoing Junior’s arc.
omg haha, I got to see Chasing it AND Remember When!
Love to see it :)
Great synopsis man 🤌
Want to watch the series again
Love your content!
Asian dude left the psychiatric facility and became a Chinese mafia boss in Rush Hour
Sorry about not leaving a comment for a couple of episodes. You are still going strong! I feel a little melancholy over the missing song, but to be honest, your voice is more suited for listing up your patrons. You actually sound kind of badass when you're bored.
Wish they didn't have junior get dementia.
3:50 - Flashbacks. Great editing.
The Lord works mysterious ways two uploads in one day and it's my birthday. I turn 17 today.
Junior petting at cat at the end lol
Forgot that Kino is Asian! Carter was like the only Asian guy featured on the Sopranos besides Korean Kim and that Asian assassin. All the characters were memorable in some way though.
Your delivery makes me believe you are from the East Coast. I’m a West Coast Asian dude.
Poor doc, never saw the Backstreet Boys coming
You mean Boyz II Men?
Beastie boys?
Heavy D. & The Boyz?
3:11 hilarious how Junior's shoe flies off lmao
Keep up the good work Kino
It was sad about uncle Jun in the end, he was probably one of my favourite characters
I knew I recognized Kino from somewhere!!!
Chinese kino? Pauli almost went into the Witness Protection Program. Thanks for the episode!
Damn I forgot how much went on this episode. Such a good one. Love it
4:15 Nothin' like scarffin' down a big plate of rich, thick, pasta while you're bobbin' up and down out on a boat in choppy friggin' waters
Beansie talking about Paulie quite possibly saved his life!
the mental hospital scenes were amazing, Sopranos+One Flew Over The Cukoos Nest lol
This is my favorite episode. Great Paulie/Junior episode. Doc's eyes were bigger than his stomach so he got one in the face, just like Moe Green.
Rest in Peace, Tony Sirico (Paulie) 🤟👉
Lol Paulie did love to talk.
P.s Beansie was a good guy
Hoaaa! Many shots of Paulie pointing with just one finger!
Kino is not wasting any time ! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻❤
Doc Santoro's move is a metaphor for being Greedy @4:42 for example: Hyman Roth - "Smaller Piece"
0:44 Barese's going from a fake half and assed smile, to a complete "I just shit myself" expression, literally all in a quarter second. It really amuses me.
Kino uploaded a video. So, I guess I gotta put off cooking dinner for 10 minutes
That boat ride was wild, plus doc Santoro pissing off an already pissed off Phil. Imo def top 3 best episodes
Junior and the mutant made a good team.
Definitely a favorite of mine
Pure Kino= Pure Epiphany
