I used an Innova 5210 scanner to see what my problem was on a 2007 Cobalt SS. Came up as C0040, front right wheel speed sensor. Started this winter at random times. Seems to go active after a cold wet day & after carwashes. My front wheel bearings were replaced last summer. The mechanic didn't use bulb grease to protect the plug. I had mild corrosion on the plug, loose connection? The plugs were unplugged, cleaned, & reconnected. The wire loom was cracked in spots on both sides. Replaced the wire loom. Siliconed the lead into the wheel. Could have been a ground fault. Code doesn't specify open or short. As of today it hasn't come back.
Is you're problem still fixed? My wife's car had the same problem. I found a couple videos online about running a ground off the TCM, which seemed to fix it, but it just happened again. I turned the car off and back on. Still happened. Turned car off again, checked ground, which was solid, and when I turned the car on again, it was no longer happening. We plan on giving this car to my son for his first car, but I don't want to give it to him if it's going to be dangerous.
My service traction light appeared in the dash board and it also said reduced engine, meaning my engine was slowing down. But it still let me drive all the way home at a reduced speed. I just had gotten in my car and it started doing this! I was like omg…..so we will be taking it early in the morning to mechanic!! ~ anybody got any suggestions to help me, Thanks!!
Thank you very much!!!!!!!!! -------2Timothy 4: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
@@cdbennett2332 any religion… why preach during a video about cars? Silly AF. Do not you think it would be just as stupid to see someone preaching atheism before a video on how to change oil?
That's why I skip video to 3:00 good video and very helpful I have nothing against religious ppl or they believes I'm not religious person and never will i see you're point @kennethedgar3839

I have not had any issues since I repaired the wire.
Definitely understand
Whils driving my Chevy cobalt my Trac off light and abs light came on then steering went bad and lost all power the car died and key is stick on acc
Interesting.
There is a recall on the powersteering motors on some of the Cobalts. Mine did everything you described & it was the power steering motor.
What's going on with it
I am not sure but I don't think losing power to the car is related to the taction and ABS lights. You might start with the battery or generator.

Religion, really?!?! Sheesh!
If he was some other religion would you leave a message or is it just cool to bash Christianity?
