Ever since manufacturers started putting computers in cars to monitor every part, it's been one costly problem after another. Engines used to be easy to diagnose and easy to fix without computers. Now it's just a nightmare. The computers cause more problems than the engines ever do.
Just wait until the government starts forcing car manufacturers to put sensors and to monitor you and your parts to determine whether or not the vehicle can run. It's coming, some of the bills have already been passed in Congress to allow remote shut off if the car senses you are impaired. For real look it up, I believe by 2030 is supposed to be implemented.
Very informative, start with a simple solution and work your way up. I had ABS, brake light and traction lights on on my 2014 accord. I checked brake fluid and it was full. I started the engine and pressed the brake paddle 3 to 4 times. It reset the ABS system and lights went off. Hope it won’t come back again up again 😊
Top off the brake fluid !!!! Fill it to the max line!!! 2014 q60 owner here. I had both brake light and traction control warning light on after a brake fluid job. I never knew the car had brake fluid level check sensor until today. I thought a minimum amount in the reservoir was enough but obviously it's not ok with G37/Q60. After learning about this from a web site, with a very much doubt in my mind that topping off the fluid will do the trick, I went ahead anyway and topped it off, started the car and Voila!! immediately the annoying lights are gone! Top off the brake fluid!!! Fill it to the max line!!!

I have the Trac and VSc light on. I believe its because my rear right tire is going flat now that I listened to all your suggestions. I just ran through a puddle during a storm and hit the breaks slightly and ABS and traction control lights went off. I figured it was more of a temporary sensing issue but the lights do not reset automatically after power off. Is there a specific reset process for a 2015 Lexus ES?

I chased was for almost a year. I changed one hub that seemed to be the problem but didn't fix the light. I then changed the other three hubs and still the light was still on. The problem ended up being there was this green corrosion in different parts of the harness so after addressing that the light finally went out.
Question, I have a 2016 Ford expedition. I replaced the ABS because the dealer told me too now they tell me I need to replace the vacuum pump because I had exactly these problems that you’re talking about. My sensors they said we’re fine, but just today after trying to back up a little driveway hill, my right tire seems to spin out. The traction light comes on and it just blinks. Again, the dealer says that my vacuum pump needs to be replaced and they think that will fix the problem. Any input from you would be great. Your videos are fantastic. I trust your input more than them for some reason I feel like I’m putting a Band-Aid on a bullet one and they’re just shooting at this blind again again, thank you for your time.

I have a 2015 Kia Soul ex, and I do need front rotors and pads. The rear has already been done and fixed. Today, I stopped at a stop sign, and the car stalled. It started up roght away, but then the TC light came on, and my rpm gauge went to 0. The car didn't want to accelerate much either. Im assuming this is because of my needing to do my front brakes ( pads and rotors). I turned TC off ( using the button) as I can't have my brakes fixed for 2 weeks as the shop is busy. Hopefully, this is all it is. It's just crazy to me though because back in the day, I'm an 80s kid, I drove my mom and dad's older cars from the 70s and they never had TC on their cars and it drove just fine.😮
I just bought a used car. Then service AWD light comes on when I turn on the wipes, which is what engages the AWD. Could it be the tires are not all the same?
Check your breather hose to your air filter too; esp. if recently changed. plug the hose back into the hole in the intake. Update: A cracked coil stem was the problem. USE TOYOTA COILS, not aftermarket ones.
This is exactly what my mechanic told me to get he just fixed my alternator wire and he told me to get a hose for the air filter. If I’m getting this right the light should turn off after this correct?
To add to everything you said, the first thing you need to do is hook up a Biderectional scan tool and research the individual codes. The very next thing you need to do is use your scan tool to perform a reset/recalibration of the ABS/TRACTION Control system and then Clear all DTCS, run another scan and see what comes back. If nothing comes back than chances are you did brakes or suspension on a newer car and the ABS system needed to be reset.

I have an 04 Honda Odyssey van that's been sitting for the last couple of years in the garage. I just charged the battery and fired it up. No problems started it right up. Took it for a drive for about 4 miles and by the 3rd mile the traction control light came on right after I swerved to miss a goose on the road. Don't know if it was related or not but the engine light is now on as well constantly. Thoughts? I also need to drain the gas. The exhaust smells a little bit bad, but it ran perfectly.

After just turning a small curve uphill in university campus in my Crv executive (2023), the car lost control and skidded. Thank God there was no pedestrian or another vehicle. I went to Honda service right away and they just drove the car and said everything’s fine. No, it was dangerous and I was not even at high speed.
For a titan truck... So I replaced a relay for the horn and the slip light came on and stayed on. All electrics work, no issue with brakes, sensors, all fluid levels maximum.... Checked the fuse box ground.... Did the whole drive straight and unhook the battery things.... No luck, still on. It's the only light on. What can clear this darn light out? I was told it was a wheel speed sensor that was causing the weird noise & feeling in the brake pedal when I stepped on it & the instrument cluster has an erratic flash + service stability control. I acquired this 2002 Escalade w/ a lot of problems… annoying problems that should’ve bn easy to fix. Sum were simply, sum needed a real mechanic- honestly, I think mechanics just didn’t want to fix. I’ve bn to shops & asked shade tree mechanics to fix it. Idk, I guess it’s just too hot in SC for them to work & think at the same time. I’m on the verge of selling it. 🤦🏽♀️ (I miss my Tahoe). I got an 06 Escalade. My traction control and stability control started coming on. At first it would cause my brake pedal to get spongy and reduce engine power. Then after a while, my brakes started locking up and smoking on the front driver side. Now sometimes I can't barely get it to move out park. I changed steering wheel sensor, wheel speed sensor, throttle body, cleaned the reluctant on the wheel hub and it's STILL acting up. I don't know what the ell is wrong with it. It's been about 5 years sitting up but I can't bring myself to take it to a shop. If it didn't have that stupid shit, it would be running good now with no problem. 🖕that truck🤬
I have a 2018 chevy malibu LT with 55k miles... just a few days ago i landed on a very deep pot hole and my stabilitytrack came on, my sterring assist light came on, the traction control light is lid up on the dash and all my TPMS stopped monitoring all my tires read zero PSI... lastly my front right control arm and sway bar link got bent badly to the point my wheel was rubbing againts the inner fender lining.... I changed the lower steering shaft for my nissan maxima ' I did alignment and car running straight ' but suddenly sometimes when I turn the steering right or left it brakes hard by itself like crazy as if car slips. I noticed that sometimes the 'steering is not in the center exactly ' and sometimes centered. Do think this issue caused by the aftermarket steering shaft? And the angle sensor reading something wrong when I turn the steering ' that's why vdc and abs stops the car by the ecu itself
I bought a brand new 2024 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss, and after just 10 days and regular road/highway driving, a bunch of warnings popped up on screen. Service Traction Control, Service ESC, etc. It reduced my speed and acceleration (a preservation mode I assume). Luckily, I was almost home. When I opened the door I could hear a strange engine sound and it smelled like something was burning/rubbing. I also assume my issue isn't just a faulty sensor with a quick fix, lol. Or it could have been a sensor/computer error that triggered a system response even though the problem came from nowhere. Do you see more issues with vehicles that have more electronic systems causing mechanical problems or vehicles that are more analog having problems?
What's a good way to start trace it down friend when light stays on but no code so it causes me to lose abs and has already caused a fender bender from sliding ... I guess I'm asking were would be best to start at cuz all the modular and stuff for abs is not cheap so I don't want to just go through and replace everything if I don't have to being that would be up in thousands to redo the whole abs system ... I fixed my clocks spring cause our horn wasn't working. Then about two months later, if you take a corner or a bend at slow speed, the traction control kicks on and it almost cause as you to crash the vehicle.. Do you think it's due to the clock? My tcs light comes on on cold mornings (no rain or snow, just cold) and my check engine light comes on at the same time. It happens as soon as I turn my car on and then it stays solid and my car doesn't want to shift at all. After I let my car warm up, the tcs light goes off but the check engine light stays on. Why is my throttle control light coming on like a half a second before my traction controll light comes on? I turn the car off and turn it back on which allows me to drive a little ways before both lights come back on. I've already replaced the throttle body. The printouts at O'Reilly's told me to replace the map sensor after I replace the throttle body. I replaced the map sensor, but it's still telling me I need to replace the map sensor. Both the throttle body and traction control lights are still coming.

Do not ever ignore traction control and abs light, took me 2 months to diagnose on my Chevy Malibu 08 it was the both control arms and speed sensor.

I changed steering wheel sensor, wheel speed sensor, throttle body, cleaned the reluctant on the wheel hub and it's STILL acting up. I don't know what the ell is wrong with it. It's been about 5 years sitting up but I can't bring myself to take it to a shop. If it didn't have that stupid shit, it would be running good now with no problem. 🖕that truck🤬
I have a 2018 chevy malibu LT with 55k miles... just a few days ago i landed on a very deep pot hole and my stabilitytrack came on, my sterring assist light came on, the traction control light is lid up on the dash and all my TPMS stopped monitoring all my tires read zero PSI... lastly my front right control arm and sway bar link got bent badly to the point my wheel was rubbing againts the inner fender lining....
I ready replaced control arm and swaybar link...

I changed the lower steering shaft for my nissan maxima ' I did alignment and car running straight ' but suddenly sometimes when I turn the steering right or left it brakes hard by itself like crazy as if car slips. I noticed that sometimes the 'steering is not in the center exactly ' and sometimes centered. Do think this issue caused by the aftermarket steering shaft? And the angle sensor reading something wrong when I turn the steering ' that's why vdc and abs stops the car by the ecu itself

I bought a brand new 2024 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss, and after just 10 days and regular road/highway driving, a bunch of warnings popped up on screen. Service Traction Control, Service ESC, etc. It reduced my speed and acceleration (a preservation mode I assume). Luckily, I was almost home. When I opened the door I could hear a strange engine sound and it smelled like something was burning/rubbing.
I also assume my issue isn't just a faulty sensor with a quick fix, lol. Or it could have been a sensor/computer error that triggered a system response even though the problem came from nowhere.
Do you see more issues with vehicles that have more electronic systems causing mechanical problems or vehicles that are more analog having problems?
What's a good way to start trace it down friend when light stays on but no code so it causes me to lose abs and has already caused a fender bender from sliding ... I guess I'm asking were would be best to start at cuz all the modular and stuff for abs is not cheap so I don't want to just go through and replace everything if I don't have to being that would be up in thousands to redo the whole abs system ... Took foot off gas pedal and then resumed to normal speed again in a little bit. The light came back on this happened two or three times so I turned my traction control off and made it home. Should I be looking for something in particular?

I have a 2015 Toyota Highlander Limited. I had the front end alignment and the traction light came on. I took it back to the mechanic but he wasn't aware how to get it to turn off. Told me I would have to take it to another shop (Firestone). I have been looking on UA-cam to find an answer but haven't had any luck. How do you know which tire needs the wheel speed sensor? I'm new to this and I don't know much about cars. But Everytime it rains my TCS OFF light stays on and so does the slip light.

I have a 2005 lincoln tc with a bad electronic door lock module that does the same..try taking the battery cable off and wait a few minutes..resets everything..have to do it whenever it rains..till i can find one...good luck...

I fixed my clocks spring cause our horn wasn't working. Then about two months later, if you take a corner or a bend at slow speed, the traction control kicks on and it almost cause as you to crash the vehicle..
Do you think it's due to the clock? Spring of clean the wheel sensors. They were dirty had a bunch of chunks. But after cleaning it it did happen once again

My tcs light comes on on cold mornings (no rain or snow, just cold) and my check engine light comes on at the same time. It happens as soon as I turn my car on and then it stays solid and my car doesn't want to shift at all. After I let my car warm up, the tcs light goes off but the check engine light stays on. I have an 02 Honda Accord and we've checked everything we can think of.

Why is my throttle control light coming on like a half a second before my traction controll light comes on? I turn the car off and turn it back on which allows me to drive a little ways before both lights come back on. I've already replaced the throttle body. The printouts at O'Reilly's told me to replace the map sensor after I replace the throttle body. I replaced the map sensor, but it's still telling me I need to replace the map sensor. Both the throttle body and traction control lights are still coming.

Strange. It shouldn't affect the A/C system at all. Check if anything got loose like the pressure switch connection on the A/C line.

question my traction light comes on while driving, it feels like i lose the power steering and brake is hard to push. i noticed yesterday that the RPM went from 1 1/2 to 0 when the light came in and still in drive . when i put it in park the brake gets really hard and wont push down .i have to turn the van off and back on for it to go away ?? no one knows what it could be, its been tested 7 times nothing comes up .any answers ????thanks
