      This is just superb, I been tryin to find out about "how many candles can you make with 50 lbs of wax?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Panlijah Inconceivable Position - (search on google ) ? It is a great one of a kind guide for discovering how to become a candle making master and turn a profit without the headache. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my friend got excellent success with it.

    I would like add a tip for people looking into candle making. Let your candles cure for 2-3 days. The reason why you let them cure for a few days is so that when you finally burn them after you've let them cure the fragrance will be much stronger :) I hope this helps ☺

      DO NOT start a business following Candle making youtube videos, especially this one.
      1. Essential Oil can be toxic to burn
      2. YOU NEED TO MEASURE BY WEIGHT, NOT VOLUME.

    Here's a tip for wicks, cut a straw a little shorter than the wick. Put the wick through the straw, then use the straw to press the wick down into the jar. I have a candle business and use soy and beeswax. I started doing slush pours (when it's starting to get milky/thicken) and have had great success. Not sure how I got here, but great video!!! :-)

      Can someone experienced help me please? I am a begginer, so far I've only studied (not done a candle yet). As far as I've read, the flash point only matters for fires and that'd be rare, so that thing about essential oils evaporating at higher temperatures than their flash point is BS? Can you guys 100% confirm that the best temperature to add essential oils is 85 degrees Celsius for an optimal hot throw? No matter what essential oil?

      You can actually add it to your wax while melting it if you are using the Double Broiler method. It is best to also add your dye at 185° Fahrenheit or 85° Celsius. But also depends on what wax you are using. Each wax has it melting highest temperature. Add it to the wax at its hottest to make sure it melts properly. Hope this helps.

    • @gracefullygrowing88
      @gracefullygrowing88 4 роки тому +11

      I would suggest using paraffin wax if you want to color it. You can get candle color dye. Soy wax from what I’ve experienced doesn’t work well with color. It does this frosting thing and the color looks awful

    Did you do wick testing for the wick? What is the diameter of your jar? Why best your wax so high, I own a candle bus and with soy wax I have learned that pouring at that high and heating wax over 185 is not a good idea

    And does it differ from every oil?

    • @ISHITABHOYAR
      @ISHITABHOYAR 4 роки тому

      From video it looks like: For 4 cups of wax, she added 2 Tablespoons of Essential Oil. So for every cup, you’d need 1/2 tablespoon. I am not sure if it differs with every oil but this should help I guess

    • @zenauradome
      @zenauradome 4 роки тому

      I'd also say that if you oil is a strong ie peppermint you will need less. Whee as lemongrass is classed a top note that burns quickly . Check out essential oil top middle and base notes for essential oils . The lower the note tends to last longer so less of oil .. if that makes sense
