It's not quite right, the orb just doesn't take explosive damage, so explosive payload just halves your damage. It's the same as other interactable objects, like the obelisk in vow. Explosive weapons like grenade launchers will only deal impact damage to it

@drewwatson6980 his sleeper bugged and shot faster than normal after he did shot caller, so it looked like cascade. Sometimes people play on autopilot and try to use bait and switch on a weapon that doesn’t have it. it looks like a similar mistake. That’s the joke

They misunderstood the plat at Nez. You were still able to get the Platinum for Nezarec with a 3 phase, provided you had defeated Riven in the same run / instance. If you ever noticed the multiplier next to your score... it goes up +1 for each encounter completed. But if you come in at a checkpoint, you'll notice that the multiplier has reset.

The sheer confidence on them shooting the wrong eyes and saying your callouts were wrong was hilarious. This is what happens in LFG when Bungie doesn’t patch cheeses and keeps raids (an “endgame” activity) at base 1600 light instead of a pinnacle 1810 activity.
They should really start capping encounters at -10 power or have a gradual cap starting -5 and going to -20 at final boss. It’s wild that you can join any LFG pantheon and people will say they’ve never done the original raid encounters before.
I had a dude who was so very confident in crota's that he was shot calling because he could top out damage, comparing me on well/tractor to himself on pyrogale with lament. Dude was knee deep in telling me tractor was slower than 6 swords, then said we could just 2 phase, then got mad at me for swapping to the sword just to make him shut up "where's tractor, why are we 2 phasing"

The "big jump" in score that they were talking about at the very end is only given if you do a full run, no checkpoints. Thats how my team completed it with platinum, we didnt hit time on nez and still got the title.
It’s seems to be more that you need to do atleast one or two previous encounters before Nez to guarantee plat. Started from rhulk after a break and still got plat from a 3 phase on Nez

I'm pretty sure the witherhoard taken thing is true, or at least was. I know I remember seeing SOMETHING abt witherhoard+malfesance doing more damage than just malfesance, but I don't remember if it was a unique interaction between them or not.

Wither hoard makes things “blighted”. Which lets malf and wishender do more damage. People just assumed “blighted” was taken since that’s what the secondary perks increase damage on. But the blighted interaction is something else completely different and witherhoard never changed the enemy into taken.

The guy sorting by triumph score isn't exactly wrong. I mean there are lots of bad players with a high triumph score and vice versa but I find it to be a better metric than guardian rank.

I’ve run a ton of GoS raids, and one LFG I ran was just insane, these guys were doing stuff like breaking the Consecrated Mind Shields without running relays, one shooting the hydras in the vex relay encounter.
I still couldn’t tell you how they were doing it.

There are a lot of toxic people in LFG. Had some guy the other night blaming everyone other than himself like he was perfect and never messed up an encounter in his life. Most obnoxious thing I ever had to listen too

The taken spec thing isn't as wild a statement as the ballswingers in these comments would suggest... it works with malf (and wishender) so understandable that one could think taken spec would work, because it should
Witherhoard works with Malfeasance and Wishender. So the "taken" damage buff is not Malfeasance exclusive but yeah, it does not work with taken spec.
Why are you damaging Riven’s black mouth will GL in the beginning, kinda a waste of ammo compared to top floor damage and zit breaking.
