I agree. There's definitely issues with character implementation here, difficultly spikes are too inconsistent, communication on what to do, like when fighting new Guardians, Snake Trial & Supreme Phase 2 & also some of the platforming was a little insane (Ouranos Tower 4), but this guy is absolutely selling the DLC short. Not unlocking skills makes no sense, especially when skill points are everywhere in abundance. Each moveset possesses a gimmick, literally because they need a basis, like Amy with Tarrot Cards, Knuckles with gliding & Tails with flying. The difficulty for the 5 towers is only an issue imo, on the 4th Tower, with Trials 2 & 5 being difficult, but THAT'S IT! Defeating the Titan's on the 5th Trial & fighting Supreme Phase 2 are the most agreeing critic I have though.
The update was difficult, but not too hard. We do need a patch though, adressing some of the bizaree difficultly spikes like with the 4th Tower & 2nd + 5th Tower Trials.
You should definitely unlock Tails' mech. It changes everything, the cost is worth it. Also, on Extreme difficulty Master King's trial gives 1/15 of a second (datamined value) to parry and if you fail it once - back to Giganto. And you can't just temporarily change difficulty to Easy because safe file on Extreme is stuck forever on Extreme.
