I like the experiment. I try to split batches into different fermenters myself. Comparing different yeasts and fermentation temps is always interesting. Cheers!

Got a few notches toward MHP! That Kolsch keg went fast. I need to brew a similar batch.

Great work, keep it up! Solid sounding beers. I think your regret of 1.048 would have suited all the beers better, and I imagine your increased OG accounts for the lack of perceived bitterness. Did you adjust your hop rate for the higher OG? When I am in this scenario, I prefer to water back either into the fermentor or in the oil kettle.

I agree that the beers would have been closer to target with a lower OG. I had not thought much about the bitterness impact, but I think you got a good point there. The Kolsch had a bit too much malt character for the style. It was not sweet, but either a lower gravity or a bit more bitterness would have balanced it out.

I was planning to do exactly this for my friend’s teacher conference. Belgian Single and a Helles from the same brew day! Unfortunately I got COVID and am still completely wiped out 3 weeks later, so the ingredients are still sitting around 😢
