love the OD color. I wish more manufacturers would offer FDE and OD for all their models. Great video.

I bought a S&W shield about 5 years ago and it is one of my only pistols that has never failed to feed or eject a casing in over 1-2 thousand rounds.
Same bought in 2017 at age 22 or so. It was my 1st handgun and I still carry it the most. The trigger is definitely lacking compared to stuff out there now but it has never jammed or had a single failure. I own a bunch of compact guns but not full size and I want a metal gun with a threaded barrel. Looks like Im buying this in the morning when the shop down the road opens since they have this in stock.
I got the Gen. 1 M&P, and it's been a good pistol for 13 years. The trigger is not the best, but it works for me.
I agree. I have a first gen shield and it is a pleasure to shoot without ever having one malfunction.

I am very happy to see many manufacturers producing all metal pistols. Don’t get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with polymer pistols, I just prefer all metal. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Not me. Comp keeps down barrel rise. I have a good one on my Grunt Ar-15 and it helps big time. But it makes it louder@@jamesdelong6401

I got mine and need to do an initial clean before I take it out.
Bought yesterday first 5 rounds all stovepiped, 115gr FMJ. I cleaned it and lubed it but havent shotten it since. Probably just needs 10-20 rounds of break in after the cleaning. My 1st smith and wesson shield did the same thing for the 1st mag or 2 and then never again.
I fired 150 rounds through mine. Approximately 120 out of the 150 rounds stovepiped or failed to feed. Sent it back to S&W for repair. Got it back today, but I have not shot it yet. I did remove the compensator and noticed I only had one set screw.
I love metal frame guns. They are as my son would say " Drippy". The only down side is the grips take a beating ( for me anyway) for my edc.

I remember the 5906 back in the day, it was a great gun...
Now i would love just a standard metal 2.0 but they are hard to find and being on a fixed income i don't have the $850 for one...
My wife has the 9mm EZ and loves it...

IMO you can’t go wrong with a Smith&Wesson.
I bought a Body Guard .380 that I'm not too found of but all other S&W I own are very enjoyable shooters.
@@mikemitchell4130 After a few small upgrades it can be nice tho Imo. I have a .380 bodyguard with the integrated laser, a heavy hitter spring and deferent trigger shoe its a perfect small pocket pistol that wont go off unless u make it. TUI rounds its a snappy little guy. With the laser you don't even gotta aim it.

A single stack M2.0 Shield in .40S&W actually handles better.
I rock a Hellcat RDP everyday now. And with 9mm, even the +p loads, it’s not as jumpy.
I think with the bodygaurd’s size they should’ve stuck with .22lr or .22mag.
@@mattandrews8528 I love mine. I usually carry my shield .40 or g26. I always wanted a bodyguard. it is very snappy but I like snappy little firearms.

Very nice pistol. I have an old original M&P .40 which I absolutely love, got it for $300 as a police trade in, like new without a mark on it. 15+1 in a .40. This new metal spec model is amazing. Great video Sootch00
I carry the 2.0 regularly, I would have a holster made and IWB this and carry it. I carry an M9A3 IWB so I think I can handle the Spec with the compensator with no problem. The reliability of the M&P gives me the confidence to carry this gun as a self-defense option without question. I already carry a Hellcat compensated so I think I can handle the M&P the same, even though it is a larger gun, quite comfortably, especially considering I’m a bigger individual that can conceal larger handguns easier than most. Thanks for the great review as always.

Absolutely Smith & Wesson is an awesome pistol in my option.I am the proud owner of multiple by them> From 45 down to 380 and my absolute fave is my 6 shot revolver .Hey just wondering will my M&P 2.0 SHIELD MAG WORK FOR THIS BEING IM ONLY ALLOWED TO HAVE 15 RD MADG HERE IN THIS SHYTIE STATE I LIVE IN ILLINOIS. That is a great price for that model. I love the OD green. I’m thinking of upgrading my M&P 9 1.0 with this.

The video shows the set screws walking out and falling out of the comp. Definitely the cause for stove pipes and erratic ejections.

I Like the innovation however, if Smith and Wesson would like to truly impress people with all metal firearms especially Gen X bring back the 59, 39, etc.series. Though this firearm seems somewhat still impressive, in my own opinion I believe Glock even though considered by most ugly comes out ahead when you start comparing the two. The Glock had simplicity, more parts availability and selection and most importantly the ability for the user to service the firearm himself with a minimal amount of tool and training.
Very scarce right now but I found one and ordered on Rural King Guns. Smith & Wesson is my "go to" manufacturer right now. Really accurate, reliable & cool firearms.

The four mags and super-thread locked comp (per Honest Outlaw) are super nice for the price, especially with a sub-4 lbs striker fired trigger. The knife and challenge coin are gimmicky, like SIG with its Legion series/Legion club or whatever they call it. Canik also has the Apocalypse package or something but I don’t think it has four mags nor a comp, but it does come with a holster (and not a shitty factory Springfield holster).

Why does sootch praise the low bore access but then not point out how suppressor height sights affect your presentation. I shoot majority M&Ps for all my pistol shooting and the original in 2012 was my 1st pistol. Put 25k rounds through it. So all those reps and each variant M&P. How do I not have to put in reps for the height of diff sights the way I had to for the RMR?!?
love my 2.0 compact.. thinking about the Metal frame 2 tone which was beautiful in person...but wow. 950 bucks. hmm. and it's only in the Full size right now? NO Comp, looks stupid. to each their own.

You put the recoil spring in wrong blue end goes to the front of the barrel and the black end to the back
perhaps due to it newness, i have a couple of unfair questions: are there any holsters available for this model? Has anyone heard of the compensator coming loose after just a few magazines?
