Installing Mk6 WV GTI Performance Mods!! (ECS Clutch, Wavetrac Limited Slip, H&R Springs)

- It's been a while since I've update you all on the Mk6 GTI! I've installed a lot of little mods to it since then, as well as some larger mods, such as a Stage II ECS Clutch Kit, Wavetrac Limited Slip Differential, H&R Lowering Sport Springs, and some EuroSport bracing.
I found that the GTI's stock clutch was slipping, due to the Unitronic tune's increased torque output. There was also a lot of chassis flex, as well as creaking coming from the subframe. I address all of these issues in the video!

Man… you got a lsd but went with H&R springs 😭 just a good mod with a terrible one that’s just as important.
I got koni 1150 and I highly recommend.

So I actually have mixed feeling about the stage II clutch. I’m in the middle of rebuilding the GTI engine right now, and when I took off the clutch, there was some concerning wear patterns after 10k miles. I asked the technicians at my work about it and they said it looked like the pressure plate was manufactured incorrectly, when it was lathed. So I tried getting a replacement for it from ECS, and they wouldn’t help me out. I ended up buying a stage 3 South Bend instead, and am about to put that on. Hopefully you have better luck with your kit! Make sure all of the little “fingers” on your pressure plate are even. And make sure you do the bleeder valve mod, so the clutch isn’t dampened, which will lead to more wear.

No clutch chatter! But there is gear lash chatter. I think a lot of people might confuse the two. The gears are pretty loud, but after some research, there isn’t a whole lot you can do about it.
