@@josealfredfernandes You need to do the Sub Crawl. Where you put the sub in your seat and crawl around until it sounds best. This is a real thing. You cannot predict where it will sound best.
I have the 12' Kali Sub... you'll not regret it... they have a insane amount of watts also so you can lower it quite a lot to perform better. For a Sub, the Dynaudio Core Sub would be a end game for you... that's down the 15hz if you like them apples for headroom
It's absolutely nuts for being dual 6" drivers. I have it sitting on a hutch that holds my 27" screen on a FRONT mounted arm and my studio monitors. The bass is INSANE.
I wouldnt be surprised to see more 6.5" and 8" subwoofers, even arrays of them like this maybe up to 4, in a single box becoming popular. Car audio has been really refining the 6.5 game and theyre getting to the point where the high end companies are getting curious what they can do with that platform.

I'm totally late here, but I was wondering the same thing. The KEF sub was a dream sub for me but can't pull the trigger due to price. I just ordered this for my studio. Wondering if this stacks up well enough.
@@mjamiep12 Kali sub doesnt reach as low in the subbass frequencies but Kali does have lower distortion and cleaner and tighter bass. Get kali for music and mastering, get kef for movies

Q acoustic makes a dual 6.5 sub. Maybe not for movies but they’re crazy musically good. Sometimes they’ll be $214. I ran a y-chord off my preouts off my cheap Schiit preamp. It’s silly good sound with q acoustics 3030i.
I‘m also interested in BK subs but there unfortunately are almost no reviews about them. Every UA-camr talks about SVS, Rythmik, HSU, RSL or emotiva but except SVS you can’t get any of them in the EU.
@@juliangst I have one myself. The outside veneer finish is perfect. Sound is pretty damn good but took some fine tuning to get it to where I am happy with although that will be the same with any subwoofer I should think. Mine is the XLS300 down firing. I looked at other subwoofers you can get in the UK and Europe but BK seemed pretty much like the best ones you can get for the money. The wait time was long though but well worth it I would say.
@@Punisher9419 They look really nice and the XXLS400 for example has really similar driver size, cabinet volume and amp power as the SVS SB2000(pro) but just costs half as much in the EU. But without any hard data (like CEA2010B tests) it's difficult to know if it really competes.

What would a "small" space means tho? For what I can perceive in Zeo's video I can use it in my home theater, but I really don't know. I not a big fan of too much subwoofer, just the exactly right amount that a movie requires.
@@FrankVila sub pressurizes the room. volume of the room needs to be accounted for. 400w rms ~1300 sq ft volume. ideally speaking but if your space is opening into a larger space maybe use multiple subs and room correct if you have the money to even out the low end.
Hi Zeos Would like to know if you plan to make some (very small) PA stuff reviews in the near future.... Like Meyer Sound, Martin Audio, D&B Audiotechnik, Nexo, L'Acoustic, BassBoss..... I would be interested to hear your comments on those gear as well. Most likely Meyer Sound and BassBoss, since they are U.S. made, and easier for you to reach them. (at least rent some for me pls.) Sometimes I have to play in small rooms, sometimes in mid size, and sometimes in large rooms.... I would like the idea of using Kali speakers regardless of the room and audience size... I prefer quality and not quantity, so if a studio monitor can fill the space with sound why using (even the best) PA stuff? Top and Fav and Tier Lists are almost too restrictive? Nobody would consider the other things if they don't make a list. And you really need to keep your eyes open for everything I review. #6 in a top 5 might be PERFECT for your situation.

IF this was a hobby only, I would absolutely grab a DIY kit. But since I have to "review" and move-on after almost all things. I find it harder to commit to the days/weeks long builds if I am just going to shelve it a week after the review to start the review of the next thing.
I totally understand why you wouldn't want to commit that time. Maybe there's middle ground here. Are there people who are making diy projects you'd like to review? Perhaps they'll lend you their completed projects to review, and you and they can cross promote each other's videos, where they publish the build and you publish your review. Question for those much smarter than me- I have a 2.1 setup using the Kali LP6 V2’s oddly enough and a Klipsch Sub12 subwoofer.. The sub only has RCA inputs, no outputs, the Kali’s obviously have XLR/TRS/RCA inputs and no outputs either.. My question is, can I get a DAC that has XLR/RCA outputs, such as a Schiit Modius (or one of the other 1000 that are out there with XLR/RCA outputs) and run the XLR to the speakers and the RCA to the subwoofer? Or do I need something with a “sub out” or low pass filter? The subwoofer does have a built in low pass filter.. I feel like it’s a dumb question, I think that I can, I just wanna be sure before spending $300/$700 on a piece of kit

I don't know about this newer sub, the 12 inch has dip switches you can select for the kali range to perfectly crossover. Depends your monitor size I'm guessing, the 8's may be pointless with the smaller sub etc?

I added a ws6.2 to my In8v2 in my bedroom. And it makes a big diffrenece.
If you want to get your mind blown for by a subwoofer that costs less than 1k (700 USD exactly) - get your hands on a Dynavoice T-12 (swedish)

A car has a lot of cabin gain you won't get in a 100m2 living room or even a small 20m2 home theatre

We use the foot switch to cheaply hear our mix on smaller speakers, cheap way to translate between sizes :)

I don't know how easy they are to get in the US but BK subwoofers in the UK are pretty good for the money.
