I make them the same, but I spray them with white vinegar instead of oil, and they come out golden brown and crispy!! I put white vinegar in a spray bottle and sprayed them, and they are great!!! I learned this trick from Doctor Michael Greger!!
I make mine the same way Except.. I add smoked paprika!! So good!! Sweet potatoes I do the same except instead of garlic salt I add tajin!! Omg so good!!!
@@karenhollahan5648 anytime!! it’s so good! It’s so addicting! I usually cut up the sweet potato potatoes, and then bake them with all the spices and put them on a salad! Soooo good!!
I love you! I love your videos and your recipes. Please, please, please stop apologizing for the way you look at the beginning of your videos. Let’s normalize women coming as they are. ❤
The fries look amazing, well covered, and I love how she just up and shook the pot with her own strength! I think that may be hard to do. I've never made these before, but yum!
So excited to get this bundle. I'm a newbie to your channel & haven't taken the plunge into a plant based diet yet..I'm gathering all the info & putting a plan of action into place. I LOVE your channel!
Something I wish I knew before I started, it's easier and more delicious than I thought it would be. Find the things you like by trying a lot of different things and recipes. Also the 50/50 plate work "when in doubt"
Kiki is one of my fav vegan, whole food, plant based on UA-cam. Binge watch her videos back 4yrs. Personally I like UA-cam better than Instagram, it feels like we get to know her better in her videos.
I will be making those fries later today. They look so good!! Right now I have brown rice and cauliflower with soy sauce and seasonings for breakfast..cooking. Yum
I adore potatoes. Every since I can remember when I was a kid, I always went for the potatoes! Now I just don't put on the butter, sir cream, etc. I LOVE making sure fries now. I can't live without them. And your cheese sauce. ❤
I will never make my fries without the cornstarch again! lol. I do the same but with smoked paprika also - but I think the cornstarch will be a game changer - and we like your casual look! (as we are mostly watching in similar attire!)
I missed you! took a 2 year hiatus as plant life didn't work and not sure what WILL work but your veggie recipes is what I loved and will purchase the book, here for the link!
These garlicky fries look great and I can't wait to make them later today! Just purchased the bundle. It was a little tricky to follow the steps to access your "cook along" (using the coupon code), but figured it out. Great to support all WFPB recipe creators and appreciate your UA-cam videos.
I’d like mine with NOOCH and onion powder. I soak red lentils and cook with potato water I never throw away. I add whatever prepared veg in boxes in fridge ie capsicums, courgette, carrots.
Thank you, Kiki! I LOVE this 50/50 plate you’ve created here - I’m salivating! 😍😍😍😍 Potatoes and asparagus are two of my absolute fav foods, too. Cannot wait to make this asap! Thanks for taking the time to inspire us! ❤
Honestly with it still being technically winter, Spring/Winter=Swinter here, and bugs and viruses going around the more arlic the better!! I love fries and I can not wait to make this dish. 😋
Thanks Kiki. Love your new cookbook, had the delicious lemon blueberry waffles this morning for breakfast. Think it will be French fries for lunch. Yum
I knew I felt a connection with you, fellow "volume eater", haha. I thought I was the only girl that ate more food than her husband. Will be trying these fries this weekend. Wish locally we could get better non-starchy veg, though, those asparagus look great. It is what it is. Take care. PS: so happy you made another long form food video, Thanks!
This isn't the right video for my comment but I have to let you know I made the gluten free cinnamon rolls from Planitifully Lean cookbook. These are out of this world amazing! I was hesitant to make as I wanted something quick, but it came together fairly quickly. These are my absolute new favorite. My husband loved them too! We had them for breakfast yesterday then dessert after dinner. I have question, though. With the 3 cups of oat flour, is this measured after grinding oats or before? Thank you for everything! You have changed so many lives!
I wonder how using potato starch and cornmeal as a coating would work? I also read that using masa harina flour works well? I just purchased one of your books. I enjoy your channel. It is the best. Thanks for the great information!
You need the breville air fryer! I use it for everything because it does everything! I’ve had it 5 years so far. I use it every day. It’s expensive but an excellent investment
I love your weight loss food recipe videos. I miss your other Colorado house, 😥it was so beautiful the way you staged it, the view, hearth, etc., especially the pantry. Do you live so far away from town that you have trouble with mountain lions or bears? You were initially so happy in Florida. But I wish you'd spent a month in Florida before selling your other home. It was very special and it seemed more open and bigger too.
Oooh boy, those look amazing!!! I can already smell them lol. I definitely like to be cozy in my kitchen before I cook. Always get my slippers on and my fave sweater before I dive in. Thanks for the recipe! Love the dish towel hanging on your oven btw! Feel like I remember similar wall paper??
Hello , Kiki. You may have shared this in a video I have yet to see, but I was wondering what you prefer for beverages( I’m not asking about alcoholic drinks, but others may be interested in that); also any differences in your skin? IF you don’t mind sharing. TY
Love you Kiki I miss my potatoes so much and bananas. I go back to the doctor in May so I will be able to speak to her about this protein spilling in my urine! I need my potatoes
Edited: I made these tonight. I weighed out the yukon golds and added the right amount of spices. After being in the oven for about 30 minutes, they were slightly crispy but not crispy enough. What can I do to improve them? Don't get me wrong they were good, just hoping to tweak them to be better. Suggestions? I've read the Starch Solution a few times and I want to begin. You're showing me recipes that I can truly eat without making things complicated. Thanks for this recipe. I will try it tonight. Thanks for making this starch solution simple and not so terrifying. 50/50 plate makes all the sense in the world. It doesn't have to be complicated.
The fries alone would fill me to busting. I make mine like that but with nutritional yeast instead of corn starch. So yum!
I just purchased and received your cookbook Plantfully Lean. I have been trying to loose weight for a while with little or no results. Wish me luck !
I make them the same, but I spray them with white vinegar instead of oil, and they come out golden brown and crispy!! I put white vinegar in a spray bottle and sprayed them, and they are great!!! I learned this trick from Doctor Michael Greger!!
LOVE ur little comments, "I'm xtra" & "U do u!"
So honest & fun. Keep it up kiki!
I make mine the same way Except.. I add smoked paprika!! So good!! Sweet potatoes I do the same except instead of garlic salt I add tajin!! Omg so good!!!
Great idea!! I actually bought tajin spice for a recipe I ended up not making and have been wondering what I could use it for. Thanks for the tip 😊

I made these last night and my family loved them! Thank you, Kiki!
You are so right about Lissa!!!! I totally agree!!!!😁😁💕
It appears that I have the same model oven as yours. The convect mode is the same as an air frier, so there you go!😊

Were they cooked enough after you steamed or boiled them? The oven should just be crisping them up ☺️
Delish w Cajun seasoning & your ranch dressing!
Those fries would be great with your tortilla soup! Soup and fries -yum
If you soak your potatoes it helps make them crispier 😍
In water with vinegar?
yum, how do you make enough for the week and/or for a large family?
I just made these and they were great!!! Thanks for sharing your recipe and tips!
From pueblo Colorado hi Nikki hope you are doing well and your family.
Love love love! Happy Friday ❤
happy friday!!
I constantly make your cinnamon rolls and enchiladas, thank you🥰
Are those in her website or book?
My issue is I work until midnight. I’m hungry when I come home. Is this ok to eat at midnight and lose weight?
Thank you KiKi
Ooo I want to try a Cajun fry version!
This looks amazing! I LOVE fries.
