Ya know what I love about KiKi? She's real. No fake stuff. When she films a video she films it all. Spills, the dog, the kids, her mistakes, etc...everything! I love that. The reason she is so popular is because she is so real. I always wait for her videos of the Homestead. She is just a Rock Star in my book.
Thanks so much for featuring Kiki! She is the real deal and such an inspiration! I love her philosophy and approach to plant based living, she is a beautiful soul for sure!
Kiki is awesome! I love her cheese sauce and her being so real with our struggles. Love Rip and his whole family! Both of you are so blessed and thank you for blessing us!
Kiki seems more relaxed here. Normally she is a bit shy on podcasts. She was happy and personable like on her channel here. That says a lot about the host.
Wow!! Kiki is so creative with her delicious simple recipes, I have to get her book, thank you Rip for flipping through some of them-gives us a great idea of these yummy dishes. Kudos to your photography Kiki and to your book! Rip I loooove your mom’s savory steel cut oats with shitakis , it’s my go to most mornings now 😋😋😋
How wonderful to hear Kiki on your program Rip. Kiki is a food and lifestyle inspiration and she's constantly working on problems which are ongoing too. She really is an inspiration with a wonderful family.
Kiki is real and humble and obviously grateful to be able share her journey to the power of WFPB way of eating. I’m buying her book. I hope she has some Mexican influenced WFPB recipes. If not then the next book! I think maybe another reason she’s more content is every day she gets to Forest Bath in her mountain home. Keep up the great work Kiki. Thanks Rip for inviting Kiki and the great questions and highlighting some of her recipes.
One of the best interviews, ever! I have her book, 1st edition & seriously, if you haven’t tried HER cheese sauce, get makin’ it!! And, I substitute Hemp Hearts for cashews & it’s still amazing!
Great interview! Been following Kiki since the beginning. Lost 55 lbs and reversed multiple health issues. Her ranch dressing is amazing. She’s so real and love her recipes.
Bananas are a delightful addition to sweet potatoes! Add a little hummus (yes hummus on bananas!) and balsamic glaze to it with some greens - perfection!
I'm absolutely a savoury person too. Your Mum's savoury steel cut oats was a game changer for me! It's my favourite breakfast and how I get my greens in the morning. It's delicious!
Loved this great interview! I have Kiki’s book and it was fun going through some of the recipes ‘together’ with you. I was so impressed reseed when she said she photographed all the food. What a gift you have Kiki! I found the cookbook in Walmart, I was so surprised!! Two of my favorite and inspiring people…Rip and Kiki!! ❤❤
Finally! it's great to see Kiki on some of these more 'commercial' plant based podcasts. She's a 'savory' person as am I... and she keeps it simple and real. Well done Rip.
I have been following Kiki since she started on UA-cam. She was one of the first people I found that was straightforward, made it sound easy. And her recipes were so much more doable than a lot of the recipes that you see when you're beginning a plant-based diet. I was so relieved to find her after 2 years of being plant-based, but feeling like all the recipes were overwhelming. Thank you Kiki for being brave enough to share your journey!
One of many wonderful things about Kiki's book: There are no portion sizes Eat as much as you want, anytime you want! LOVE you kiki! Please meet Mollie Katzan quick! You are made for each other!
I love Kiki. Her meals are & look amazing. If one really wants to loose weight with WFPB & the starch, that is amazing. I love rice & other starches she prepares. She makes these meals delicious. I love her ranch, low fat is super great. I cannot wait to try the cheese sauce. Grest work Kiki.Blessings.
Love Kiki SO MUCH ! Rip your the best ,have all your books And your Mom and sister’s new book and watch them All the Time ! I make Savory Oats from your Mom ALL the time ! I also eat Rip’s Big Bowl if t I’m not eating oats !Thank You for a great podcast 👏👍😍
Am ao happy to see Kiki’s success. I remember laughing and relating hard when she made potato chips in the microwave and didn’t care about bits of stuck kitchen role:)
I'm a mountains person. I have friends who MUST have the ocean, but not me. I lived in Los Angeles for over 2 decades, and rarely went to the beach. "The mountains are calling...and I must go..." It's real. I don't live in magical Taos, NM but Grandma Taos Mountain CALLS people to her. She's a living being, and famous Taos lover, Dennis Hopper, talked about it.
I'm THIN and vegan and struggling to keep my darn blood sugar down. It was 173 this a.m. after a no fat but high carbs and protein (pea protein) breakfast. :-(
I found Kiki on UA-cam 4 months after she started her channel. She has something about her, she's so likeable. There isn't a recipe of hers that I have tried that I didn't like. I have tried a few black bean brownies over the years but only Kiki's taste good.😂
Rip - Kiki puts the Hungarian Mushroom soup over potatoes and the texture issue goes away! I had the same issue and this is now one of my favorite recipes and I make it almost every week!
Rip. You and Kiki both are so down to earth and honest. I love when you guys mention things you don’t like (because some of those I don’t like either). I don’t want to be a clone of every plant based person. There is a lot of room to add ingredients that suit you to make it fit your tastes. You both also have very simple recipes that anybody can do. Thanks to you both for sharing your wisdom and experience!
I love juicing organic green vegetables on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. Straight celery juice is best for me, but my favorite juice(in the juicer, not the blender) cucumber🥒romaine 🥬,cilantro, red bell pepper🌶️lemon 🍋🌽and a pinch of cayenne.😋
It's not about that. It's just showing how calorie dense it is. A pound of non starchy vegetables is only about 100 calories. Vs a pound of oil at 4,000. 1 tablespoon of oil is 120 calories. So you can have a nice salad for just a couple hundred calories but put a little oil on it and you just doubled or even tripled the calories of the meal. There's a lecture by a guy named Jeff Novick about calorie density. He explains it really well. Kiki actually mentioned in it this interview
@Laura Stephenson the point is a little bit of high fat food is a lot of calories. While a lot of a low calorie food is still only a little calories. Don't get hung up on the unit of measurement being a pound. They are not saying eat a pound of this or a pound of that. It's just to compare the calorie density of foods.
KIki is one of the GOATS online next to High Carb Hannah, Broccoli Mum, and Chelsea Mae. The best ladies ever
Kiki is so inspiring, not in a loud brashy way but in her own lower key way. Love her! Watch all her videos ❤

I started dieting at age 11...and definitely didn't need to. I get that. Eating more veggies is definitely a game changer.

Inspiring interview. I pre-ordered her book and couldn't wait until it was finally release to receive it.

If one doesn't like the texture of fresh mushrooms, then try dried rehydrated mushrooms.
This is such a great interview…..thanks Rip for bringing on Kiki!
Love Kiki and Rip.
great book your amazing.
riced califlower and shredded zuchinni in oatmeal is delicious! :)
Awesome! ❤
I have both of her books
Thanks
I picked up my book at Walmart.
In the carbohydrate list Kiki didn't mention any fruit. I wonder why that is?
Good stuff.
White rice, white flour products make mucus & give me sinus infections, along with plant milks!😢
Don't hate on white rice Rip!
Who can eat a whole pound of nuts, or avacado?
Not me, just a half avocado or handful of nuts puts weight on me!
