- I watched the Star Wars movies growing up, then went off to university and majored in isiZulu. One holiday I was watching through the movies again, but this time, hears something different in the Jawa's speech, they were speaking isiZulu! Sped up and out of context phrases, but very cool!

I can't believe they speak my language 🤣 mbambe mbambe, yini le iyasinda lentsimbi that's Zulu
Mntungwa! Impela bashaya uMageba uqobo 🤣
It took me all this time to realize the Jawa talking with pressured and paced out speech patterns is timing them lifting R-2, the same way people tend to count to 3 before heavy lifting
Haha! That’s amazing! They do make three sounds before lifting R2! Their speech is actually sound bites of isiZulu speech sped up and at a higher pitch :)
I heard "uyasinda lomsunu" 😂😂😂😂😂
Nami 😂
I've been saying this for years. Thank you for taking the time to make this video 😁👍
Ah thanks so much! Really appreciate it! As long as people are learning some isiZulu, I’m happy :)
A trainee tutor got me to do a typing exercise on Jawas.
That must have been wild!
😂"Hayii Soka! Uthini!"😂😂
😅Uthunywe Ubani?
Kwahleni bo! Uthini?
Trevor Noah talked about this year's ago.
I knew it. I’m happy it is confirmed 🤗
Ya man! Super weird watching the movies again after studying zulu and hearing the language i just studied in a movie i watched before studying that language! How did you find out?
Now wait a damn minute 😂

Also broke my brain when I found out!
Uthini!?
Jawanese is just speed up Zulu 😂😂😂
Khazokubona sisiXhosa its short for khwauze uzobona. IsiZulu ngu woza uzobona.
Uyasinda lomsunu😭😭😭😭
They are asking "Uthunywe Ubani?" 😅
Subtitles broke, can't turn on
Anyone thought about the fact, that this could also be a "The Minions" Trailer? xD
Does "Utinni!" translate to anything?
Uthini = "What are you Saying?"
Yes, it means both “What are you saying?” and “What do you mean?”
Lore wise it is either a sound when exited or to call others over.
I like to make my own english dubed subtitles in my mind
