I cannot fault this excellent Swamp Thing review video, by ManCave. Sadly, as with most McFarlane action figures, they might look impressive, but the poor quality issues, ( that have plagued McFarlane since the early days of Spawn and Halo figures ) means that I will never purchase any toys that he has a hand in.
Just found this at Target and now I am watching this review because I am an in box collector, and I need to vicariously live through Mancave Collectible Reviews as he unboxes this beauty.
I’ve been looking for it but no luck. There are so many resellers in my city and they go store to store daily grabbing toys, funkos, sports cards, Pokémon cards, hot wheels etc lol. I did get the plasma series 2 pack today and Hammered and Shocker from Spider-man retro series yesterday. Not a bad week so far
Great figure looking I'm a big Spawn fan as well from comics to action figures and im talking about the old school spawn action figures those were epic. And relative to the mcfarlane dc multiverse figures they have been coming with a lotnof QC issues as far as articulation joints specially the baf ones sometime whem I'm playing with them the arms seem to pop put which that should never happen, i have never had a problem with the old spawn figures as far as articulation goes never at all
Boss great review!! 💪🏼 That thing is massive very well sculpted and detailed, i really like the face🔥🔥 . Btw loctite 401 or liquid glue works great for plastic.
Wicked review, man. Can't believe how massive this fig is and I agree his feet are way too small and all figs should be able to stand up without a base! Too bad the arms came off in-package but I'm glad to see you've fixed the issue. Cheers!
Aside from a few issues, I’d say this is still a well made figure! I actually did not know he had butterfly joints 😳 I haven’t opened mine yet! Another great review, Cave!
I would b pissed if mine had that qc issue. I love this figure tho but it shouldn't have these issues at all. My 3 jokers batman had one leg that was out of the peg that sinks into the thigh. It was fixable but thats not suppose to happen at all. Tho my swamp thing has no qc issues I feel for those that bought one and had issues. Great review bro and keep hunting.
THIS SWAMP THING IS AMAZING SEEN HIM TODAY AND VERY IMPRESSED I THINK I AM ONLY GOING TO PICK UP THE MEGA DC MULTIVERSE FIGS AND LEAVE THE REST ON THE SHELF THANK GOD IM A IN THE BOX COLLECTOR LOL
bro bro bro bro....i walked into target to day and saw him....LAST ONE. saw a savage he man and orco but i had to return it was only there cuz it was broken. The swamp thing is AWESOME AND HYOOOOOGE. MAN SUCKS YOU HITE THAT ONE FIG OUT THE LINE. My red hood dark knight had booth arms broken.....a week later the replacement had one lol
Dang man, stinks about your figure being broken right out of the packaging. I got this guy a while ago from Amazon, after the first one I ordered from Gamestop got lost by FedEx and the second one was the gray version. Only trouble I had with mine was getting him to stand on his own, you already know I feel exactly the same way about my figures needing to be able to stand up. I finally got him in a really good pose and he never had any issues, loved this figure so much that I had him out in the living room until yesterday when I finally made enough room for him on a shelf. The best part is this is the first DC McFarlane figure I have put with my DC Universe Classics collection, since Swamp Thing can really be any size and I don't have any other version of him. I haven't heard of anyone having QC issues with Swamp Thing, just the logistics of getting him to stand. I have a bunch of McFarlane DC and they are definitely cheaper figs, but usually good articulation and paint for what they are. I usually end up adding some paint or fully customizing mine since they are so cheap I don't mind doing that. But recently I have seen A LOT of people getting new figures with QC problems, broken right out of the box, arms and legs snapping right off when you try to move them around. It's mostly been happening with the blue/gray Target exclusive Batman with the crazy cape and the black/gray 3 Jokers Batman. McFarlane has definitely done something where the newer figures coming out are having major problems, so it's seeming like more and more QC issues may be happening to folks. Luckily they are cheap and I only cherry pick specific characters, but they really need to turn things around (and stop doing those side eye faces) if they want to keep selling these figures.
I’ve heard that a lot of these figures could be sitting on the ocean a long time and the temps fluctuating so much could be causing some glue and stuff to deteriorate and come loose. Who knows. But I’m with ya, my biggest issue now is just keeping em standing. Lol. Great looking figure though either way!
I dont have swamp thing (yet), but I've got a Steppenwolf and his right arm is loose and like swamp things feet they were too small. I couldn't get him to stand up.
I quit DC mcfarlane multiverse simply that reason of QC issues . I bought the dark father wave for Christmas got the whole wave on clearance also got red son on clearance to and took red son out first and his head snapped right off had the same issue with death metal Batman foot . The pre posed figures in package doesn’t help . I feel I shouldn’t have to heat up the joints every time I touch a McFarlane figure it’s annoying so I sold off the dc mcfarlane multiverse and will not buy his stuff again
As said before McFarlane figures may look great but their quality is subpar. No where near the level of Legends and they don’t really come with any accessories plus add in the scaling problems. I love DC but can’t get into McFarlane figures.

Appreciate the feedback on that!
This Figure is huge & looks absolutely amazing.
Well said

Haha. Enjoy!!! He is very impressive no doubt!
I hate to see those QC issues, but definitely going to roll the dice on one myself 🤞🏾
I would def buy it again. The sculpt makes it worth the chance.
Great review, I hate it when a figure breaks during opening or posing, My Jada toys Count Choculas arm broke when I was doing a review.
Yea man! I have had many other companies do the same but I don’t review a lot of Mcfarlane. So I was hoping this was a one off.
Let’s Go
I remember the swamp thing movies and cartoon back in the day
Me too dude!!! Very nostalgic. However, the movie seemed a little better in the 90s versus now. Lol.
@@ManCaveCollectibleReviews ya it was cheesy but you know how bad they would screw up a remake and it would be all cg.
@@mrdestro7283 true! I need to checkout that series from a couple years ago. I heard it was decent.
Nice review! I picked this one up at the Target in University City today.
Nice find!! I hope he’s fairly easy to find for folks.
Great review. I’ve had so many joint issues with my McFarlane figures. My Hal Jordan’s left arm is so loose, it just flops all over the place.
Hate to hear that. I worry about QC issues with these now for sure.

Nice pickups there!!! Still gotta find those retro carded figures myself.
Hey MCR 👋, very cool review of Swamp Thang 😎 👌.
Thanks man!!
Great figure and review
Thanks!

Oh yea dude, the old Mcfarlane Spawn figures were unreal for their time!!
Man that fig is a beauty... I'm most definitely going to be looking out for this bad boy
He’s hitting. Get to huntin!!

I actually used Loctite!!! Good call bro!! Great minds think alike. Haha.
@@ManCaveCollectibleReviews they do think alike, you stole my line , lol.
Debating getting him to get him and customize into a Mythic Legions creature. Awesome review and figure!
That’s actually a great idea!!! Never thought of that but if u had a cool custom head, I bet the Ogre size stuff would fit em.
@@ManCaveCollectibleReviews I was thinking the “Forrest Flayer” head from Legions Shop!
@@JustShelveIt oh yea dude!! Do it!! Let me know how it goes!
Ah sweet you didn’t pick up the swamp thing what a great looking figure I had to get two one open and one sealed
Such a great fig brother! Mcfarlane nailed the sculpt on this guy.

Thx brother! Yea, def soured my feelings slightly but at least the fix was easy and minimal.
I have the occasional stuck joint, but very rarely anything worse than that.
That’s good to know. I was hoping my issue was def a one off.

Just found him yesterday morning in target been looking for him for a while but now I'm scared to open him
I bought that same figure today at target 🎯
What’s ur thoughts on em?
My head was broken and off when I opened the shipping box. I returned it for another with no issues.
Nice!!! Glad u got to do a swap out. I would prob do the same if I could find a replacement. I worry he’s gonna be hard to find.
I saw him at target is tempting me lol
Lol. Do it!
I just uploaded my review yesterday
I’ll try and check it out!!

I didn't have any problems with mine. I got it from Amazon.
Gotcha! Good to know and glad to hear. Hoping my issues where a one off.
Just opened my Swamp Thing yesterday, but did not have the qc issues.
Excellent info! Thanks for the feedback. Hoping this was a one off with my bad luck.
QC issues aside, this is an impressive figure. I have both the green and grey versions.
Agreed! Hoping the QC issue is a one off. I def love the look of this figure for sure.

Yea, that’s one thing I wish all companies would work on. If u have a 9-12” figure, the feet have to be bigger than a 7” figures feet. Lol.
