I’m watching your videos as they are released although I won’t be ready to start this beautiful project until well into the new year. I’m putting the templates etc on my Christmas list so hopefully will have everything I need to follow along later!
Hi Pauline, I'm really enjoying these lessons and learning heaps. I did notice though that you didn't mention the half inch border and some of your pencil marks looked like they were almost at the edge. Is that just the deceptive angle of the camera or have I missed something?
Lorraine, thank you for your comment, we will certainly start using a darker pencil as I will draw all the designs on paper for the filming soi the cameras will pick the lines up better. cheers Pauline
I could do this on the reverse of the block of my own design quilt too, couldn’t I? The patchwork side has lots of colours etc that would make the marks hard to see. But the backing is just one colour. As long as my centres all lined up, I think that would work too.
Love the melons and their variations. Not so much the large free form curves. I've played with them on paper, and no matter how the pattern turns out, I just don't like it. I'll keep playing before i transfer onto fabric. I hope ill strike something that pleases me.
this is amazing technique.. Im enjoying how great the separate blocks look so far. Chuffed at how great it looks
I am so happy to hear you are liking the technique and the blocks! 🥰

That sounds like a wonderful plan Chris! Have a great time when you get started next year 😊
I love this series, thankyou Pauline. You explain it really well, you're patient, calm, peaceful and you really help us ❤
Thank you so much, I so pleased you are enjoying the technique. Pauline
👄 learning so much!
Looks great. I’ve got some material together. Looking forward to starting it, maybe after Christmas.
I know you will enjoy and will learn lots from this program.

Idea is great but could you consider using a heavier, darker pencil to demonstrate as the pencil lines are too faint to see properly on the video.

I like the idea of the melons, the freeform curve scares me a bit. Love your directions though as they are easy to follow.
Thank you, I am thrilled you are enjoying the lessons. You will be a great quilter very soon I think you will love what is coming.
