I tried to make a table cloth and need extra fabric to make it bigger so I did the bias cut to add to my table cloth , 40” circle and once I put it on it would not lay flat so I remade it into a Christmas tree skirt instead any help on this for the next time thanks Lisa in Florida usa
Hi Pauline. I was wondering if, when stitching the bias down even with the invisible thread, does it interfere with the quilting pattern on the reverse side of the pattern? The quilting before the appliqué is done with cotton isn’t it? So you should be able to still see the quilting pattern. It was a question that came to me while watching your tutorial. Thanks for your thorough instructions from Blackbutt, QLD.
Hi Jean, I usually use the Mono Poly thread in the bobbin when quilting, and again when I do the applique . Yes the applique stitching on the back then looks like more quilting lines. It does look really neat once the quilt is finished . Thanks for watching and for the question. Cheers Pauline
