Tony Robles, a professional pool player who I believe may be retired or semi-retired as of writing this comment, once said he played against Shane van Boening and that was the only time in his life that he felt absolutely hopeless. I believe he only got in one rack and Shane did the rest. Shane eats people alive on the table! Good game and cheers to Juus, but he and other players shouldn’t feel too defeated if they loose against a poor since 2007 with unmatched skill and talent.
A lot of these guys aren't used to the TV tables, either. With the new high-end felt and all the lighting that's warming up the area, it plays much differently than the outside tables and certainly tables at their local pub.
23:06, have seen this quite a bit where a cut shot with low left sends a ball to the corner rotating counterclockwise pops right out. Instead of just letting the cut itself put spin on the cue ball and using center English. The impact is going to impart some left or clockwise on the cue ball, meanwhile the object ball will have far less counterclockwise spin. Ideally that object ball hitting the wing of the pocket will have clockwise spin to drop in. Over use of spin in some shots I've found counter productive.
If shot to hard the object ball don't get the max of the English cause the cueball scoots , an the object ball gets the max English right before the pocket an then hits back off it riding the half ring back out onto the table .
The general idea is to hit it with outside spin, which actually makes the pocket play slightly bigger, as long as you hit the long rail first. Opting for counterclockwise spin is not something people use. I mean, he hit the point, and no amount of spin would enable that ball to go down.
Cheers to Juuso for a good match and the display of great sportsmanship at the end. Also Cheers to Shane for not taking a 5-rail ball in hand kick at any point during the match (cough Kaci cough).

after the break off juuso hit the pink but did not pot it even though it was not the correct ball to hit, and then had another shot on the blue yet still snookered himself…what rule is that?
The shot on the 4 ball was a push out. Players can push out after the break if they don’t have a shot on the lowest ball. The second shot you mentioned he played safe. Playing safe is not a rule it’s a tactic players use to not leave their opponent a shot.
If a player isn't happy with the layout of the balls after the breakshot they can elect to push out. Push out shots are legal no matter what. You can hit as many rails or balls in any order. No requirements on push out shot. After pushing out your opponent can either play the next shot or if they want to they can give the shot back to the one who pushed out forcing them to play their own push out shot.
As others have said, it was a push out. Normally the opponent (Shane) would come to the table and take a look at the shot and decide if he wanted to take the shot or give it back to the player who played the push out. In this case, Shane immediately and discreetly pointed back at Nuutinen and Nuutinen saw this and continued to play at the table.
A tip to the cameramen....stop replaying shots, unless they're spectacular. Viewers want to see the layout of the table; not replays of scratches and break shots. All the replays make the match very boring and unwatchable.

Juuso' fargo implies he's a better player than he displayed. Probably a little starstruck like many of us would be.
agreed, he just couldn't get his momentum rolling on that table with the legend sitting across the table. I'd be a bit beside myself as well.

@@chili015 In what ways does it play really differerent? Is just faster the main one?
@@csbro7045 typically the warmer they are the faster they run from what I understand.
Shane THE MAN
😉~Boening 真的很穩、很強,第一次看他的比賽,心裡就覺得與眾不同😀
Damn losing 8 games in a row. That’s tough but SVB is a legend

Hallo from Malang , Indonesia 🎉❤
Is it just me or does Juuso look like Valtteri Bottas without the mullet?
Where are the crowds 😢
Shane Van Boening looks tired this time but he still wins that's good 😊
And I shouldn't have looked at the comments until I finished
Is the background music not obnoxious?

his timing was horrible during that shot...
I'm guessing UKOpen has a genY muzak selector or would it be a Z? Must be torment for any old school players left

@@leoandsan why are people talking about "timing" Just to sound smart? the whole concept of timing is bullshit

Link to the Kaci shot? Was it a shot were it looked like he was going easy on the opponent or something?
Nuuinen is like a tweaker with the chalk.
Unbelievably annoying background music, if I can even call it music. Fortunately SVB probably has his hearing aids turned all the way down.

It's very bizarre

lose the background music. Very annoying.
And you guys wonder why the seats are empty? Snooze fest. Alternate break, alternate break.
