If you want to be super competitive, the mk2 mr2 chassis is not really competitive in the modern world, hense why I stopped building my mk2 and bought a mk3 for race competition but if you just want to have fun and all that the mk2 is perfect. Yes, for track make sure what ever engine you get, get a new OEM oil pump and have the oil gear cryo treated, and a brand new OEM water pump. For cooling the stock cooling system is way more than enough for pretty much any power level. Mine works so well I have a hard time even reaching operating temp when it's cold outside. have your stock radiator hot tanked and cleaned as well as all of your lines and water passages and it will be great. Upgrade to the 93 turbo front brakes. For suspension I recommend BC coilovers, whiteline front sway bar, 93 rear cross member for revised handling and less overseer and always remember if you're anything more than .5 inch lower than stock buy the roll center adjusters. And get the best tires you can afford. I've seen alot of mk2s crash due to tires that weren't up to the task.

Thank you bro!! We're in olympia but we are more active after April. Winter is build time for upgrades working on the new race car, forged engine ect and September is mr2 the beach, which is so much fun to see all the fellow mr2 owners.
Sounds good! We will be doing many events this year but my mk2 is getting retired in favor for a boosted mk3 for the new season. much more nimble for autox and time attack.
