Tipo Ana Carolina é a melhor cantora desde que apareceu p o grande público em 99,a música dela agrada muita gente que não é LGBTQ( que gosta de MPB e uma boa guitarra) e sinceramente acho meio que desnecessário ficar associando a capacidade vocal e o talento ÙNICO dela à sexualidade dela...tipo ela é maior q nichos específicos ,apenas isto!
Just a little information about the portuguese language: at 9:39 you pointed the "openness" of the 'eh' vowel, but in portuguese, the closed 'e' and the open 'e' are different sounds that can change the maning of a word or phrase, so it's very easy for brazilians to produce those different vowels.
Example: a closed 'e' simply means 'and' in portuguese, but a full open 'é' sound is the verb 'to be' conjugated to the third person.

I watched a live concert of her, and I can tell you, her voice is much heavier than it sounds in the video! She is absolutely unique and wonderful! The performance was in a large and crowded venue, but her voice reached all corners equally!

Brazilian Portuguese has a naturally lower pitch because of where the air is placed when you speak it. Due to that most Brazilian singers are altos or mezzos with great lower tones. The language itself helps, usually the voices get a higher pitch when speaking English, it’s the weirdest thing.
Soprano-like Brazilian singers for you to hear higher pitched voices in our Portuguese are Gal Costa (when she was younger), Marisa Monte and Nara Leão.

It makes no sense. Look how guys in Brazil speak with really high pitch (not me, but I've been told I 'm quite an excepcion 😂). French is much more prone to very low pitch.
"Hétero tops" have quite a "sissy" entonation. Try hearing more French guys, you'll notice how high we are in Brazil.

I could be wrong, because I haven't actually paid it special attention, but I belieeeve deep female singing voices are much more common among Portuguese speakers, especially with fado. It's so interesting how different languages and cultures affect, well, everything.

I was fortunate to discover her 8 years ago. Just one song - any song - and one gets hooked on her lush, contralto voice, perfect pitch and vibrati. Another great Brazilian voice is Monica Salmosa. Another great voice find is the namarada of Ana, Chiara Civello, an Italian with wonderful talent.
Mônica Salmaso is outstanding! Leila Pinheiro is another singer you might enjoy!
