Great first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊No trust me, you don't fully understand yet ... but you are absolutely right about her voice (just wait until you hear her singing live, she is even better) - she is the lead vocalist Su-metal and the whole concept of BABYMETAL was formed around her when they started in 2010 - she was 12 years old. "METALIZMIZUMIZUMU" - great song - Middle Eastern/Egyptian/Arabian (or similar) trance metal at its best.🤘🦊🤘They have about 60 songs now, each one different to the last. BABYMETAL are like nothing you will have seen or heard before. They are Su-metal (lead vocalist) and Moametal and, since April 1st this year, Momometal (backing vocals, harmonies but mainly in charge of dance, leading the audience, getting everybody involved and joining in). The third original member, Yuimetal, sadly left the band in October 2018 having been absent from the stage for the previous 12 months. She had ongoing (and undisclosed) health issues. Su and Moa continued as a duo for the next 4 or 5 years, supported by 3 dancers (the Avengers) dancing in the third spot (it was the same one, Momoko, from about February 2020 - they teased the reveal of a new third member in April - happily it was her, so she is all mic'd up and singing as well as dancing now). BABYMETAL started in 2010 as a sub-unit of a school themed J-Pop Idol group called Sakura Gakuin. As members of that group they would sing songs and dance, the sub-units (like after school clubs) would also have their own themed songs (tennis, cooking, science etc). BABYMETAL were the heavy music club and they were formed around Su-metal's extraordinary vocal talents and stage presence - she was still only 12 but their producer, Kei Kobayashi or Kobametal, had seen her a year or two before singing with her previous Jpop trio and was so impressed that he was inspired to create some sort of Metal-pop fusion if he could work with her and have her front the band. In 2013 Su would be 15 and would graduate from Sakura Gakuin (having the school theme it was for girls aged 10 to 15), but it was decided that BABYMETAL should be her vehicle as she furthered her career as a vocalist and should separate from the Idol group to go with her as an independent band in their own right. Despite starting with no financial backing and virtually no marketing and their agency expecting them to be a short lived and failed experiment (they could see absolutely no commercial value or future in the project and only allowed Kobametal his pet project because there was no financial risk while they were part of Sakura Gakuin), BABYMETAL found an audience that nobody believed would exist and have gone on to become one of the very best live bands on the planet (and have won international awards to prove that is not just my opinion). Their big arena shows are spectacular, but they put on great shows every time, even in smaller venues and festivals as they tour the world where they can't always have all the special effects and flames etc too. They are supported in live shows by the Kami Band - some of Japan's very best session musicians, each one of them a world class instrumentalist. They were phased in gradually from October 2012. As I said, BABYMETAL had started with little or no extra budget so they sang to a backing track at the start and when they started doing their own small shows guys in skeleton suits (Babybones) would pretend to play the instruments. The Kami Band played at a couple of festivals and the encores in some shows. The Legend 1997 concert (Su-metal's 16th birthday party - Yuimetal and Moametal were both 14) in December 2013, was the last big show where the Babybones appeared and the Kami Band played only the encores. The Kami Band became the full time support for all live shows at the start of 2014 and have been with BABYMETAL ever since - but only for live shows, they do not record the studio versions. They have songs in virtually every metal genre but will mix in other musical styles and genres with the metal. Some songs lean towards their pop roots others are just good hard metal and they do everything in between. Some songs are just fun, many are deep, most are positive - so if you don't like one song try another, the chances are you'll love it. For more reactions try 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' live at Sonisphere 2014 in the UK, the live Legend 1997 'Headbanger' that you can find on abr metal's channel, 'Catch Me If You Can' live at Budokan Black Night, 'Road of Resistance' live in Japan, 'Karate' (official video or live at Budokan 2021), 'Megitsune', 'Distortion' live at Download UK 2018 ... basically every song you can find - ideally live.

I got some DVBBS & Borgeous - Tsunami along with Seven Lions- After Dark vibes the first time i heard the snippets of this, but i wasn't expecting that solo guitar, we got the Western Kami Band performing this for the first time and it was awesome. This journey is fascinating and the metalverse is becoming a rollercoaster. Thanks for sharing this and see you next time!🦊🤘
This song barely scratches the surface of what Babymetal is capable of. Although they are a metal band at heart, their repertoire is extremely musically diverse, as they love to experiment and incorporate elements of other musical genres outside of metal, as you saw in this song with its incorporation of EDM and Middle Eastern elements. If you were blown away by this, you are in for a treat with the rest of their discography.
I think what you need to do is to get a ticket for a concert somewhere in late 2023 by BABYMETAL and see them LIVE. Don't even think about it! Feel it! That's what BABYMETAL is all about!😁
Great reaction and welcome to BABYMETAL, who have already been active for 13 years and are still in their mid-twenties. " The voice of a metal angel" has so far brought joy, excitement and tears to the world🤘🦊♪
when you get a chance go back and see how it began with the song "doki doki morning". the girls are so young, but so professional. it's no wonder they went on to conquer the world. lead singer su-metal was in another group before babymetal called karen girl's that had a big hit with the song "over the future". she's been singing almost from the day she could hold a microphone which is why she is so amazing. the dancers/backup singers yui-metal (who left babymetal in 2018) and moa-metal were big fans of suzuka in the karen girl's, and aspired to perform with her when they joined sakura gakuin,a japanese idol girl group formed by the amuse talent agency. the three were chosen by the "fox god" to become babymetal and the rest is history.
1.Megitsune music video (probably their best song all time, at least for older songs). 2. Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live 3. Road of resistance live in Japan 4. Pa pa ya live
Been accompanying you throughout your Nightwish reactions of whom I'm a massive fan. I was extremely happy to see you cover a Babymetal song - like Nightwish, they are not just a concert but an experience! I've seen them 3 times, the last one being a few months ago at Wembley as special guests of Sabaton. And I have tickets to see them in November too. I sincerely hope you do most of your Babymetal reactions here on UA-cam - I just want to see how much you will no doubt enjoy them!😊
Thank you, I enjoyed that reaction a lot! „Can I have more of that“ is not easy to respond to, though. Because the next BABYMETAL song you are going to listen to will sound completely different. There‘s so much variety in their music, it‘s hard to find two similar sounding songs. But unless you are exclusively invested into the Egyptian Electronic Metal sound, I‘m sure you‘ll find more that you‘ll like. The next one might have an Indian influence, or Hip Hop, or Ska, or Dubstep… and I like all of it, even though I wouldn‘t listen to some of these genres on their own. I‘m curious what you are going to pick.
This dude gets it. Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) center - aka The Angel of Song. Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) right side - aka The Angel of Love. She has BIG dimples... you can't miss them. Momometal (Momoko Okazaki) left side - aka The Angel of Joy. She was formerly a Babymetal Avenger (backup dancer) who got promoted to full member on Apr 1, 2023. And lastly - much Love to former member - Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) left side - aka The Angel of Dance. She retired due to undisclosed medical reason in Oct 2018. She had cute chubby cheeks. You will see her in a lot in older videos. All 4 of them are former members of a now ended JPop idol group called Sakura Gakuin. Babymetal started off as a sub-group of Sakura Gakuin in 2010. Babymetal became an independent act in 2013, following Nakamoto's departure from Sakura Gakuin. Members of Sakura Gakuin were between the ages of 10-15, making Babymetal with the average age of 14.6, to become youngest-ever female act to perform at the legendary Budokan arena. Fans of Babymetal are called, members of "The One" and welcome to The Fox Hole (rabbit hole) of Babymetal.
Nice reaction. Welcome to the foxhole. Funny you should say a voice of an angel. Moametal said when Su-metal sings it's like an angel came down. And Moa would know since she's an angel herself. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises. Like the very next song you hear by them will sound nothing like this. Except for Su-metals amazing voice. And her angels. Yuimetal Moametal and now Momometal. Yui left in 2018 due to health issues. Don't ask. No one knows the details. In Japan they keep their private lives very private. And since they grew up well-adjusted, I'd say the USA should think about being that private as well. On stage Babymetal is a force to be reconned with. Off stage sweetest humblest and most gracious ladies you'll ever meet. They're a magnet of opposite forces. And they know how to use it. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.
😂 Don't speak too soon, bro! When you think "That is Babymetal!!!", You will be surprised by the next song! I still can not define what is Babymetal! Poor me!😂
Just listened to your Gimme Chocolate reaction before this, great videos thank you. I see Sabaton on your wall, you might enjoy "BABYMETAL - Oh! MAJINAI Live at Budokan 2021 [SUBTITLED] [HQ]" Mixing scandanavian-folk with metal, featuring Joakim Broden. Babymetal often pick up music styles/genres from either locations they perform or groups they perform with and make something special out of it. This is one occasion. It is of course Babymetal insanity.
Welcome & Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I saw a face of a man who discovered BABYMETAL for the first time without any knowledge in advance. The same face with mine with jaw dropped on July 7, 2019. You have a lot to learn but it is worth doing it. BABYMETAL is the best musical phenomenon I have ever experienced in my 67-year-long life. (Before BM, I was a stubborn jazz / funk lover) We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
man, I'm a metalhead, the songs that I would recommend you the least would be the most pop-oriented ones. I leave only two recommendations that are BABYMETAL Death Legend 1997 and Divine Attack - Shingeki. I leave the recommendations to others, since I only went to hear the band this year and I simply became a fan! 🤘🦊❤️
Someone threw you in the Deep End Head First!! LoL!! Babymetal is pretty eclectic with their genre bending...Metal mixed with.....everything!! This one has that feel to it..others have a Latin feel, or Thrash mixed J-pop or EDM or Jazz or Reggae or or or....etc.. And I see your "Sabaton" picture behind you there...Babymetal just recently finised their Co-Headling European Tour with Sabaton!! You should react to "Oh! Majinai" ft. Joakim Brodén!! The Fox Hole is Deep my friend!! Enjoy!! More Babymetal Always!! Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
This is not the usual first song for a new fan going down the foxhole but this is one of my favorites, it isnt even the heaviest metal they do. They started when they were 12 and 10, what you saw is from their latest album and they are 23 and 25 now. Everything they do is that good, in fact babymetal is so good with live performances that is pretty much all you will find, live or official live videos because their music is meant to be performed live. Older songs when they are teens you will see 3 girls one of which stopped performing turning them into a duo with a backup dancer for a few years but they have a new 3rd member from last month. Just pic stuff, anything is good. there are many videos from the Legend 1997 performance which is actually just the year the lead singer was born and 1999(birth year of the other 2 singers), not the date of the concert. Another good set of videos come from black night or red night at the tokyo dome, some from wembley stadium and some festivals like Download and Glastonbury.
Ain't they the shit, bro? You're in for a wild ride going down this... FOXHOLE. Not a rabbit hole. Foxes are a huge part of their imagery and lore, so the fan base uses Foxhole instead😊. This is one of their most recent songs from their latest release, The Other One. A concept album by their definition. Why don't you try something from their first album, to see where they came from and how they sounded over 10 years ago. I suggest Headbanger from their Legend 1997 concert, or Ijime Dame Zettai Live at Sonisphere 2014. Then we'll go from there. Cause this is gonna be a long adventurous journey through the Babymetal Metalverse. Subscribing to follow your journey.
Getting goose bumps? That's the sensation you'd get travelling down the fix hole. Sit back, relax and do react to Divine Attack, by Babymetal as well next.
Dude… Welcome to BABYMETAL! 🤟🏻 You have no idea what treasures await you. Their back catalogue is huge and varied. They started when the girls were 14!! Here are a few highlights. Road if Resistance live in Japan. Headbanger! From Dusk till Dawn live 2021. Syncopation Live Enjoy the ride!! 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
Wow, Metalizm as your 1st BM song? That's nice!! Yeah, "that was Babymetal" indeed, but I'm sorry, you haven't "fully, fully" understood it yet... And her (Suzuka Nakamoto, a.k.a. SuMetal) voice? That's not an angel's voice. That's our *QUEEN'S* voice! (Who happens to sing like an angel ^^') Moa Kikuchi (MoaMetal) has an angelic voice, since she's the Angel of Love. React to Headbangerrrrr by them, and you'll see Su in full Queen mode. 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻
👍 👍 BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (Yui left in 2018 due to health reasons). Both Moa and Yui were 11 years old when the group began. All three were friends and classmates who attended an idol school/group (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life (they attended regular school as well) the girls would learn and train at vocals, dancing, public speaking and etiquette, etc., graduate at age 15 and then move onto whatever entertainment path they chose or that suited their talents. Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result. At first Amuse showed no interest and the girls had only financing from Kobayashi. They performed at strip malls and small venues using clothes borrowed from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues). Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia). If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to LIVE performance videos as this is where they shine. They have over 50 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more. Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.) Suggest reacting to these for a start. Their new album in my opinion that released March 24 is amazing with so many different styles. Good luck and hope to see you again.
"The voice of a metal angel". You will get no argument there. You will soon find that Babymetal has a very active and dedicated fanbase so I encourage you to do more reactions to them. They are also one of the most interesting bands you will ever find. You will get lots of info on them here in the comment section so you will find out what I mean by that.
Not a song I'm that mad on for various reasons (partly the official video feels almost as much a mess as Shanti Shanti to me) but anything BM is good - welcome to one of the best live bands I think I've ever seen 👍 - edit...ok it's better than I thought :P
I've got to subscribe to your channel because I want to see your reaction to KARATE, the official vídeo and live version and of course you MUST react to KAGEROU, DISTORTION, BRAND NEW DAY and why no... The Trilogy of Lights (Starlight, Shine and Arkadia). Let me know! 🇦🇷💕

I will never get tired of the first 20 seconds of your introduction to Babymetal. Couldn’t have been any more perfect.
Great reaction, thanks and welcome to BABYMETAL.
You are going to enjoy them so much. Just stay away from a very recent collab.

1.Megitsune music video (probably their best song all time, at least for older songs).
2. Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live
3. Road of resistance live in Japan
4. Pa pa ya live
Funny enough, they recently toured with Sabaton through Europe :)
Great reaction once again. One thing about Babymetal is they know how to put on a show back home in Japan, must be a great experience
We congratulate you on your upcoming adventure in the deep, deep foxhole!
From Japan🦊
You just opened up a whole new world my friend. There is nothing like going down the Fox Hole. You have seen nothing yet. 🤘🦊🤘

Love from India🇮🇳
Your understanding of Babymetal will change after most songs you'll listen to 🤘🦊🤘
😂 Don't speak too soon, bro!
MAJINAI Live at Budokan 2021 [SUBTITLED] [HQ]"
Mixing scandanavian-folk with metal, featuring Joakim Broden. Babymetal often pick up music styles/genres from either locations they perform or groups they perform with and make something special out of it. This is one occasion. It is of course Babymetal insanity.
i seen the goosebumps. Welcome to thee club.
You could try mirror mirror if you want
Has the perfect chorus for that angel you speak of
Welcome & Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I saw a face of a man who discovered BABYMETAL for the first time without any knowledge in advance. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz".

(Who happens to sing like an angel ^^')
Moa Kikuchi (MoaMetal) has an angelic voice, since she's the Angel of Love.
React to Headbangerrrrr by them, and you'll see Su in full Queen mode.
🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻
👍 👍
BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (Yui left in 2018 due to health reasons).
Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.)
Suggest reacting to these for a start.

At their concert in Yokohama on April 1 it was announced that a permanent third member Momoko Okazaki (who is also a graduate of Sakura Gakuin and has been appearing with them LIVE since 2019) has officially become the third member.
Their new album in my opinion that released March 24 is amazing with so many different styles.
Good luck and hope to see you again.
Babymetal not your average metal band, but love it ! Especially liev.
Добро пожаловать в Лисью нору) Headbanger top 3 song like me

"The voice of a metal angel". You will get no argument there. You will soon find that Babymetal has a very active and dedicated fanbase so I encourage you to do more reactions to them. They are also one of the most interesting bands you will ever find. You will get lots of info on them here in the comment section so you will find out what I mean by that.
Not a song I'm that mad on for various reasons (partly the official video feels almost as much a mess as Shanti Shanti to me) but anything BM is good - welcome to one of the best live bands I think I've ever seen 👍 - edit...ok it's better than I thought :P
