Glad to see you're back with this track from the new album, nice follow up to your first reaction to GC! to meet both era but my suggestion is still to stay on BM early era at least a couple of more songs to fully understand the evolution on this group.
This is another song with that typical wtf effect they get us used to it.
Our lovely queen SuMetal is narrating us a King's tale of the Metal Kingdom with this psytrance mixed with middle eastern, Arabian or whatever sound that looks so cool with the unique blend of BM.
This was at BabyMetal Begins - The Other One - Clear Night live at PIA Arena MM, Yokohama, last April 2nd with the already new official member MomoMetal, she was one of the avengers since 2019 and coming from the same roots in Sakura Gakuin just like the girls. The Western Kami Band was performing there but this MV got album studio sound so there's no particular credits for the instruments only the composer and lyrics.
Some fans at Sabaton's Europe Tour and recently at Asian and Australian Tour were enjoying this song live, but everyone is having a blast with the new singles and classic BM songs.
Next suggestion:
- Road Of Resistance live in Japan official (2015). If you got some issues try putting some filters.

Welcome back & Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。[FYI : This song was played in Leeds, UK on April 14 this year at First Direct Arena when BABYMETAL acted as special guest to Sabaton's Europe tour.] Now you realized BM's versatility. They are the best musical phenomenon I have ever experienced in my 67-year-long life. (Before BM, I was a stubborn jazz / funk lover) We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands (Lovebites is of them). They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄

Su smashed Bollywood metal with Shanti shanti shanti, had Sabaton dancing to her euro polka beat with Oh Majinai, and now she's got Arabian/Egyptian metal with Metalizm... this is my fave so far from the new album... This is like a darker sister of Shanti Shanti, love the way she does that yodeling thing with vocals, the choreo looks a lot like Shanti Shanti Shanti too.🤘🦊🤘

Arabian psytrance metal! 🤘
You hear "metarizumuzumuzumu" repeated a lot in two sections of the song where in the official lyrics the lines are represented each time by a single "METALIZM."
The katakana pronunciation of METALIZM is メタリズム/Metarizumu.
Metarizumuzumuzumu = メタリズム/Metarizumu (metal rhythm) + ズムズム/zumuzumu (thrumming (e.g., with excitement)).

GJ on the reaction. This song is a classic case of Babymetal doing whatever they want. All their songs are different and that is just the way it is. I hope they never lose that. I like that after 10 years they can still surprise even their biggest fans. Making music their way and still making it work. I found a way to describe it for you. That is AWESOME. That performance was fun. They are really in synch on this tour. Mostly. LOL. There's always going to be those moments on tour when things don't go as planned. Even though they are choreographed they have learned to go with the flow. Turned the wrong way. Oops just flip around on the next beat. Only keen-eyed fans with cameras can catch it. And there aren't any of those out there. LOL Babymetal a joy to watch an experience to behold. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises. Enjoy the journey.

There are so many experiences to be found, some I’d put on the list would be Headbanger, Syncopation, and BxMxC (heavy rap), but there are so many more. Syncopation and BxMxC are more recent, and live performances are best.

When they released the first singles off the new album, The Other ONE some said that they went on "safe mode". But then, they released the rest of the album and "METALIZM" happened to not be safe at all. On the contrary, it's different from everything else, even for BABYMETAL. Including a unique use of the harmonic minor scale (Phrygian dominant) to get a Middle Eastern flavor. Exquisite if I may.
I was lucky enough to experience this one live in concert a couple of months ago and the song kicks ass and the guitar work on the "solos" is so freaking amazing. Overall it's uncommon, and I love it.
We still don't have a proper live pro-shot for this song and this MV has the studio recording over the visuals from the Yokohama concert held on April 2nd 2023.
You will probably enjoy "Mirror Mirror" (another of their newer songs) even more.

Good reaction. "METALIZMIZUMIZUMU" - great song - Middle Eastern/Egyptian/Arabian (or similar) trance metal at its best.🤘🦊🤘Don't expect to hear another song quite like this (or quite like 'Gimme Chocolate') from them, they have about 60 songs now, each one different to the last.
Expect the unexpected, whatever they come up with in the next song you listen to (I'm sure you have a shedload of suggestions already) you will not be disappointed.
