If you're primarily a Sorcery build and want an easy win, walk directly away 5-6 steps from where Alecto will spawn in.
Turn around, drop Terra Magicka, use your unlimited mana flask, and hit her with Comet Azur when she spawns in.
Alecto will slowly walk towards you, not dodging Azur at all
My dude! Have to say you are absolutely killing it with this series, like you I’m on NG+ but the amount of stuff I managed to miss was just shocking. Alecto was the hardest boss in the game for me. I beat a majority of bosses on the first try… even Melania on my third try. I took 30 tries on this damn boss! Tried the cheese method and never got it to work. Just kept coming back stronger and stronger until I finally got good enough to attack, dodge, and parry
There is a known glitch involving the Turtles not appearing. The imp statue wont reset the turtles, even if you avoid resting at grace and fast travel there are times they simply will not appear.

Elden Bling Tip #1: The blue silver mail set (the armor the albunauric archers wear) has one of the lowest drop rates in the game. If you kill latenna when you meet her, she drops the full set. Her quest isn’t terribly difficult either so you can always do it during your next playthrough if you want to get a super rare armor set with decent stats early in the game. Otherwise, you’ll have to farm the individual pieces from the archers in the consecrated snowfields much later in the game or wait until the next playthrough to kill her.
Just wanted to say thanks for this series, Dom! I was getting close to the end of my first playthrough and felt like I had missed a good bit, and a quick UA-cam search later I found your videos. You've added many more hours of fun (and quite frankly some more stress lol) to my playthrough. I'll be following your NPC videos in NG+!
There's actually a glitch to get into this area without doing Rannis quest by dying on top of a rock amd sponning at a stake of Marica up there. It's weird. There's a video here on YT that shows how to do it.

@@thehylianloach9473 Millicent is a way better character than Ranni with a much cooler questline.
In my fight with the Black Blade, for those who have enough Dex to use the blood hound blade, you can time her dashes at you with the ash of war which hits her and gives you distance to get away from her jump attacks or projectiles. It takes a bit of trial and error, but it becomes like a beautiful anime dance number where she can just hopelessly jump and flail and you style on her with backflips until victory.
Dom I can't believe you missed Latenas quest line, it's such a good one since you get the ancient dragon somber smithing stone at the end. Jeez that's a mouth full. 😳

Thanks for the video. Worth noting that the tower puzzle on Moonlight Altar is one of the buggiest in the game. You actually missed the third turtle, which is one of the many bugs. Here's what I did to guarantee all the turtles spawn, which has worked for me multiple times:
- Rest at site of grace, pass time til nightfall
- Inspect the seal
- Inspect the imp statue
- Kill turtle 1 (see wiki for locations)
- Kill turtle 2
- Kill turtle 3
DO NOT rest, fast travel, or touch grace during this process

I liked that black knife evergaol fight. It felt kinda closer to a pvp compared to those giant dragons, or Astel. Not that i didnt like those fight, because i really do, i just found this super tough but still person sized enemy fun!
My routine has been that after I discover a new area and explore it thoroughly to view your video on it. See what I missed. I guess I qualify as being slow, cause I'm probably ~70% through the game. I'm getting there. More views coming Dom, when I finish the last ~30%. Thanks! :)

Been loving this videos I've platium the game and I'm so surprise when I am just exploring and still find things I missed .
I don't know why,but for me that red wolf at 6:30 took me to school. Like literally I had no issues with bosses in this area. Even the black knife assassin seemed easyish, but that wolf. Sheeeshhh

You can use the grace areas to get around faster while trying to murder the 3 turtles. The game will remember which ones you kill so warp back to the tower to reactivate the puzzle each time and travel to the next victim.
Lobo means wolf in Spanish. Lobos' last name is Villalobos. The wolf wasn't named after him lol he's named after a wolf.

Alecto took me SO MANY tries, even after learning the cheese. +10 Tiche is so worth it, though
Or you could simply hit the turtle in the sky with an arrow like I've always done 7:37
Also I'm not sure if the Tiche is the best tbh, as I've always found my mimic tear lasts longer which makes a great tank, especially on the Elden Beast. I've tested them both ten times each on that boss and the Tiche lasted until the Elden Beast was around half health. The Mimic tear would of killed it twice had I not dismissed it, but on average lasted until it was at 10% health. Could my build and level tbh but that is my experience so far
It’s simpler to just jump into it.
for my playthrough's moonlight altar tower puzzle, the third turtle wouldn't spawn. I had to re-read the seal and imp book, ride directly to the second turtle, do the jump, then ride directly to the third turtle and it was there.
I like how you keep saying how you relish the challenging fights but cheese every fight you possibly can.
In my personal playthrough I go through the game with as much challenge as possible but for the videos to prevent them dragging on, I find the quickest way to finish an enemy or these videos would be twice as long 🤣
@@DomsRoundtable That's fair. I watch a guy do a blind playthrough and he just spammed pre nerf bloodhound stomp against everything.

used misericorde paired with flame of the redmanes for alecta... wrecked her sh1t in no time... that combo is op af for almost all enemies, breaks their poise in two hits

Thanks Dom for producing and posting this. Alecto is not the only Evergaol (everjail) boss that glitches when one gets between them and their spawn point. For those having problems with Revenants, just like previous Souls games, they can be easily killed using the Heal incantation. 2 Heals will kill even a Royal Revenant.
I was at around level 120 (first playthrough) when I came up against Alecto yesterday, I am using bloodfang melee build with bloodflame. It took me around 10 tries to defeat her. The leaping whirl of death slashing attack with the death effect on her knife got me quite a few times before I got the rhythm of the fight to avoid it.
After defeating Adula I forgot to go rest at the site of grace to level up and tried to go around the left side of the 2 dragons to sneak by and one of them saw me and came at me and I fell off the side of the cliff and tried to catch myself on the cliff. I died when I hit a small outcrop and my runes were stuck on the side of the cliff and I tried falling to the same spot to retrieve them and I hit the outcrop and didn't get the prompt to retrieve them, slid off and died in shame having lost 130k runes :(
If any magic users are having trouble is Alecto i figured out a cheese for casters/int builds. You need rock sling spell which you probably will have at this point. Run to the rock where they do melee cheese and get as close to the far right where you'd position the boss close to the edge that you are about to fall off. the closer the better because she can and will hit you from the bottom. just lock onto her and cast tf out of rock sling and DONT STOP. whatever you do DONT STOP. ONLY stop to drink FP flask. you want to break her poise repeatedly so she doesn't try to attack you. And for some reason if she is close at the top and sometimes even on the bottom the middle/right rock in the rock sling spell will clip the rock your hiding in so yea all 3 can hit her. it's not 100% but even if 1 rock hits her it's still good. i Just ran to the spot and positioned. she will constantly try to kill you from the bottom hence why breaking her poise is important.

i am also kinda underleveled but with the black knife boss maybe use something with a lil reach and keep a tiny distance from her since her weapon is so tiny she can’t actually reach you when she’s doing her combo so i just back off back off back off (u don’t even need to roll, just walk backwards) and when she’s done with her combo i attack and since i use moonveil i don’t actually have to stick that close to her or run towards her. so i just repeat that until she’s dead yay
try to interrupt her when she’s using her red skill whatever that is lol
You can get those ancient smithing stones so early, in my new game plus I basically rushed it it was amazing. Killin it mate!

To get the angle right on the second turtle, try standing in the middle of the spirit spring and face Torrent in the direction of the tower you're trying to unlock before jumping.
Love your content. On Alecto I put her back to the edge and used Rejection to stagger her. She won't go passive like in the notch but her AI is way slower and easier to defeat, along with a decent stagger skill.
I did a different thing with the Alecto Evergaol fight.
I respected my stats from an int build to pure strength and a bit int, so could use the
Ruins Greatsword, and then I just spammed the weapon art. It's much easier and way less dangerous.
I can easily go back to my int build by simply respecing my stats again.
Downside to this method is, I needed to use some materials to upgrade the sword, I'll probably never use again. But it was worth it.
Just defeated alecto without cheesing.. so satisfying after an hour of battling hahaha

On version 1.00 with black knife tichy I did your method, but she missed a spinning attack on me and fell off edge she died and I got credit. Battle lasted like ten seconds hahahahaa! I was level 30 with beginner gear and the dragoncrest talisman.

I have left some messages in a few parkour type areas in mohgwyns palace. Even left some messages hinting at where they’re at. On Xbox
Alecto was pretty easy for me, and I didn't cheese her. I was using the Grafted Blade Greatsword +10. It took me fewer than 5 tries. I was about level 95. Same for Adula.
Missed dark moon sword along with red wolf defending somber smithing stones 8-7 also huge progress for rannis questline

Latenna is my favourite spirit ash. The closest thing this game gets to a feeling team work without multiplayer.

I think black knife tiche sucks. She never does any damage and like flicks then enemy then just dodges and dodges and dodges. It's so freaking annoying I dont even use it anymore
