Sid Vicious - bass, vocals
Steve Jones - guitar, vocals

In begining of this video, Johnny looks like his thinking "Did we forget to unplug Sid's bass?".
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 you’re sick
💀💀💀
God Save The Bass
You guys just stop already...he was the mascotte people went to see him not just the band...just saying
Avec Sid Vicious !!
They made it, man! ^^
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 true true 👏👏☻
@@SharonMessage we know, just joking
0:04 When rotten realizes that sids bass is louder than the gutar
I'm fuckin dead.
LMFAOOOOO
His face tho “oh shit”
Guitar was not working for a while
ahahahahahahahaha!!!
People are crapping on Sid, rightfully so, but this is probably the best he ever played it....some live recordings of him are a total train wreck.
"Sid was offered up as a sacrificial lamb by the people around the Pistols. None of them would have gone over the top. He was their kamikaze pilot, and they were all too happy to strap him and send him off." - Jah Wobble
@@LucindaRhiannon Oh ya, 100%. I read Steve Jones’ book and he claims part of the reason Glen Matlock was let go as he didn’t look the part.
He even manages the little run-ups during the "No future!" outro, shockingly enough.
@@davidsmith1898 All Malcolm McLaren. Punk wouldn't exist without his influence. But puck also would not have come crashing down so quickly without him. To him it was all look and shock, and money.
it's still crap
Johnny’s face was the greatest opening to any concert I think I have ever seen 😂🤣😂
When he realized Sid's bass sounded louder than the guitar lol
@@jhd4576 he surprise 🤣
I love the disturbed look Johnny has when he hears the bass
00:04 *at this moment he knew..THEY FORGOT TO UNPLUG THE BASS*😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
0:04 in Johnnys mind: "Fuckin hell Sid!”
Lol true
tbh the opening was some of his least sloppy playing in the whole song
U could tell sid was a fan of the ramones just by the way he holds his bass
hahahaha!!
Hey at least the drums work..
+Undercover Person so does the other stuff
+VOTE4JUSTICE Good concert, the sound guy fucked up is all.
Bass is fucked sid fucked it guitar is good vocals are good drums are good its just the bass man no offense to sid maybe it wasn't his day I just know this bass playing is shitty
@@BOBSAGET-sn8ex The guitar sounds were barely audible though
Sid literally hits random notes. Holy hell.
Not really. Just look at the bass tutorial it sounds close
yeah he sucks hard to believe he's the legend he is
@@josh4106 him sucking and looking the part could've been a gimmick.
@@josh4106 he was meant as only "eye candy" 😂
Я думал хуже будет.
1:53 i love that scream
So much power and emphasis. Agreed
punk never dies but the queen does
Nice
U R such a meany! 🤯
.......and so will you some day .
Jelly and ice cream
people kinda forget that this is what punk was. punk was made for people who couldn't really play an instrument or sing but as a bass player myself, sid was soooooo bad at it
DarkCerberus yeah me too. I cant play bass well, but when i heard sid played his bass, it was so fckn bad.
They should never have fired Matlock.
When I hear this, I just want to drink Beafeater Gin Martinis and vommit ...but in a good way.
Stupid comment
Dark Cerberus hell yeah
Johnny Rotten for President!
Notice how Steve switched guitars after this first song. He was having technical problems throughout the whole show. It's no wonder he calls it the worst show they ever did. And it's all on UA-cam for our enjoyment!
His guitars were banged around when they traveled and the weather change didn't help. They were coming out of tune, Atlanta it is really noticeable. They needed time to sit and proper set ups, but the show must go on.
yeah and that duct tape probably holding a faulty cable
@@sellmeyoursoul6601 When you barely had a pot to piss in, or a window to throw it out of, you went with what hopefully worked lol
I ve seen way way way way worse shows open for so called top billing bands that sucked bad! I saw 1349 and Goatwhore who were tough. But every band before them were beyond repair. I almost left but I had two buddies that I couldn’t leave. Then finally the bands we wen to see played. Well worth the wait.
On the one hand the bass is plugged in. On the other hand the bass is plugged in.
@@Phislammajamma4ever ?
@@nigelpisswater484 its a good thing and a bad thing that its plugged in bc sid genuinely couldnt play, nor did he care if he could
Love the way Johnny rolls his rrrrrrrrrs.
People bust on Sid but this was punk music - this is what made it what it was.
Exactly.
Love the way Jonny Rotten sings he’s cooooooooooooool .
YES. GOD BLESS THE BASS.
0:44 Lydon invented the machine gun
John Lydon is a fucking icon man
Another riff masterpiece from Jonesy
@Philip Holmes Nice! 🎸 Jamming with Jonesy with Pamela Des Barres dancing up front! 🤟
The whole point about punk was just to get started whether you can play or not. The whole point is to get started. Make it happen. Action equals experience equals opportunity.
I don't think punk was only about that, it's mostly about rebellion against social norms and the musical form and presentation reflects this.
I was at this concert. The crowd was very interesting. What a scene it was
sid could play bass he was just fucked up all the time
True, yes that was a sad case...he was so adorable.
Yep. Actually if you listen to the soundcheck from earlier this same day, Sid is actually playing fairly well then. Presumably before he shot up that day. Without Nancy & heroin, he might have lived long enough to become a legit musician.
Adam Ant offered to teach him as Adam had been a bassist for years in Bazooka Joe and was a pretty competent guitarist too. Anyway Sid wasn't happy so whilst Adam was sleeping on the floor of the squat Sid kicked him in the head.
I'd say "God Save Sid Vicious", but sadly it was too late
Long live The Sex Pistols, FOREVER!
Johnny, you're insanely, insanely, insanely, insanely, insanely, insanely INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your mad passion drives me insane! : )
Great to see the last show with Sid.
Bad Ass video! The way Johnny stares out into the audience, before his vocals, lets you know he is in control. And this will be a night to remember.
Sadly this is probably the best Sid ever played. Lol
At the beginning he looked so psychotic lol.
Johnny Rotten ALWAYS looked psychotic haha
Yea lol
That's his "You guys know exactly what we're going to play don't you?" face.
Being psychotic is part of his charm.
Johan Liebert That’s Talent Mmmmmmmmmhhhmmm loooooooooove the psychotic look Hahaha
Amazing to see every member of the band playing different tempo and basically different piece... and still it's positively amusing. Of course to listen 3 hours of this would be a different story.
wish there was more live videos of them
god save the punk rock
I bet the Queen would give Johnny Rotten a hug if they ever met.
Derek Leaberry actually they did meet. In a studio long ago they crossed paths. You can google it. I believe they had some mutually disrespectful words, but Queen got the upper hand.
No hugs
I think Derek meant the actual QofE, not Freddie.
Highly doubtful you must carefully listen to his words and how he sings them...don't he likes her or the throne one bit...hmm
@@Annasea666 Sid Vicious once met the singer Queen somewhere yes, but not the actual queen.
0:06 pls sid
RIP and long live Sid Vicious (May 10, 1957 - February 2, 1979), aged 21
You will always be remembered as a legend.
I love Sid and Johnny!
Forty years ago today...
My, how our world has changed
+Saunie Holloway 38 years ago last month...brush up on your math! lol.
+Tate Thompson Who cares this is punk.
Waoooo!!!!...Hace años que no escuchaba a los Pistols!!!, pero como mi país esta en cuarentena por el coronavirus, acá estoy!!!!
Sid playing bass live with the Pistols
and Paul Simonon playing
"Guns of Brixton" live with the clash.
Yeah, I know, we love them but DAMN!!!!
Don't forget the Damned, and Gen X, and Siouxsie. All COMPLETELY different types of music. Punk is NOT a sound. It's an attitude.
3 Weeks after Ivanhoes, Xmas day 1977, best concert ever. Gob everywhere.
I actually love this performance. Raw and honest. 💪
5/5/24 still listening to
greatest punk band and song ever!
'God save the queen, the fascist regime' ..... possibly the most powerful, and truthful, opening line to any song I've heard to date.
'God' bless Mr Lydon.
She ain't no human being
The communist regime now
best performance ever
Love you, John
Merci 😁👏
Johnny's face at the beginning😂
He could tell they were fucked.
They really needed to unplug sid's bass at this show
At most of the shows they did just that!
Seems as good of a time to revisit this one if ever there was…
I was at this concert. Steve Jones was a one man guitar army. One wicked riff after another. And Johnny Rotten was like a punk Dickensian character. The audience was pretty entertaining, too.
That’s great. Mind telling me more?
The Nuns and The Avengers were the opening acts. So-so performances. And the Pistols opened with God Save The Queen, which was surprising. But the best song was Anarchy In The U.K. Apocalyptic.
@@ronaldriis1023 god. I wish I went to one of those concerts. I was only 9 years old by the time they broke up.
I think Steve Jones says he was ill with flu at the time of this concert. Still delivers though
He's brilliant
Miss you in 2021 Sid. 🎶🙏🏼
We mean it MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!! 😤
It's ma'am. He's addressing the Queen

Good old Jonesy. Riff monster. My favorite part of the Sex Pistols.
uma das melhores bandas do mundo.

Isso é que é Punk Rock
Weird how this was the final show before the band ended
Sid was just riding out the wave at this point....their last gig..
Everyone says that vicious was bad at bass but think how drugged
up he probably was at all these shows
Only this one he was

sid isn’t even that bad, i mean it sounds like he’s playing it right
The video does not appear to be synced properly with the audio.
Ahora mismo estoy escuchando el CD ; " Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The" . Me pone como una " MOTO". 😄🤪🙋🇪🇦🎸👋
He's completelly craze !
To watch this LIVE!❤
👍
THE BEST
0:05 *looks over at sid*
"oh fuck"
hey ho! let's go!!
❤️
Johnny's stare specially at the beginning is due to a childhood spinal meningitis that left him in comas, with memory losses and headaches for a lot of years. It kind of scarred his nervous system, but it's effective as a prop for the punk scene (the Sid Vicious jokes are funny tho)
Yes his eyesight was affected by the meningitis. Saw PIL in Asbury Park NJ. He did that crazy stare directly at me for a moment and I'll never forget it!
great backing track for guitar
Sid is actually playing pretty well here
Honestly, probably the best he ever played. But it was BAD.
When the show begins, John looks like Harpo Marx ready for a final show of mischief.
This music is Special. This is truth to power. We hate lies.
Thousands ♥️'s for you
RIP Her Majesty
What a beautiful day. FCK Queen!
Burnin in hell
ADOREI A MUSICA DA RAINHA QUE VOCE FEZ
This is proof that Sid could play but why was his bass so loud though. Steve must've been pissed
I heard (I am not saying this is true) Malcolm was fucking with the soundboard.
Damnit Sid
God save the bass et l enfant sid !!!
I love Sid he was so talented!
sid had the def punk look but he sucked at the bass.
+flesh cork I dont see it that bad but it aint super great.
+flesh cork sounds fine to me who cares if its not perfect its PUNK by the way not prerecorded pop
pretty good considering he didn't know how to play at all
When sid joined the band he didn't even know how to play the bass lol
+flesh cork he looked the coolest and epitomized the punk image better than anyone, but yeah he couldn't play. lol. Although punk music wasn't about musicianship anyway.
It's ironic that Sid Vicious was the ultimate poser in a punk band
Jhonny rotten One of the smarts men on earld my respect but you still saying. God save the QUEEN so manny times she wins
Guitars are well down in mix
Watt n beschissener Bassist. Holy moly
Un genio sid vicious :(
Es sarcasmo? xD
+Danae garcia moena Por que?
Porque no se escucha su bajo :/
Still the same queen 👑👑
Je reste.fidele...🤟👍❤️
what's wrong here? Steve is almost inaudible, but one car hear Sid
Could've been recorded off of the mixing board at the venue rather than with room microphones - it could have been that Steve was using his stacks to be heard rather than the PA, Paul was letting the drums do the work of being heard, and Sid was running through the house along with vocal microphones. Just a theory, though.
OH FÁÁÁÁÁBIIOO ANDA CUMÊ RAPAZ
God save that guitar volume
Sids bass playing😂
Sometimes bands embody things that go beyond the actual notes they play. I mean, that is 1978, whatever it is and however it is played, it's historically relevant and influential
For those of you who saw them live with sid your r bloody fucking lucky chaps!!
Damm..
