It's a joke now. Short explanation modern tranny speed sensors are encased in the transmission, used to be on the differential tail shaft of the tranny. But U haul updates thier fleet actively moving to new generations. My sense of humor and knowledge of the pointless action of removing a fuse that won't work. If it was the old days 10 mm most time, find location, I do believe you have to pull the pan on the tranny and it has inside on this one thw chey same period was chevy is between the valve body. It cost more to disable then do that.
I would say hanging the fuel float to appear full would be the only real hack possible now, partially lower tank uncapped may not even need to disconnect lines lift use the pumps wire harness bread tie and hold float in the air
Or. You could just unplug the cluster everything We'll run perfectly you Won't know. How much gas you have or how fast you're going. But every time you park up, you can simply plug it back in and you can see your gas.😂😂😂😂 duhhhhh
This U-Haul hack as this little tag it says do not remove fuses removal of fuses will not disengage the odometer violators will be charged a minimum of $300 for tampering with equipment odometer tampering is a federal offense
@@GabrielMartinez-jt1uv I think you missed the sarcasm, as newer speed sensors are in the transmission drivetrain and can't simply be unplugged as they were in the past. It was humorous to me that uhaul is saying don't unplug the fuses... Well duh has nothing to do with the odometer that's in the ECU, controlled by the output speed sensor.
Ok i have found the solution but it can run from 200 to 300 dollars. Look up mileage blocker. Wire it in to the system and wont allow the ecu to update the odometer.
Or just unplug the odometer 😂😂😂😂😂duhhh You won't be able to see how fast you're going or see how much gas you have.But the vehicle will run just as normal every time you park up.Plug in check how much gas you have. Text less than five minutes to unplug the cluster
No unfortunately rental companies are federally banned from tracking rentals, however independent franchises and dealer equipped GPS systems are another story.

As someone who works at uhaul don't do this it will destroy the transmission. Then you get to wait 4 hours for roadside to come help
