Program Note:
Starlings are a type of small bird that take part in a phenomenon called murmuration, where many of them fly in a huge group. They swoop across the sky in seemingly random patterns, but they do it all together as a group which makes for a wonderous natural phenomenon. This piece is meant to depict these starlings as they dance across the sky in their beautiful, magical way.
​Dance of the Starlings can be performed by any size string ensemble from a chamber group to a full string orchestra.
