5:53 absolutely beautiful. Hearing it just fills me with a melancholy feel. It feels sad like a tragedy yet there’s still something holding everything together for hope. I think my quintet will definitely do this piece next semester. Hoping we can try this absolute masterpiece of a saxophone piece
This is beautiful, thank you for writing it. Too much modern Sax Quartet music focuses on technical difficulty at the cost of being listenable, and I'm pleased that this focuses on being good music above all.
You'd be missing quite a lot of harmony and some chords may sound off but you wouldn't loose any melody. Yes you could play it but I'd advise finding a second alto
