I’m just trying my luck 🍀 for a chance for my next interview i😊😊😅
Thank you for these links. Do you have any good pajama options for a trip like this?
I was very warm in the hotel in Brussels in December. Very little air flow. So I wore my pj shorts and black airplane outfit tee. Never wore my long sleeve pj shirt. LOVE these but I do not like buttons. I was shocked at how luxurious they were so I gave them to my mom: amzn.to/3vrZJi5 @@bethgray1972
Instead of a travel steamer, I just take the mister part of a spray bottle. The night before, I hang up my outfit for the next day, mist it with water, and the most of the wrinkles are gone the next day. It’s cheap and takes up almost no room.
Love this travel hack for wrinkles!
I find that rolling my clothes tightly not only helps things fit well in my Carry-on but also prevents/ reduces wrinkles. I haven't found that you've done a video on this method. Did I miss it?
If you are going to Italy, remember no bare shoulders or knees showing in churches or holy places (including the Pantheon, Sistine Chapel, Catacombs, Cappuchin Crypt). This applies to both women and men. Although it's not consistently enforced, I don't take shorts for this reason and make sure my dresses cover my knees. To cover the shoulders, I use a light shawl over sleeveless tops or dresses or wear ones with short sleeves. My husband wears black golf pants instead of jeans because they are lightweight, comfortable, breathable and quick drying and can be worn in fancier restaurants. For tops, he wears Cloud 94 tshirts and polos from Old Navy because they are light weight, breathable, roll up small and don't have logos on them (unlike a lot of athletic wear.) Both of us wear a money belt under our clothes to hold emergency cash, credit cards and passports. We don't access in public and carry a small amount of cash (for gelato, coffee) in our crossbody bags and use our phones whenever possible to pay for things.
When I was travelling in SE Asia, I always kept a lightweight sarong in my bag to turn into an instant skirt for temples, etc.
Great pointers-thank you
Smart hack!
This law has changed how I am packing for Italy this summer. I sent texts to all my family to let them know.
@@IrishAnnie I wouldn't call their rules in Italy for dress in churches and holy places "laws" but you may be denied entry or asked to leave if you come in with bare knees or bare shoulders. Some places will tell you to buy a paper coverup from a vendor outside but you can't always count finding one.. Men should not wear hats inside churches either. The last time I was in Rome at St. Peter's , they had a guard at the enterance removing the hats off men as they entered. Enforcement isn't always consistent for no knees or bare shoulders showing but IMHO, it's respectful to follow their rules.
I just had a lightbulb moment while watching your video. A little 5 second commercial popped up and I thought “hey I could cut a Mr Clean eraser in half and use it to clean scuff marks on my shoes after walking all day!” That’s the first time I’ve been happy with watching a commercial 😁😄🎉
Girl, your tips on packing are spot on!!! I took a 14-day European cruise and took only a carry-on and a small backpack. I still didn't wear everything I packed!
I would really have to plan if it was for 14. Whew but way to go
I always love your travel tips. One thing I do is wear more layers than I could possibly need on the plane. Once I am in my seat, I can take off all the things that are too warm for the flight, quickly wrap them in my scarf (pashmina in winter, silk the rest of the time - doubles as a wrap for cooler evenings) and use it as a pillow for the flight. Now that Travelsmith has gone out of business, my favourite pants to pack (except for winter) is LL Bean's Vista Camp Pants. They are very thin, but not that raspy loud 'travel cloth', take up virtually no space, and can wash in the sink and be dry by morning. Zippered pockets too!
Thanks! I will check them out. ❤
Yes I stated in another video that my joggers were not loud lol. Thanks!!
Which compression packing cubes do you like?
Hi Rebecca, they are the last of the links. They come in a set of 6 and you get 2 large. Bought them years ago with others, and their quality and price was the best: shoptripped.com/Laurie-Spring24-NatPark @@rebeccarinehart8998
TJMaxx and Costco carry great joggers similar to the ones you shared.
Currently in Norway. I live in the UK. Had only planned to take jeans but saw the weather forecast & threw in a pair of cropped trousers. So relieved I did. It's been hot!
So tricky to know for sure.
This is perfect timing! I’m chaperoning a high school group to German speaking countries this June, including my college bound son. This will be his first time overseas and I’m so excited!
Oh how fun! So happy for all.
For joggers I like Patagonia’s Happy Hike Studio pants. They have front pockets and a zippered back pocket. They are light enough for summer wear. During the winter I wear fleece leggings underneath them.
I like that they don’t wrinkle if I just roll them instead of folding them.
FIY, Patagonia sells used clothing as well through their worn wear website.
When I moved back to the East coast from California (after 27 years) I purchased my winter wardrobe used from worn wear.
Always love your packing advice’
Thank you for your time!!
Thank you so much for all your videos!!
Thanks for watching; I hope your creative juices are flowing so that you can pack all in a carry-on.
Great ideas
Thank you I have ordered shoes, and pants that you suggested. love your videos
I am a size 2X. So often clothing recommendations don’t work out for me. One of the brands that does work is the T by Talbots. It works well for traveling for all the seasons. I am about 5’6”. Large chest and bottom. Talbots and Lands End plus size fit me well and they will have some good sales. I am partial with fabrics so I am always on the hunt for good fabrics and a good fit.
Thanks for shopping Lands’ End! I worked there for over 35 years! Retired now….
So many great options out there.
I wear the same size and find Lane Bryant has alot of clothes that fit the recommendations in thos video.
@@tlfamily1 I haven’t tried their clothes before. I will check them out. Thanks for the recommendation. 😃Before menopause hit me like a MAC truck I was wearing a regular XL so I have stayed with the shops I wore before that have a plus size collection as well.
@@jkleist5911 around thirty years ago I worked at a restaurant that ordered our shirts from Lands End. When I was pregnant with my 1st when I ordered the backpack diaper bag. Game changer. I ordered a new one for my second child because a friend borrowed my first one and loved it so much I gave it to her. The second bag handle started to pull out and I called customer support to ask what was the best way to fix it. They sent me a new one with a return label for my ripped one. ❤️. Loyal customer ever since. 😃
I almost always pack a hoodie while traveling; This summer I’ll go for one of my sweaters 👍🏾
Love my Talbot’s tees❤️ I found them on of your travel tips videos. Thanks!
Yes I bought several recently
youre suggestions of outfits is exceptional. thank you so much I've purchased a hand full of items you suggested and am very pleased.
Love this!! Thank you!
So glad!
Great tips, as always for my April/May trip to a writing retreat in France!💃🏻
Oh my word, the creative juices will be flowing! Wow!
I found this travel outfit video very helpful. Thank you so much!

Couldn’t click fast enough! Love your videos and I’m going on European River Cruise in June! Can’t wait to see exactly what outfits you take!!!
I'm planning on these but will check the weather closer to the time.
Appreciate your travel tips. I think so much we learn for ourselves as we travel more.
Yes!!
Thank you for another great travel trip video, Laurie!! I am living on your videos as I prepare for our Italy trip which is in 3 weeks! Checking out your shoes and purse suggestions this weekend! Just downloaded the LTK app and we'll look at that this weekend as well. Thank you so much for everything you are offering to us it is appreciated!!🥰
I hope you have a comfortable and beautiful trip!! The weather there has been great!
THANK YOU FOR THIS TRAVEL TIP VIDEO!! it came just in time as I leave for a Europe trip next weekend!!
Ooh have a beautiful trip!
Hi Laurie! God Bless you, sister! I just love your casual chic style!
Thank you! You too!
Hi. Love your tips. I travel mainly in the Caribbean but your tips are still valid
Ooh how lovely!
I love your tips and I already have quite a few of the shoes and pants you recommended. I am going on a viking river cruise in a month so this video was very timely for me. Thank you for all your insights.
Wonderful!
Great tips. TFS
Thanks for watching!
I just bought the Wit and Wisdom pants - I am obsessed!!!
Now you see why I have about 5 of their jeans. The itty bitty boot cut is beautiful!
Ordered 2 pair of those shorts because of you…..LOVE THEM!!!❤️Appreciate your simplistic approach for travel outfits. Thank you
Glad you like them!
Laurie - I am going to Chile for 10 days, I can use all your tips. THank you so much for sharing your experience with us. So timely and so helpful. Love your channel, always watch it!
Ole! Have a great trip.
Hi Laurie…this was the perfect video since I will be leaving for my Viking tour in just over 3 weeks. I have been agonizing over what to bring clothes wise and with your tips I think I’m on a good trajectory for success. Thank you. 😊
Yes ideas help spur your own clothes in your closet and others you may want to add. Have a blast!
I love the Talbots long sleeve and 3/4 sleeve cotton shirts. I never leave home without at least 1 packed in my bag.
They are great for women aren't they?
Love the raincoat and plastic bag tip. May well be using it this summer.
I hope you have zero rain.
Thanks Laurie but Rain can be lovely especially when it brings out the scents of flowers.@@TravelTipsbyLaurie
Especially in Europe! Enjoy your vacation. It will be beautiful.@@amandajane8227
We just got back from 10 days in Barcelona. Cold morning, beautiful sunny afternoons and cold evenings. I tried, I really tried to pack carryon only but I couldn’t….and to be honest the extra items I packed I did not wear…but I had extra room to bring back a few new items of clothing. For the first time in my travel life I wore a jogging pants! It’s a beautiful pair and so comfortable….it’s put away and it’s now my travel outfit…another one of the many things I learned watching your videos.
TOTALLY okay if you do not pack in a carry-on. It is your vacation my fellow travel goer.
Wonderful tips as always Laurie! I completely agree about using the card slots in a travel bag, even if they are rfid protected, & use a small protected wallet as well. I only take 1 physical credit card WITHOUT foreign transaction fees & my debit card just in case I need some last-minute currency. I’ve found that most merchants in Europe that I’ve visited can accept smartphone digital wallet payments-it’s a beautiful thing!
Enjoy your River Cruise! I love “taking my hotel w/me” when I travel. 😉
And only unpacking once is so helpful!
I just returned from a wonderful tour of Italy, Switzerland and France. I wore my Ecco sneakers the whole time for walking. I love them, made the investment a couple of yesrs ago and well worth it!
❤❤❤❤ thanks 👍🏻
No problem!
Very nice video, thanks for sharing. In my case when I traveled to Europe I took 3 different color and type of pants (one used also for flying) and 7 tops( 3 solid different neutral colors,1 long sleeve white shirt,3 with patterns, but all matching colors), 2 covers (usually jackets, beige, black or neutral). With that I got 21 different outfits that you can play with a scarf or any hair accessories. 😊
Talbot's no iron perfect shirts are the real deal. I use a mister & hang up for wear the next day.
Woohoo! Yes, if that style is versatile too, pack it! Thanks for sharing.
Headed to London, Paris and Rome in early July. Would love more Europe summer tips.
Oh wow, it will be wonderful. Be prepared for no air flow and warm temps. The Sistine Chapel was not air conditioned and neither was the museum but that pre-shut down. What types of tips would be helpful for Europe summer tips? If you can give me some terms or questions, that would help.
Should you wear linen? To many wrinkles if don’t bring steamer? Types of hats to decrease “hat hair” , dealing with hair frizz, summer makeup
@@mariemartone12 My wide leg pants hardly wrinkle. They are mostly rayon. But they are long fyi. Love 100% silk for dealing with hair frizz.
Hi Laurie, I’ve followed you for several years and love your ideas. I wish I had them when I visited Italy 20 years ago!! I packed too many things. I am vacationing in our Class B van these days and the clothing storage space is similar to that of a carryon suitcase so, your ideas are helpful for this style travel as well. I am always trying to pare down my apparel and coordinate outfits so that I pack less. I did purchase some compression bags to organize my wardrobe. Thanks again. Safe travels!
Thanks so much; how do you organize your wardrobe? Do you have a color system or how? I would love to know.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Hi Laurie, I use a color system to organize my RV travel wardrobe in my limited space clothes cabinet. My spouse and I camp and hike on our excursions, so my basic colors for pants and shorts is black or navy blue. I wear black ,Navy, grey, or white athletic sweaters or jackets. When it comes to tops, I wear grey or white , add a pop of color with jewel tones like pink, teal, purple or a print. I choose fabrics that are wrinkle free and can be washed and dried overnight. I consider the climate/season of our destination; in spring and fall I pack short and long sleeve tops that can be layered. In the summer, I pack tank tops and short sleeve tops. I am prepared for rain with umbrellas, hooded rain jackets and hats. Snow and cold temperatures require boots, gloves and hats. I purchased the compression bags that you suggested to organize my wardrobe, this works great. I am able to hang jackets and place shoes in other areas of my van which is a luxury with van travel, but I still must be mindful of limited space and weight limits due to the fact that we also carry food, water, fuel, kitchen supplies, bath supplies, towels, camp tools, etc. We also carry empty backpacks which can be used on a hike or to pack a set of clothes if we must leave our van due to an unexpected breakdown. I am looking forward to more of your suggestions. Safe and happy travels in 2024.
@@vanananag7736 So smart. I guess what I am asking is how do the cubes help you organize? Like do you pack all tops in one, or do you pack first two outfits in one and the next 2 day's outfits in another cube? Does that make sense?
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Laurie, I will roll all sleeveless and shortsleeved tops and pack in one compression cube. In another, I will place bras, panties and socks (no more than 7, plan laundry day otherwise). In a larger cube, I pack shorts, long pants, workout pants. If I wear jeans, I leave them out of the cube. I pack my nightgown or pajamas in a separate cube. I organize this way to allow for a choice according to my activities for the day and the weather. I like to have a few extra options available. My husband essentially has a similar packing system. A friend of mine uses ziplock bags to organize her and her spouse’s underwear, shirts and socks. One bag for each of them for each day of the trip. He usually wears the same color T-shirt , underwear and socks daily. Works for him, not me. I understand that packing an entire outfit in one cube may decrease decision fatigue for some activities such as beach trip, dinner at a special restaurant, attending a play, but for our low key van travel, my system works for me. Hope this helps .
@@vanananag7736 Okay, yes, this is how I do it mostly. I really appreciate your time and that others can see it as well.
Great video- I am off to Europe in 3 weeks for an extended period of time. The more I watch your videos which are great the more I realise I don’t need to pack that much - if I need something I can always buy it! Less is more. Thank you so much for your tips. I was going to pack my puffer jacket for spring but now I am thinking I will just take a rain jacket that is windproof. Don’t want to be lugging around a puffer even though it is light.
Remember that if you really feel you need a certain pace of extra clothing you can always get something from a charity store and use it then return.
So smart. Experience is a great teacher.
@@amandajane8227 yes I did this a few years ago when I went from Egypt (hot) to Uk (cool) just got a jacket in UK for the duration .
Really like your dress sense. At 5’3” it’s hard to find pants that fit without being too long. Those cashmere jumpers look perfect for travel. 👏
Great video, Laurie ❤ I learned something today. Southwest in Miami Airport, considers a neck pillow and small blanket additional bags. I'm sure you have said this before in one of your videos, but I didn't listen 😂
Yes I had heard this. Not fair.
There is a good brand of shoe inserts called Currex. I think they are more designed for running shoes, but I interchange them between my normal walking shoes and my running shoes. They are great for those of us with little to no arches. I wore them in my New Balance and Addidas shoes all through NYC. They aren’t cheap, but they are so worth it and pay you back with blister-less feet.
Have enjoyed your videos and absorbed so much information! Heading on a 12 day trip covering Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Alesund (Norway). Norway is my biggest issue as we are visiting friends. They will want to go hiking and to fancy dinners. Hiking boots are an issue for packing, not to mention very warm clothing!
Whew the shoes take up so much space. Could you wear the boots in the airplane.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Thanks for the reply. I think wearing my hiking boots on the plane. They will be a bear to get on and off as I am going thru security. I wish I didn't have to pack the extra clothes/gear for this one activity.
Why not ship the boots to your friends' home? Could be expensive but maybe not as bad as you think....worth looking into and not have to wear hiking boots on the plane.
@@Signs9that’s a thought …I guess I could buy some there….or more likely “I’m sorry, I’m unprepared for a hike.” 😂
I just can't imagine trying to pack (or wear) hiking boots unless I really wanted to go hiking! Packing to travel is such a pain today. @@kimforman3332
As an American who lived in Europe for years, know that the weather changes at the drop of a hat. Always be prepared, and dress accordingly, and, have a portable umbrella with you at all times. American tourists are easily recognized in Europe because they wear their sunglasses on top of their heads. Funny but true. Also, they're very loud. Thankfully, I lived there long enough to learn what not to do!
An update on traveling with meds. On 03/08/2024, USA Today issued a travelers report. The TSA, both domestic and foreign, have started confiscating meds. The TSA has now said all meds must be kept in their original, marked containers. Our meds are not even guaranteed in carry-on's.
I strongly recommend reading this article/report. I've commented on this before; however, this is the first time seeing an actual report/warning in a newspaper. My guess is they're looking for controlled substances, to be sure they're legally prescribed, though the article doesn't specify this.
Thanks so much! Yes let's nix the loud American stereotype by speaking in normal tones and being respectful. Def check the weather.
The US State Dept website contains rules by country of what meds (including over the counter) cannot be brought into each country
Love river cruises. Uniworld has washers and dryers on the ships and makes all the difference in packing. Now I just need to figure out how cold it will be. In fact, watched you while I am starting to get what I need ready.
Yay!!
I have the pink level 8 bag but it gets dirty pretty easy, but love it! I also non rev since I am an Alaska Retiree. We are headed to Scotland and Ireland for 18 days!
Oh how much fun!!! I want to go there.
I have found that a continuous spray water bottle works just as well as Downy spray, with the fine spray.
Uniqlo light puffers come with a bag you stuff it in which is perfect for travel in my opinion!
Oh yes I had one once.
Laurie 🌺, you’ve been instrumental in helping for my first ever Europe trip. I ditched my suitcase and got this Level 8 carry on per your suggestion. I tend to be an overpacker but am taking your suggestions to heart? I am confident I can do it. Thanks to you. From LIZ in California.

Ordered a Level 8 carryon from Amazon Big Spring sale…got $20 off regular price. We are going to Europe next month. Thanks for the tips
Yay!!!
I have a tiny umbrella and take a ziplock bag with me. The ziplock bag helps contain a wet umbrella when you are inside/ on the bus, etc.
That is such a great thing to pack.
I bought the Ecco shoes you had recommended, but even though I do not have fat toes, there was no wiggle room for me to lift my toes up and down in the toe box. I had to send them back~ the search continues!
It’s worth the search to find shoes you love. They really are an investment of time and money😂
Next time i head to the USA i know to go to Walmart to get that cute pink tshirt
Hi Laurie, thank you for your awesome videos! Do the Ecco shoes run true to size? I am wanting to purchase a pair for our next vacation!
They have except for a few from this winter-the ballet flats ones were large. I bought 7 pairs after January from all brands and returned so many.
I cracked up laughing over your last tip. I admit, we often can kind of pick out the Americans, but at least for me, couldn't care less. If sports shorts float your boat... do it!!! Living in the USA now, I've fallen in love with wearing sports clothes ALL DAY! So comfy! 🤣❤
Woohoo, I love wearing athletic shorts here in the Europe. They do not care either.
I ordered those stripped pants from Amazon per your recommendation. I ordered up one size, and they fit great! Thanks for this recommendation, as it is hard for me to find pants that fit!❤
Aren’t they the best?! So comfortable and great fabric!
Hello my dear friend I'm Wilson from Brazil Rio de janeiro ❤❤❤❤
I recently discovered your channel and have been bing watching your videos. I am going to Poland this September and this will be my first flight in 25 years and so many things have changed with flying and I am grateful for all your tips. One thing I haven't seen is packing medication that needs to be kept cold. Do you have any recommendations for insulated medication bags. I am diabetic and since my trip will be 10 days I plan to take extra insulin that will need to be kept cold. Would appreciate your suggestion and thank you for all your tips.
Hi Elaine. I would pack it in a soft sided cooler or lunchbox-like for a kid. Ice packs for medical reasons are allowed solid or mushy form. You'll have no problem. Here are two videos that may help: bit.ly/HowToTSALine and this new one: bit.ly/PackMedicineTips
Great tips. I’m going to Europe for the last 2 weeks of May. Bought a neutral pair of shoes per your suggestion. Question do you ever wear zip off pants or am I outdated?
I’m going to try the loft joggers! It says they run big? And yes to monochromatic with a nice scarf.
I think they have always been tts.
This is great info, I’m just not sure how many of each items you would recommend for 14 days in Rome and Florence late May for a carryon. Thx!
I love the AB Solutions pants! There are so many great packable rain jackets out there. Wouldn't you pack a swimsuit or warmer coat? I suppose it depends on the part of Europe you're visiting.
I find ligh layers work better than bringing a big coat. Specially in summer and spring. I have a hooded raincoat that is also a windbreaker. With a few layers underneath my jacket I can stay pretty warm.
True-there would be a swimsuit. And yes, you can use that same hack with a winter coat as well.
What brand? Where is the link? Thanks
❤❤❤❤❤
Good morning. I bought the 14 inch Lovevook bag to fit under the seat on a flight with Air France. I am nervous. Do you think that it will be small enough? Thank you for all of your information. I love your videos.
Hi, I would check their rules but a 14" one easily would fit under any seat in my opinion.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Thank you so very much. I checked the airline’s site. I feel better after your response. Happy travels. 😃
I love the shirt you’re wearing, please can you tell me where you got it??
Hi, it is in the first comment and the paragraph below this video. Blue blouse.
Your tips have been very helpful.
Why do you pack with carry on only? I can understand if it's a quick weekend trip?
I know some airlines allow one checked bag, and I also understand that people don't like to wait around...
Because she travels stand-by.
Hi, since we mostly fly standby, if we delayed the flight because they had to find our bags from the belly of the airplane since there were no seats for us, we would get in major trouble.
How do you keep up with your laundry when you’re on the move? Do you take fabrics that can dry overnight or have you found a way to dry clothes quickly?
Hi Becky. I will rewear outfits and will wash a couple of shirts if needed early on in the trip with Tide sink packets. Hope that helps. Yes to thin clothing. Merino wool is great for summer too I have heard.
What is the model # of the Wit and Wisdom elastic waist jeans? Thank you Grace
Ooh not sure, but they are linked as the gray pants in the first comment and in the paragraph below.
Very helpful. I don’t want to look totally American in Europe but I’m sue they’ll spot me a mile away! 😂
We really do.
The wide-leg pants are so cute on you! Unfortunately, they always look like pajama pants on me. I need to experiment more with them because they look so comfortable and put together (on you anyway)!
The smell of Downy wrinkle spray gives me a migraine so I can't use it. I have an unscented one called Real Simple that works great, but I don't think it's available anymore. Cold Iron also has an unscented spray with some pretty good reviews. It will be next for me to try when mine runs out.
Ooh thanks for your recs. Can you do candles? I usually cannot so there must be something in the D spray too.
I can't have candles either. Even unlit they give me a migraine. We live in an unscented house.@@TravelTipsbyLaurie
I just made a candle with a friend and hers was soy something; we melted it and everything. And I DO NOT get a headache. I've been sooooo happy. I even put it on my desk. @@tonyamiller3336
That is so amazing! I will have to check out soy candles. Thank you!@@TravelTipsbyLaurie
Laurie - question about cashmere. I read that it does not have to be washed after every wearing. Do you find that to be true? They say 3-4 wearings (on skin, not over a shirt) and then wash. What do you think?
I would believe it if a true cashmere. I wear mine over shirts when traveling. For short spurts at home I wear it by itself. But I take mine to the cleaners. Do not get them from M⭐️cys because theirs were super itchy.
What brand of handbags did you show? Thanks
Hi, everything is linked in the first pinned comment and below every video in the paragraph.
Can you recommend the best backpack for carry on travel. Please
Hi, I do in this video: bit.ly/BestPersonalItemBags
Love the linen striped pants, but the pocket stripes don’t Mach and that would drive me nuts.
Ha! I love that type of thing. But that's what I love about fashion-we're all different. They make tons of them. I'm sure Chicos or Talbots has some this year. My striped ones from last year were Talbots.
I just re-watched the video and agree with you. the placement of the stripe on that pocket is very poor.
How do we find them?
Please link the raincoat 😊
Hi, it's at the bottom of the list of links by the umbrella one.
I always carry an empty small spray bottle with me. I fill it with hot water when I get to my destination, spritz the wrinkles and hand press the wrinkles out
That’s smart!!!
I wear my jeans and long sleeve tops and either jacket or sweater on the plane. It saves luggage space. But this way I have them with me. I do NOT like rainy and cool days with shorts/capris. LOL
So true!
I love your travel tips. I so wish that Ecco shoes worked for me, but after buying and returning several different styles, I have determined that they just don’t work for my feet. They are so cute, but those blush sneakers sit too low on the back of my heel.
Yes, when you find a good pair, you will love it. Have you tried DSW? People love Dansko here.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie I do like DSW, and sometimes I can find shoes there. I recently bought a pair of hoka running shoes that you featured in a video and they are super comfortable. Just not as stylish looking as those Eccos., lol.
What brand are the linen striped pants?
Hi, they are linked just below the video in the paragraph and in the pinned first comment. I do not remember.
What Voltage Converter do you use?
Hi! I have now bought a dual wattage curling iron so only took adapters last week. Here is the converter: bit.ly/3BF7l0X
if you're coming to the UK, expect rain🤣🤣
What river cruise are you going on?
Avalon!
Could you please recommend some wide shoes and sandals?
Hi I do not know of any.
I've had good luck with Orthofeet for wide shoes, including sandals
I know this is a very niche request but do you have any tips, tricks, recommendation or anything at all for a month long business training trip? I might have to fly to Colorado for training on this new job and they said the training is a month long. I do not know the specifics yet, like airline or if i have to pay for a check in bag or anything at all. But i do want to keep it simple and have just a carry on, is that even possible? I am very anxious specially because i dont know any specifics of it yet.
To anyone curious, it is a federal job and i am just in the process of background check and all that jazz before i begin training.
Hmmm I would google things to do there and find out how to get your laundry done?
I am curious if the wide leg pants stretch and get baggy after wearing them for awhile?
Hi, they have not. I love them and probably could have done size Medium. I'm size 10ish.
Great tips! Do you ever travel for visits to museums, cathedrals and dinners in upscale restaurants? What do you include for elevating the look somewhat?
I always bring a large light weight scarf. You can use it as a cover up for the places that require more modest outfits. Not that I need that I stay pretty covered up from the sun. I also will bring a smaller scarf to wear and dress up an outfit for more formal occasions. With all the weight restrictions on luggage a large and a smaller scarf can be your best friends while traveling.
A thin silk scarf or two are perfect for elevating any outfit, and take up virtually no space in your bag. Look on UA-cam, there are thousands of videos showing all sorts of clever ways to tie silk scarves. Note: you will NOT get the same effect with "silk-like" polyester scarves, it's worth paying a bit more to get genuine silk.
I would use monochromatic anything. In the winter it's easier to just dress monochromatic and add a string of pearls. Maybe a dress?
While I truly love and appreciate your videos, as they are very smart and well thought out, I can’t go for buying clothing from most of the places linked. It’s all made in China. I try very hard to make thoughtful purchases.
Yes, use my ideas for patterns and colors and versatility when planning travel outfits.
What brand is your raincoat?
Hi, it's linked in the paragraph under the video and in the first pinned comment.
Thanks,I found it and just received mine. I ❤️it!
I’m wondering if anyone has ever done this- I think I may have solved a tiny problem with my packing. I take a couple of purses on trips. But I always squish them and pack them flat. I am going to pack my (non-liquids) makeup and other essentials in those purses instead of a whole separate makeup bag.
I’ll find out next month how this will work out on our trip to San Antonio. 🤩😎
Someone told me that idea years ago. LOVE it! Enjoy some tex-mex food!
That sounds like a great idea. You can wear the purse during an outing and place the makeup in a plastic ziplock bag at your hotel . I have several colorful Coach brand tote bags that I pack in luggage and then interchange them to change the look of my outfit, carry a picnic lunch, beach or pool attire. I can wear my cross body bag or place it in the tote if I desire. It’s nice to have options if you have the packing space .
What River cruise are you doing? My husband and I want to go on one.
Avalon. Hope it’s superb
Going on our 2nd AMA WATERWAYS river cruise this year-they’re #1 in our book!
Thanks for sharing. I'll check that out. @@cherylandersen7353
Oh man, we could not do their dates but wanted to. @@cherylandersen7353
Do you mind telling your height? Im looking at the striped pants, but I'm 5'2" and 130 lbs and wonder if they may be out of proportion even if hemmed. Thanks! Enjoy your videos so much.
Oh yes, they are 32" haha. I am 5'8" and had them hemmed. I saw some today (maybe Anabress) that were reviewed as short if that helps.
Where are the blue and striped pants listed for sale?
Hi Jan, they are in the pinned first comment and in the description box paragraph under each video: amzn.to/4adbVCv
