That's a no on the jumpsuits. I don't wear them for the same reason I don't wear one piece bathing suits, they are just too much work to basically strip down to go to the bathroom. I can't imagine doing it in an airplane bathroom.
I travelled 40 weeks a year when I was working and I travel about 10 weeks a year now that I am retired..and I always always wear JEANS on a plane..so many jeans are made with a stretch that are so comfortable…
I love all your outfit inspo but one caveat I have implemented personally is that all pants have to have an elasticized ankle (joggers or similiar) because I am so grossed out if my pants touch the floor of a public restroom. 🥴Tapered or slim straight seems to be okay too.
I totally agree on the jump suit thing - I love them. I did have a sticky situation just today in a public bathroom though, and am wearing a jumpsuit 😂
So excited for this! One thing I do well is pack. I’ve been in the airline industry for 20 years so for me fitting everything in a carryon is key. Excited to see some new travel outfits. Just say no to pajamas and slippers on a plane though. Also, ladies skip the jumpsuits on flights because the lavatory is very small and very dirty and when you are trying to get out of it in the lav, your jumpsuit will be cleaning the walls! Ugh! Unfortunately I know from experience!
Um, I might have to disagree with the no slippers. I’ve seen people go barefoot - yes BAREFOOT - into an airplane bathroom. While wearing slippers on a plane is somewhat tacky, I’d rather see that when walking into a bathroom than nothing on the feet. I flew 17 hours to New Zealand in February and I did wear slippers while in my seat. Keeping shoes on my feet for that long was not going to work for me, since they swell while in the air.
I’ve seen multiple people go in the lav barefoot!!! It’s disgusting! I always warn them and 90% don’t think twice about it! Ughhhh it’s like the person I saw walk to the back galley to trim his toe nails 🤦♀️so gross!
I sometimes wear a jumpsuit on short flights when I won’t need to use the washroom. When I do use the washroom I sort of tuck/roll the top into the bottom part as I slip it down and it doesn’t touch anything around me. I would suggest practising this at home first to see if it will work for you. Also, I travel with ballet flats and slip them off and on easily if needed.
I have a pair of Issey Miyake wide leg pants that I love and wear often. I use a mitten clip to attach the bottom to the waist so the edges stay safely above bathroom floors whenever needed. Airplane bathrooms especially!
Perfect combo of comfort and style. It proves you don't have to be in PJs to be comfortable. :) One other travel tip I do for flying is take along a very foldable pair of ballet flats in my personal bag. I usually am wearing my bulkiest shoes/boots to get on the plane, but for long flights, switch them out for the flats that then do double-duty as slippers in the hotel room and can potentially use them for regular outfits too. I find them more adaptable than stand alone slippers or flip flops. Love your travel videos!
I LOVE Cashmere!! I just purchased another wrap during the N sale, I probably have 6 or 7 now. I too get cold easily, it might be hot outside, but everywhere you go is overly air-conditioned! Cashmere is just the perfect staple for all year round, even in Ft. Worth Texas heat😊❤
Your travel outfits are my everyday outfits! They are all so pretty. You would look good in a burlap sack! You inspire me to try a little bit harder each day. It really does help.❤
I don’t do jumpsuit at all 2 piece sets does the same thing pretty much as for jumpsuit I just do not like them I find jumpsuits are difficult for bathroom situations but each to their own love 2piece sets and now that I’m older I got to have pockets for everything if no pockets I pass it by ty 4 sharing this video great inspiring ways to travel 👍🏽❤️
Great vid- focused and helpful! A little different perspective here. I go to the hospital's infusion center weekly. Unless it is a really bad day, I feel better putting on something a little nicer, even if it's one thing-- it helps! Your suggestions will be good!
I'm definitely in the no jeans for traveling camp, but to be honest, I'm not a big fan of jeans. I live in the Deep South, and it is just too hot for jeans nine months out of the year. I do plan on getting that first outfit for a trip to the beach in October.
I absolutely love how practical and real you are!!!! The bit i can’t figure is how you prevent a jumpsuit dropping to a probably filthy floor in a public toilet. Otherwise the one you recommended looks fab on you. Also maybe not the most flattering on shorter people like me (5.2), but not all clothes look good on all people. Enjoy your warm weather. It’s slightly on the freezing side for the last day in June in the Northwest of England!🥲🥲🥲
I like ALL of your suggestions except the very popular Amazon tan outfit with black detail. Mostly because I’m 4’11” and would look silly in it. All of the others are great! We frequently drive to my oldest daughters house and it’s a 5 hour drive. We make stops to potty and get coffee and I like to look decent. I’m fine with jeans and jumpsuits in the car. I just don’t want to wear anything that’s too tight! 😊
OMG, I love you!!! I’m prepping for a trip to NYC and came across your video. This absolutely pulled together all of my Pinterest research. So happy I found you…and I’m from SA too!
I love the travel outfits videos! Just came in last night from a trip and heading to Scandinavia in next month. I bought the jumpsuit and LOVE IT!! It's absolutely perfect for travel and is easy to dress up or wear casual. I'm 5'3" and curvy, and the medium was perfect.
I really like your looks. I also own the jeans from Chico’s I love them they are so comfortable. Actually own a few of the outfits you’ve shown they look good and are also very comfortable.
I was surprised but I really like the first spanx outfit you shared. I’ve only purchased their leggings and undergarments in the past. I may have to try that though. Very sharp yet still casual. Thanks for the video, Robin
I had two adorable outfits that I absolutely love ❤️. I purchased the first travel set and the black one piece outfit! I’m thinking of purchasing the knit blazer too ❤️. Thank you so much for all the travel looks 😎
I love the cashmere wrap and camel was the color I ordered too. I also got the too cute pearl ball necklace. Both 30% off. I know for sure the wrap will be cuddled up in a ton. Trips to Egypt, Half Moon Bay CA, Brooklyn, and Sarasota between now and Thanksgiving. My cozy buddy will be will me every fluctuating weather step of the way. Thanks for that suggestion Marnie! 🥂
Hilarious! I laughed hard when you ‘called-out’ the (rebel) fabrics that wrinkle: linen, cotton and poplin, by name. Way to go, you totally embarrassed them!
I just found a ribbed knit set at my family dollar store with the half zip I got the top and pants for$10.00 each . But I will have too hem the pants cause I'm 4' 11-3/4" but on the upside I can the cutoff as a headband. And I bought a black ribbed knit dress at Wal-Mart's. All the new pieces will match with what already have.

I bought the sleeveless sweater set several months ago and, although great material and cute for the price, I have yet to figure out how to wear it. Starting with the sleeveless sweater, that name alone should have clued me in. Thick sweater = cold weather. Sleeveless = warm weather. I either burn up or freeze in it! The only way I can use it is as a sweater vest over something else. The pants? Super thick and bulky for packing. I could never travel with them unless I could wear them on the plane going and coming. Any other ideas for wearing these two items would be wonderful because they do look expensive and well made.
Good video. Traveling on monday and tuesday. Monday it just 2 hours in a shuttle from my house to Toronto. Will just be jeans and a shirt. And a packable parka. Then going south to the Caribbean for 6 weeks. It will be middle of winter when we return so definitely need my packable parka. I wanted to wear the lululemon wide leg align pants with pockets and now im rethinking it. The sweatsuit you wore reminds me of my lazy pants swearsuit. Its so soft, doesnt wrinkle but i might die when i get off the plane...decisions decisions
I can’t find the black jumpsuit in my size but I’d love to have something like this for my Paris trip in April. Can you suggest something comparable? Thank you
Hi Marnie - very excited to subscribe today to your UA-cam channel and learn lots more - learned about you today on Get Organized HQ and loved your video 10 Things You're Doing to Ruin Your Outfit!! Thank you!! 🙂
I ordered the Amazon knit striped trim set in black with white trim, long sleeve to Paris and received compliments from Parisians in my hotel. Looks great and comfortable. Was told it looked very "Chanel."
Marnie do you know or have link to the slides you had on with the Athleta pants? Love this video and have several items in my various shopping baskets!
I purchased the Tanming two-piece (in apricot, 5'-7" in small) and love it. Getting the brown set next. Ready to pull the trigger on the jumpsuit. As you said, in my case, nothing different than wearing a one-piece bathing suit and going to the restroom (far more than just butt naked) with kids looking under the door to find their mom!!! Great ideas. It's hot here in NM also.
I'm a very light packer as I spent so many years traveling for work and of course carrying my own stuff. I loved some of the outfits although I will have to wait for fall.....do we even have fall here in Texas?
The knit set from Amazon black trim/cream set....is so beautiful but the pants are long on me and I rarely wear heels. It says on the care tag do not dry in dryer, have you dried yours I wonder if they'll shrink length wise???? Thanks
AWESOME VIDEO, Marnie! I can’t stand the “Canadian Tuxedo” look; I love the blazer you showed, but we only had 4 cold days in S. FL last year. I used to wear blazers all the time in the 1990s in undergrad in Cincinnati, Oh.
There are plenty of creators in that age range on UA-cam who can help you with that. I can only offer advice based on my personal knowledge, and as I am “just” turning 51 this weekend, I have some years to go.
Travel these days is neither elegant nor easy. I always choose pants and a top that don’t crease or show dirt or stains when you drop a piece of your plane dinner on yourself.
I wonder if it would help behavior on planes, if people dresses up nicely for travel. I even wonder if airlines should have dress codes. They might be afraid they’d lose passengers but I wonder. They might actually gain them.
I can’t travel in AZ wearing this it’s so hot in cars I feel it’s hotter 🥵 college girl in TN hot humid there also & it’s about not over heating lol or my usaf son in CA I like the first option but for sure a tank top - winters in CA I still travel cooler I like to be not sweating ever lol 😂

That's a no on the jumpsuits. I don't wear them for the same reason I don't wear one piece bathing suits, they are just too much work to basically strip down to go to the bathroom. I can't imagine doing it in an airplane bathroom.
I agree especially for travel. Any other time fine but travel. Absolutely not
I agree! Jumpsuit on a plane is a huge no no!
Right. Two- pieces- suits in same colour do look like them. But more comfortable.
Totally agree!
agree!
I travelled 40 weeks a year when I was working and I travel about 10 weeks a year now that I am retired..and I always always wear JEANS on a plane..so many jeans are made with a stretch that are so comfortable…
As a former flight Attendant I would not recommend wide leg pants while traveling as they will always droop on dirty washroom floors.
Great ideas for travel! I get grumpy when my clothes feel less than comfy, but I still like to look polished when out and about!
So true!
I love those Athleta cargo pants. They are very comfortable. I have them in blue and tan and wear them all the time to work. Definitely a winner.
I love that you include affordable options
I love all your outfit inspo but one caveat I have implemented personally is that all pants have to have an elasticized ankle (joggers or similiar) because I am so grossed out if my pants touch the floor of a public restroom. 🥴Tapered or slim straight seems to be okay too.
You don’t know how much I needed this… though not traveling far at all
These are just great everyday outfits too!
That’s a very good point on airplane bathrooms, but even pulling down pants could get tricky in there. Maybe a maxi dress is a better option then?
Um, I might have to disagree with the no slippers. I’ve seen people go barefoot - yes BAREFOOT - into an airplane bathroom. I'm going to have to say no to slippers in the bathroom unless they have a hard sole. YUCK!
I’ve seen multiple people go in the lav barefoot!!! It’s disgusting! I always warn them and 90% don’t think twice about it! Ughhhh it’s like the person I saw walk to the back galley to trim his toe nails 🤦♀️so gross!

Cashmere is the absolute best piece of clothing. Lightweight and very warm. I get mine on Black Friday.
Perfect timing for this video! I am planning a trip to Italy in the fall and a HUGE part of the fun is planning my travel outfits!
Have fun!

That's a great perspective-sometimes we have to fake it on the outside until it forces our inner side to match!
Beautiful selections and you have the perfect body to showcase the outfits
Love Chicos white jeans. And their blouses fit me perfectly. Good list.
Thanks so much!
I just returned from a trip to Europe. I wore wide legged jeans and a cotton/wool crew neck sweater with a sweater blazer. Very comfortable.
I love the fawn colored Spanx pieces.
The cashmere scarf/wrap is great idea!
I love it!
I'm definitely in the no jeans for traveling camp, but to be honest, I'm not a big fan of jeans. I live in the Deep South, and it is just too hot for jeans nine months out of the year. I do plan on getting that first outfit for a trip to the beach in October.

Right?!
What brand is the trouser jeans?
Just went out and bought the top you are wearing in video. It was in stock at my local Walmart...Love it! Thanks so much!
Wonderful!
Per your suggestion, I purchased the Utility Jacket from Maurice’s in the Spring. I love it! Looking forward to wearing it again this Fall.
Good choice!
I love my Spanx! 😊

I really loved this haul. Great for us moms who are around kids alot too! Thank you :)

I love the travelers line! I just wore a travelers jump suit for my sisters wedding, it was the most comfortable thing I’ve ever worn for a wedding!

Most people do Not recommend jumpsuits for plane travel because of the dirty restroom floor especially on long flights!!!!
Absolutely love your videos.
Thanks so much!
Can’t wait to see the cashmere wrap on you
Our Sams Club has some really nice utility jackets, currently.
I travel frequently on long haul flights and my air essentials jumpsuit is always my go to
You always have great ideas! Thanx, Marnie!
Have a great trip!!
Thanks for all the Lewis! I can't make myself buy the Spanx pants because of the no pocket thing.
I can’t find the black jumpsuit in my size but I’d love to have something like this for my Paris trip in April. Can you suggest something comparable? Thank you
Good stuff.
As always!
Thanks
Hi Marnie - very excited to subscribe today to your UA-cam channel and learn lots more - learned about you today on Get Organized HQ and loved your video 10 Things You're Doing to Ruin Your Outfit!! Thank you!! 🙂
Welcome aboard! I’m so glad you’re here!!
I ordered the Amazon knit striped trim set in black with white trim, long sleeve to Paris and received compliments from Parisians in my hotel. Looks great and comfortable. Was told it looked very "Chanel."
Fantastic!
Pausing because I just realized I'm not following you on IG! 😲 Fixed that!
Thank you so much for the follow!
You're the best! Love this content!!
Wow, thanks!
I like jumpsuits for travel too. It’s like a dress but PANTS with pockets.
New to your content, enjoy your recommendations, you look lovely in them all 👍
Welcome!! Glad you’re here!
Marnie do you know or have link to the slides you had on with the Athleta pants? Love this video and have several items in my various shopping baskets!
Did you get the jeans in the regular or petite? I love to travel in jeans and I’ve been struggling to find a good Trouser Jean.
Regular!
Taos is still about 20-25 degrees cooler during the day than here!
@@MsGoldgirl True, the mountains are much cooler, but I'm in Albuquerque. Love your show and ideas.
Love the trouser jeans… but I think I still want to wear a really nice sweatsuit…for travel…
You should! Just giving you some options!
I'm a very light packer as I spent so many years traveling for work and of course carrying my own stuff. I loved some of the outfits although I will have to wait for fall.....do we even have fall here in Texas?
We do for about a week in November!
helpful advice thank you
Glad it was helpful!
my beautiful queen❤😘
Love the ideas!! Have you lost weight? How???
Eating smaller and healthier portions. It's not rocket science, but it isn't as easy as it sounds!
I am 5'4". What are your thoughts on chunky sneakers both for the style and functionality? I will be walking a lot.
I am fine with them if they’re not a short, rounded toe. Otherwise it looks like I have Frankenstein feet.
@@MsGoldgirl got it. Thank you for taking the time to reply to me. ♥️
The knit set from Amazon black trim/cream set....is so beautiful but the pants are long on me and I rarely wear heels. It says on the care tag do not dry in dryer, have you dried yours I wonder if they'll shrink length wise???? Thanks
I didn't throw them in the dryer so they haven't shrunk.
Some of us are not size six. Can you add alternatives for making a similar outfit
Yes-buy the same outfits in your size-they come in a wide range of sizes!
AWESOME VIDEO, Marnie! I can’t stand the “Canadian Tuxedo” look; I love the blazer you showed, but we only had 4 cold days in S. FL last year. I used to wear blazers all the time in the 1990s in undergrad in Cincinnati, Oh.
Hi Marnie, did you purchase the petite length of the Chico’s traveler jeans? Thx!
I didn't! I got the regular.
Outfit #1, Amazon sleeveless sweater set, is it 100% cotton? Thx!
No, I don't believe it is. I think it is partly wool.
I have it. No, top is 78 wool and 22 acrylic. Pants are 80 cotton and 20 polyester.
Too good 👌👌👌
Thanks a lot 😊
Is the sleeveless sweater set actually cotton? There is a similar set on Amazon made of rayon …😢
My taste is the cashmere wrap.
I would love see some advice for 60+and 70+ women
There are plenty of creators in that age range on UA-cam who can help you with that. I can only offer advice based on my personal knowledge, and as I am “just” turning 51 this weekend, I have some years to go.
Are you long waisted or long legs? I’m 5’4 too. But not sure if the spans pants would be too short
I'm about average-maybe my legs are a little longer.
Not sure where to find the details on ordering, brands etc
I ordered the 1st set you showed. Sadly, I waited a long time for it and never received it so I had to cancel my order.
Oh no!
Some influencers call these pieces capsule wardrobes. I like call them Garanimals for Grownups”🤣
Love that!
I feel the same way about jumpsuits. If someone is peeping while I’m peeing they’re gonna see stuff I don’t want them to see anyways 🤷🏻♀️
Yes!!
Travel these days is neither elegant nor easy. I always choose pants and a top that don’t crease or show dirt or stains when you drop a piece of your plane dinner on yourself.
Oh Chicos travel when on sale
I wonder if it would help behavior on planes, if people dresses up nicely for travel. I even wonder if airlines should have dress codes. They might be afraid they’d lose passengers but I wonder. They might actually gain them.
What bra are you wearing with the jumpsuit? I purchased the jumpsuit, love it, but I don’t have a bra (36 DD) chest.
I’m just wearing my everyday bra. 6/7 days this is what I’m wearing: rstyle.me/+rOncE9CrV82lTLUI7pphXw
I always bring a jacket or sweater for traveling. My husband freezes me in the car🥶
Oh no! Why do they do that to us?!
Just found the location for the information but want to save this video
I can’t travel in AZ wearing this it’s so hot in cars I feel it’s hotter 🥵 college girl in TN hot humid there also & it’s about not over heating lol or my usaf son in CA I like the first option but for sure a tank top - winters in CA I still travel cooler I like to be not sweating ever lol 😂
I like all. I don’t travel whit Levi’s I think is not controversial
