I appreciate all of your hard work putting together these videos. You are a wealth of information. My favorite travel shoes are Dansko and Taos. I also need arch support and a rigid soul. I envy the ladies who can choose fashionable shoes for vacations.
I also need arch support in my shoes, if not I will be in excruciating pain by mid day. I will look up your shoe recommendation. Thank you for sharing.
Love Taos!
Yes some of the ones I suggested are great for all day wear. Thanks for sharing yours.
@@ElizabethLopez-ve6lq Awesome!
LOVE DANSKO!
I like Keen’s and Merrell’s. I always carry moleskin with me, especially when wearing shoes or sandals for the first time of the season. It’s wonderful to prevent or walk with blisters. It was recommended to my daughter when she was in boot camp in the army. I’ve used it ever since! Love your videos, Laurie! ❤
Yes, loved the new Merrell I showed in this video.
Yes! My daughter too, begged me to send her a large amount of moleskin while at boot camp a few years back, they said it was a lifesaver.
Vessie shoes are waterproof sneakers sold on line they work well for rainy destinations. Company based out of Vancouver BC in Canada. I love these shoes for travel.
Thank you, great tip/ everyones
I'm traveling to Maui and so far my Vionic sandals are on my packing list. I want to try some of the ones you suggested especially the peach pool/beach sandals.
Yes do! And do not miss this video: bit.ly/NotForgetPackHawaii
Thanks for all the info. I do not find the Vionic shoes comfortable-I don't have much of an arch and they hurt after an hour or so.
We recently, walked many miles on vacation in Europe. I wore the pull on, Ecco Chelsea water repellent boot. It was wonderful! I watched many of your videos before we went. We had a wonderful time and no problems due to many of your tips. Thank you.
I am so glad!
Love your input (and hairstyle)!!! I wore my Eccos around Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and historic New Bedford last fall when visiting my nephew. I'm glad you mentioned a few Wal-Mart brands because they really have some comfortable options, I own three different summer styles and am shocked (in a good way) at the comfort/quality. Best tip I can share with anyone is to not buy your vaca shoes last minute before your trip, you need time to break in any price point of footwear......wear them indoors while doing all of your house chores (dreaming of your fun adventure/vaca)
True! Great practice and wearing them in work.
Thanks for all your hard work and tips
One important thing to check is that the sole of the shoe you have worn before has not worn down. Check to see that there is still good tread left on them. You don't want to slip on the airport floors or on cobblestone streets. Cobble stone is hard on the shoes and so is Marble. My poor husband was slipping while walking in Italy on the wet marble flooring. The last thing you want to do is fall ! Check on new shoes that the tread is strong. Some of the cheaper shoes have a very thin soles that wear down quickly and become slippery.
Oh yikes!
Love all your videos tips & tricks & fashion! I love the Addidas Cloud Pure running shoe and the 2.0 they are so comfy as well!
Laurie, thanks for this post. You helped me finalize my spring/summer shoe shopping list.
Yes, wear them while cleaning or something so you can see if really supportive for a trip.
This video has a great selection of travel shoes from well-known brands like Ecco and Skechers, as well as affordable options from Walmart and Amazon. Great options to choose from. Thanks for sharing this, Laurie!
I went and bought the shirt you are wearing as it is so cute. Planning to take it on a Mediterranean cruise. Thanks to all your tips I am planning to pack in a carry on bag. Wish me luck!!!
Thanks love the videos
Glad you like them!
Thanks Laurie, brilliant as usual❤
Glad you enjoyed it! What type of shoes do you pack?
Always enjoy your videos.
Thank you!
Hi Laurie, Aullie (& Nathan) Your recommendations are spot on ! Wearing my Ecco on travel days & so thankful, as we had our first "set up" in the rain. Have my Merrell hiking boots, Blondo leather boots & Ecco on this trip for inclement weather. Have my FloJo's, Dr. Scholl & Blowfish for casual. BTW I always carry moleskin on any trip, just in case for blisters. So many cute outfits and choices in this video! Nanna Wanda, currently in Oklahoma on the way to Hot Springs
Hi Laurie!
Thank you for all your tips; I’ve used many of them. I like Hoka sneakers(they are clunky looking but very comfortable), I have La Canadienne boots that are great.
I’m going to look out for those Ecco boots for an autumn trip to Europe!
I just love the Ecco brand for travel (and every day)
Thanks for the advice
Any time
Thanks for all the tips Laurie! My new favorite travel shoes come from Crocs- they have adorable sandals now that are so comfortable I’m taking two pair to Italy in May🇮🇹❤️
I LOVE their flip flops! SO comfortable and they last forever. If the get dirty, I put them in the dishwasher!
Laurie, I don’t travel much, but you are a bright light to watch 🫶😃
Your timing is perfect! For the last few days I have been looking into comfortable travel shoes with an eye on the Ecco brand you always talk about and Sorel. I want waterproof and slip ons to make that airport experience easy. It’s hard to get everything I want in my size, but thank you for your ideas and research. It helps so much!
Glad it was helpful! And being able to return for free if the wrong size is helpful.
I purchased a similar pair of Echo shoes. Mine are suede. I love them! Thank you for the recommendation!
I could wear them every day!
Thank you, Laurie, for a list to save when I am in the market for more travel shoes! ❤
You are a real jewel! Such helpful information and recommendations on all travel accessories and apparel. So appreciated…plus you’re just delightful. TaTa ❤️
Thanks Kathryn. Hope this list of shoes will help.
I like the shoe brands Cliffs by White Mountain and earth ORIGINS. They are very comfortable and supportive to me. Good arch support and soft, cushiony insoles/ heels
And that top you are wearing in the video is soooooo cute I went and ordered one.
Totally agree with your opinion regarding Sketchers! Love ECCO and recently I've been happy with TAOS sneakers. Also, love the RYKA Hydro Sport sneaker for excursions.
Oh yes I meant to try Ryka.
Laurie, I am so thankful for your recommendations! I got both types of socks you recommend - the no show from Amazon and the sneaker socks from Walmart and they are both as good as you said! I am always so excited to find something that works and doesn't break the bank! 😊
Please link the socks? TY!
Shoes are so important when traveling. I don’t usually take sandals for walking as I want my feet enclosed for safety purposes. I do take them for a cute dress dress up in the summer. I love seeing your precious dog in your videos. He is soooo adorable. Thanks for all your tips!
Yes if in an industrial area, sandals can be tricky. Hope you found some versatile options.
Good suggestions. Sketchers seem to work best for me, at this point. Love the gingham sandals. Like the Merrill too. Hi Aulie. Pretty dog.
Thank you! The Skechers are not supportive enough for me to tour all day but I have not tried their arch ones but once and returned that pair. Ahhh Europe again!
Thank you for the tips!👏🏻👏🏻
Any time!
I took your advice on the Merrel’s and Ecco. Brilliant!!! My Mom just introduced me to Spenco brand sandals. They are very supportive. Love your videos. Thanks so much. ❤
Thanks for sharing.
Love ❤️ your travel shoe collection . I’m inspired to buy the Ecco sneakers for my travel to Europe next month.. it’s gonna be replacing the Skechers arch sneakers that I had originally planned on wearing for all the walking excursions we’re gonna be doing there. I like it coz it looks stylish plus you mentioned the comfort factor so I’m gonna try it out. Thanks for sharing
Hi and so exciting! Yes, you need comfort when you are walking all day on vacation. Have fun
First, I do not travel in severe winter or hot summer seasons. That makes packing simpler as I don't need both slope or beach and street wear. Second, I wear black jeans (never blue so they can cross over to a business-casual look even in a high-end hotel) and I coordinate everything else around black.
I have a hard and fast rule about shoes. I take two black, leather pairs. One is a leather ankle boot which looks amazing with pants or a skirt. The other is a sneaker-style shoe. Both are always well broken-in--sometimes for many years--and comfortable. I use a pair of socks which I keep in a zip lock bag as slippers. The only exception is for those times that I have a single destination for several months and will also travel with a checked bag.
With 3 bottoms and 8 tops (including a jacket which I wear in flight along with the other bulky items like a sweater and down vest) I can easily limit my luggage to a single 20 or 21-inch carry-on bag. Since mine are as comfortable as any light shoes I wear the boots in flight. I never wear open toed anything as I want my feet well-protected should I have to exit the craft in an emergency. I prefer boots with a bit of a platform to be a bit above any pooling water and provide an extra cushion against the pavement. Then I choose a smart sneaker-style that does not look like a running shoe. I never choose a pair with a white strip around the sole as that cuffs too easily.
I would also like to recommend a few higher-end brands that outlast some of the others mentioned. A Santana Cossack-style boot I bought in 2001 is still going strong. So are the Pikolinos I've had since 2017 and the Josef Seibel sneakers I bought the same year. Those have logged many, many miles/kilometers. Cared for properly, they still look as new.
Thank you for all your ideas. I walked all over Europe for a month in my Teva Sandals and my Allbirds Wool Sneakers. Both were great no blisters great support.
Thanks for the Allbirds Wool Sneakers reco!
Thanks!
I just LOVE your travel tips!!! I've bought several travel items based off of your fun & practical reviews. I just purchased the ECCO water-resistant sneakers for an upcoming Boston trip (I hope they fit well before the trip)! I really wanted the Soft 7 zip bootie, but that seems to be a winner for many folks because my size isn't available anywhere, anytime soon. Happy Travels!
Yes another color is at Dillards but they’re a couple years old.
Cute choices ❤ I just ordered the cute peach 🍑 beach/pool shoes. Just waiting for the weather to warm up.
They are so good Stephanie!
I bought a pair of Keen sandals in Utah because I forgot my hiking Merrill shoes at home and they were very comfortable! The best part is I bought them in a kid size because I have small feet. They were absolutely perfect! I am taking them to Hawaii next month! Love your videos Laurie! 😊
Ooh travel hack! Yes Merrell are so comfortable and supportive for travel.
Your pedi is good. Toes look actually pretty!
I love love love my Ecco sneakers! I have a pair in about all of the colors I love them so much. They have held up fantastically and have great support. I can walk all day in them. They also can be dressed up or down easily. My favorite are the dark blue/blackish ones.
Yay, great minds think alike. Do you have the matte ones I talked about?
Just got my Reef pool shoes after you recommended. Love them! I live at the beach and hate throwing sand all way up back of my legs in my flip flops. The pool shoes are cute and comfy. Looking forward to wearing with sundresses this summer.
I am so glad Linda! They are really supportive for the beach or pool too.
Such great info, especially noting which ones were supportive. You just can’t beat Ecco’s for support…I have 4 pair, 2 lace up and 2 slip ons like the styles you showed. I can absolutely walk all day in them, and they last awhile! My good ole Birkenstock’s are my other favorites. Anxious to check out some of your other recommendations!
I am debating getting some white ones.
I bought the silver Ecco sneakers last year on your recommendation. They are so comfortable, plus I get SO many compliments on them!
They are a great neutral shoe, which means you can pack less.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie I plan on taking them to Italy in June!
Thank you Laurie for your travel shoe tips! Just ordered the brown and gold velcro sandal :) I hope they work!
I hope so too! I love my Merrell sandals!
Thank you Laurie. I love your tips. My favourites for walking long days are my Merrell sandals and my BZees slip-ons. They’re the most comfortable, light and supportive shoes. The added bonus is that they’re even machine washable!
Oh nice! Are they the same as my Merrell ones I showed?
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie no, I own the Terran Sandal from Merrell. Those are the ones that hug your big toe! As for the Beezees, I have the Glee Slip on. Super breathable and machine washable.
I have worn Ecco brand for travel for 25 years-they are the best! Thanks for all your suggestions
I think they are the best for travel too.
Blondo and Blundstone boots are excellent waterproof boot choices. I love Birkenstocks and Chacos for warm climates. I’ve never bought Eccos, but you keep showing those cute metallic sneakers and I want them. 🤣
Yes I should've shown my Blondo boots; they just sell out so fast! They did have a sneaker boot I did not find comfy.
I have big feet that are prone to swelling. I resisted for years because, ew... but last year, I finally tried Crocs. I now own several different pair. Luckily, I don't really need to dress up or impress anyone. I bring my black and white Sketchers for an alternative. But, I did 29,000 steps in one day at Disney and know I wouldn't have survived in any other shoes. They're perfect for slipping on and off at the airport and dry quickly if they get wet.
I might try a couple of the shoes you suggested, they're pretty cute and I like trying new ones - ya never know what you'll end up liking it you don't try it. I so appreciate your honest reviews, telling us the pros and cons and giving us ideas. Thanks!
Just came back from Europe. Wore All birds tree dasher 2 out and about and wore All birds tree dasher relay. Both worked great. This was a new brand for me. Very comfortable.
Thanks for sharing and so exciting that you got to go!
I can walk around cities in Europe all day in. my Keen sandals. The fact that your toes are protected yet the sandal is breathable, supportive and waterproof make them my essential shoe. They are also my go to for going to the beach. I wear these 1 day and my running shoes the next day.
That's great!
Thank you for your extensive list. I have narrow feet and need excellent arch supports. I find Ecco, both the sneaker lace up, and beach Teva type sandal to be fantastic regarding support and comfort. Merrill produces shoes/clogs with excellent comfort and support.
I did buy waterproof La Canadienne boots and Mephisto boots on sale, both which are extremely comfortable, supportive, and durable. I always read the reviews before I buy regarding comfort and support.
I am glad it helps.
Just found your videos. They are so helpful. First trip to Hawaii coming up.
Oh yay! Do not miss my what not to forget to pack for Hawaii video and have fun!
Your channel is excellent! I flew for 35 years for a major US carrier. I know how to pack, but I love to learn a new trick. Your shopping is right on! I can attest to the Ecco shoes. I I always need certain items like the coin purse, and that back pack is a dream! Good job. Oh yes, and I loved your
“ask the pilot’ section. He is a great sport to come on your channel and answer questions. Everone loves to ask the pilots stuff !
Great idea. Happy trails to you.... . Love you and I love your hair! Clairee
Thank you so much and for taking the time to say that!
Got a new pair of Lems, zero rise tennis shoes. Love them.
Also trying out the new white trend with Rothy’s. I don’t need the orthotics, so I may take theirs out.
“I got it just because it was so cute” - best reason ever!
Haha some shoes are like that!
Like your video ideas, and I always have to pick sandals with arch support. My podiatrist recommends Vionic or Birkenstocks.
Thanks!
Laurie, I love them all! I carry Leukotape for hot spots/blisters. For me, it's better than moleskin. I hike when traveling, and wear either Teva or Keen sandals. I have the original style Chacos with Vibram soles, but they're too heavy! Also, the sliding straps don't work for me. As I walk, they pull at the heel and tighten across the toes. I have to re-adjust ~every 2 hours.
Thanks for sharing!!
I love my Teva sandals. They are so comfortable and supportive. They come in taupe/brown and go with everything!
Tevas are fantastic
Thanks for all the brand ideas. I think almost nothing beats Birkenstocks for my particular troublesome feet, but I've had luck with Merrell as well.
Thanks for sharing! See I cannot wear Birkenstock at all. Never have been able to. But that’s why there are so many styles of comfortable shoes for travel. We are all different.
Being a retired ICU nurse, I swear by Birkenstocks. They literally are the only shoes I wear and have been wearing for the last 45 years. They are fantastic!
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie might have something to do with arches - I have very flat feet and the Birkenstock footbed helps with that for me.
Birkenstock makes my feet ache. I have walked all day in FitFlop.
I love the look of Birkenstock’s, and they look great on my daughter and daughter in law. I’ve had a pair for 20 years, and still feel like they need to be broken in. Just not comfortable.
I’m going to Greece in September. Can’t wait!
Oh how beautiful! Comfy shoes for walking on stone roads!
I love my Merrill shoes. I have several pairs and the waterproof hiking boots I used for Alaska excursions and they kept my feet warm and dry. EuroSoft shoes are fantastic for different width of feet because they also have Velcro adjustments on most of their shoes.
Thanks! Do you have the Merrells I showed?
I have high arches and find Clarks and Keen work best for me. I have to try them on to verify the support, so enjoy shopping the outlets.
Oh really!? I used to have some Clarks; it seems like their support is coming back.
Really good video, Laurie! Ecco is a really good brand - I bought some in England one year and walked comfortably through the rest of my trip in them.
Your dog makes me laugh! His/her eyes are so expressive!
Hi Rhonda! Yes, they are the only pair I could wear on the first day and not get a blister. Aullie says hi.
Little dog's face says SUITCASE? Oh No, Mom, you're not leaving us again??
I have an old pair of Clarks slip on shoes. They have great support and perforated holes on the leather insoles, so my feet aren't overheated. I got them from QVC a while ago but love pack them when I know a lot of sight seeing is involved like trips to Europe. They are also waterproof and look dressy for popping into a restaurant. I also own Dansko and Orthoheel sandals for arch support. Blondo boots are great.
I forgot to show mine from Blondo that are sold out.
Last year I was very lucky & was able to travel to Europe twice. For semi-hiking activities I wore Dansko Paisley sneakers (I have Old OR Nurses’ Feet) & Sofft slip-ons for other days; both worked well for me. For sandals I rely on Birkenstocks (did I mention Old OR Nurses’ Feet?). I am going to try those Ecco sneakers soon for Portugal in October.
Thanks for another very helpful video Laurie!
Ooh yes! We would love to visit Portugal.
I am going to Japan this fall so I will be walking a lot. Thank you for this video
Ooh yes supportive and comfortable.
My favorite shoes for all day walking are Vessi Weekenders. I am between a Med. and wide shoe…my toes usually feel cramped and ingrown nail like…make sense …but these were perfect! Only full sizes but I did okay sizing up for my European vacay last year. They are waterproof and took me through the LA rain this year. I also love my Ondo socks,
Yay!
Wonderful tips. I always look for your recommendations on shoes. We are traveling to Ireland and Scotland in August and then November a transatlantic cruise from Barcelona back to Tampa. We believe the weather should be the same or very similar… and the black boots and Ecco sneakers are coming with me for both lol. Thanks.
Oh what a magical trip! I'm so thankful with you that you get to do this kind of a trip.
Thank you for all of your great videos and tips. You are my favorite to watch for all things travel! I have a narrow foot and a high arch. I love Born sandals...super comfortable and cute. I size down half a size since they have European sizing. For closed toe, I like Keds. They fit my foot very well, especially with inner soles, but I size up half a size. My sister wears a size 5, and swears by Clarks for comfort.
Hi, yes some of the Born shoes are not supportive for me. We are all so different. Thanks for watching my videos!!
Great picks! I have a pair of Ariat leather slip on. Could have better arch support, but I love them!
Finding good shoes for travel is so important
Purchased the Birkenstock EVA shoes for my March Break trip to Jamaica. Comfortable, supportive for my knees and easy to wear around the resort or on day trips.
Thanks for sharing! Many travelers like those shoes.
I love time and tru shoes. I usually buy a couple of colors, wear them almost a year, then throw them out when the sole wears out. Affordable and super comfy.😊
I have very high arches and struggle with finding shoes that work. I’ve worn Naot for years. I did buy a pair of Ecco and still have had to add Dr. Scholls cork arch supports. I am heading to the Netherlands and
Belgium in
April for
Tulip
Time.
Love Naot shoes!
Oh wonderful!! Different styles seem to have varied fit. If you have the time to do returns, trying out several may help.
I loved the fact that you told us which shoes did not offer good support for longer walks. I'm looking for some tennis shoes with good support that I can walk in for a long time.
Gail, it is so hard to tell online how a shoe will fit especially for travel.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie I totally agree with you. Thanks for responding.
I went to London for a week last month. I brought black sketchers slip-ons (which I wore with wool socks for warmth) and black sorel chelsea boots. Those two pairs served well all week. The only thing I would have done differently would have been to spray water repellant on the sketchers; but we lucked out with the weather and saw only a little rain.
Yes packing a water-resistant shoe especially for European travel is smart. Was it wonderful being in London again?
I bought Skechers foaming sandals, and they are so comfy.
Have you tried the washing machine ones? They do run big.
I'll have to try a pair of washing machine safe ones!
I swear by Merrills! I wore a low heal clog style set to Australia and they were so comfortable with and without socks I did not need any other shoes! They were especially comfortable on the 16.5 hour flight to Australia and the 15.5 hour flight home. I also hiked up an extinct volcano wearing the Merrills. Another shoe I love is Oofas! The black slide is very lightweight and one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Because they are so light, they pack easy in a carryon. The black slide also can dress up since it is a simple style. I like to wear Oofas as slippers too. Multiple functions! A Dr recommended Oofas to me for my plantar fasciitis and I am ordering a new pair for the summer adventures. No foot pain is a bonus of wearing comfortable shoes!
I love those Merrells for any type of travel.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Check out the Oofas too! They are recovery shoes so perfect after a long day traveling and sightseeing.
I LOVE Blondo boots. They're not cheap, but oh so worth it!
I just discovered Adidas cloud sneakers. I have flat feet and these are wonderful. I have 3 pair that are all the same. Costco had them for about $30 last Spring (2023). They have a.fairly smooth sole, so no grip on them. But for airports, shopping, walking all over roars with my grandchildren, they're AMAZING!
I absolutely love Vionic brand shoes, and some Spenco shoes. Both provide great arch support. I have an extremely high arch and need really good support. Skechers now have a line of shoes called Archfit which provide great arch support. Worth trying!
Thanks so much for all you do! I love your videos and tips. Blessings ❤️
Thanks for sharing!
My go to beach/pool shoes are crocs two strap slide on but also crocs literide with the strap. These are made different than regular crocs which bother my big toes lol I have two styles of Columbia sandals, one pair looks like the merril and the other is a two strap slide on and so comfy. I have the blowfish tennis shoe in the green and pink and gonna get the ensoles now. But Skechers are my go to for walking. I’m diabetic and I’m extremely picky and love, love when you do these videos!
Hope the list helped!
Love those gingham shoes! They look like they'd go great with your gingham shirt
I think so too!
I enjoy Kiziks - the sneakers that you step into. My podiatrist loves them too & you can put inserts into them
Thanks for the rec
Dansko walking shoes blue color comfortable the minute you put them on. Great all day I have neuropathy and need great support these are a step above tennishoe and good for hiking as long as it not major mountain grade
Thanks!
So many cute shoes! I like OluKai shoes. I have very high arches and they give me the support I need. 😊
I want to try theirs.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie i have very high arches. My feet don't hurt when I wear them and now they have more styles.
@@irishpixierose I love having a variety!
I wholeheartedly agree…Olu Kai is fantastic ! They stand behind their quality and I’ve never had a more supportive flip flop. I own 8 pair!
I like Clarks, Earth Origins and Ortho feet as well as Merrell.
Hi, it’s Lisa you met today at IAH…the Ecco sneaker I wore for 10 days in Italy…I have a second pair in pink too! Keep posting videos and thank you for being so kind when I saw you.
Okay which one is the pink one? I love blush colored shoes! SO FUN meeting you! I'll post a pic at some point. There was a student with a g*n at my son's school there this morning RIGHT AFTER being checked out so we were kind of in shock still. All was safe and arrested immediately but mama bear mode was on! And we had great dinner convo-having a special trip so far. Sleep well in your own bed!
Wow, I’m sure you were happy you were with your son. That is scary. I’ll try and post a picture of the pink Ecco’s. They are the soft 7 in Tuscany Metallic. Hard to find but I found a store in Iowa that had my size!
Ecco’s are great for my plantar fasciitis because I can remove the Ecco arch support and replace with the one my podiatrist recommends.
I wondered why they made them removable.
I’ve been traveling in Africa, Central America, and Southeast Asia. For me it’s KEEN. Sturdy, supportive, comfortable, and durable to the tune if about ten years so far. They’re also machine washable. I throw them in the washing machine when I return home and air dry. The ones I have (Newport II) can be used as a sandal, for hiking, and through water.
Thank you for sharing!!
Dansko sandals are wonderful. I can go all day in them.
I love a pair of shoes that you can walk all day in.
Leaving in under a week on my first international trip, to Germany! It’s supposed to rain the entire time I’m there. Been trying so hard to find some reasonably priced water resistant shoes, it’s been tough but I think I’ve found two good options.
Mind if I ask what you chose? I'm going in late April for my first international trip too, and I'm still trying to find water-resistant shoes as well
My son wore some on cloud waterproof shoes on our recent tip to DC and it rained the entire time. His feet stayed dry. My shoes (Brooks) were great but not waterproof and the water was a bit if an issue. Even shallow puddles. I wore Skechers slip ons for the airport and they did well. Lightweight and easy. Excited to check out the Ecco as I love a slip on and much cuter than a running shoe style.
I will be going to Ireland next month and I am wearing in the airport and there a pair of Sketchers black ankle boots that are water resistant. They have a suede texture and a great arch support
I did try a cute boot from Skechers but just not enough support for me. I am so glad you found some. Have a blast!
I love all your suggestions for shoes. I have a wide foot size 7 & a high arch & always have a hard time finding cute shoes that are comfortable. Travelling to Ireland in June & staying over there for 2 months -hopefully getting to the UK & parts of Europe.. I am a sandal girl so always looking for a good long wearing sandal. I am from Ontario Canada
Only brand I can wear with my 7eifes and high arch! Is Vionic the flip flops feel like invisible sneakers, if that makes sense 😂
Hi Joan, you may like the ones I showed: bit.ly/3Yc2CMe
I like Dansko, Naot, Ecco, and Keen!
Some of my faves! Do you have the Ecco ones I showed?
I’ve walked throughout Europe with Jambu /JBU sandals. The “rubber tips” were invaluable on cobblestones
Ooh thanks for the rec
Toe protection is key.
I like the Johnston Murphy leather sneakers much better than Ecco for my feet. They have more padding in the footbed.
Ooh thanks!
Love all your tips. I'm going to Amsterdam this year for 2 weeks and plan on taking a carry on and small backpack. Shoes are a huge issue for me as I have narrow feet and most shoes are medium and wide only. Just bought a pair of Merrill's and Danskos, hoping they are going to work.
Please wear your shoes in before you travel. Sore feet make life harder when on the road.
Oh wonderful! Will you ride a bike while there? I would try as many as you can. If you do not love the, they are not worth $1.
I have narrow feet also. I did well in danskos for many years. But as I got older, I found that I would trip and fall out of them, especially on uneven terrain. I’ve swapped Danskos for Vionics.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie I don't think there is biking on this trip. Both pairs of shoes were very comfortable when I put them on. I have to put insoles with good arch supports in all my shoes.
Great video! Perfect preview before beach/walking vacation. Btw love your nail color, do you mind sharing the color n brand
Ooh I cannot see it-I use OPI everything.
Thanks for these. Revere - Zanzibar! I have high arches. I wore this pair out -- travel and walking 10,000/steps a day in Italy .. never once wished I had another pair of shoes. Over cobble stones and in the parks and on sidewalks.
Thanks for sharing!
