I just did a polish with M302 over last weekend, and got the same results. It was great. I was really surprised how nice it looked. Yeah it was humid here too, and yes alittle grabby. Not bad though. Car was a gray Honda Pilot 2017. Had hard time finding any love marks. Used Rupes yellow fine cut pad. That was a great video, love the hopscotch board on driveway. Family business is super cool.

I tried some KC micro cut M302 on My 2005 Acura TSX after washing/decontaminating the paint. I used My FLEX3401 with a CCS 6.5" orange pad. Wow! Lol! I left every other product on the shelf! This car isn't garaged and hasn't been done in a year..(It is washed regularly during Spring/Summer months) minimal defects as it was coated with CSL/EXO last year at this time. This car is going to look very nice when this process is done, coated again. Thanks for a great video.

Try reducing the amount of polish on the pad, and don't "prime" them. Brush the pad after each section. Try not to cycle it too long.
When a product dusts, I find that it's because it's picked up a lot of oxidation, previously applied protection, clear coat, or a combination of all that apply.
Me personally, I've been guilty of over cycling 400 when I first tried it back in 2015.
I tried the Koch and they felt like Menzerna copies, with a touch more lubricant.

thank you for this video. I have a new 2021 Black Porsche Macan...i was planning on just using sonax finisher with a black foam finishing pad. I am new to polishing so I wonder if you would recommend that set up for my vehicle from your experience. Thanks!

We do a lot of Porsche where I work.
I use a lot of 3D ONE, and AAT 502 there. If I need correction I like 3D ONE on Buff and Shine Uro-Fiber pads. For polishing/finishing I'm typically using yellow Buff and Shine Uro-Tec foam pads.
Oh, and in the event I need something heavier I use 3D ACA500.
I don't like having a ton of polishes hanging around, and using this trio keeps me from losing focus, and time.
Last spring I did pick up the Optimum line, and really like them. I've switched almost all of my chemicals to Optimum. Their polishes play really nice with their wax, sealant, and coating.

It's a dull white with zero sparkle in it. Unfortunately the correction is being done by hand with lake country hand pads. I have Perfect finish, Fabulous finishing polish, Turtle Wax One and Done, Meguiar's ultimate compound, Meguiar's Ultimate Polish and Poor Boys SSR-2 Polish. Any suggestion on what product to use would be amazing. I'd love to be able to use one and be done since it's going to be a ton of elbow Grease. • @attention2detailswchelsea
      @attention2detailswchelsea  3 роки тому

Sonax perfect finish is a DAT (and I think KC polishes are DAT as well) so you do have to work it longer for it to finish down better so one has to take that into consideration. That could explain the grabby removal. Griots CC I believe is SMAT which no matter how long you use it amount of cut stays the same but in this instance I was looking for a finishing ability vs correction and DAT products tend to finish down better than SMAT products.

I know I am months behind, it seemed like the Sonax left some hazing. I may be wrong. I don’t have anywhere near the experience you do

Noob question... shouldn't you have used a panel wipe on your initial test before judging which was better? Maybe it was fillers that made the difference? Since you were covering with sealant after.

I didn't find them any better than Menzerna.
I ended up selling them because I already have the Menzerna.

You are comparing a 2000 grit med polish to a 3ooo grit finishing polish, every detailer thinks perfect finish is a finish polish. Sonax makes 2500 grit and 3ooo grit polishes

Perfect Finish is also geared towards rotary polishers.
It's cool people use it as a finisher, but they could be removing more clear than necessary when a dedicated finishing polish would be the more responsible thing to do.
