  • This DIY Flaxseed Gel Can Boost Your Hair Growth
    You all may know me from my viral rice water video where I was rocking my favorite pixie cut. Well, I've been growing my hair out since then and one of the key treatments I've been using to help boost my growth (in addition to eating a well-balanced diet) is my DIY Flaxseed Hair Mask.
    Flaxseeds contains Omega-3s, helps to define curls, boost hair growth and so much more.
    Ingredients:
    2 cups of water
    1 cup of flaxseed
    Always apply to freshly shampooed hair. Leave on for about 20-30 minutes then rinse and style as desired.

      Debbie once you apply the flax seed gel, do you rinse it out or leave it in? If you leave it in how often do you reapply it within 2 weeks before the next wash day?

    Flaxseed gel i made, made my eyebrows grow. I lost all my hair with chemo, then thyroid went out of whack. So they just wouldn't grow. But they did thicken with the flaxseed gel. Plus it's fantastic for your skin. I used it plus hyaluronic acid and retinol. Gave and skin looked younger within 1-2 weeks.

    The older I get the more I realize just how twisted & reckless the hair industry is when it comes to “black hair”, both natural and chemically treated.. Every few years there’s always another “ hair growth” fad, & influence of what hair products to use switches up 10 times as much. to make matters worse we have “ influencers “ who knows Nothing about the science behind the products they’re pushing on to other women. meanwhile, we’re hundreds of thousands of years in and most black women STILL don’t know how to take care of their own hair🤦🏾‍♀️. So many cosmetologist still care more about hair styling than nurturing/ growing their clients hair. if the last 5 hair growth regimens really worked then why does it changes so often. This affects no other group of women but us.

    • @AskDebbieAboutHair
      @AskDebbieAboutHair  Рік тому +34

      So true, however hair trends have an impact on all groups of women not just us. Most cosmetologists don't know that nutrition plays a huge role in your hair health and that healthy hair first starts from within. I always taught my clients that as their stylist. That's why I became a board-certified nutritionist to help educate us about the importance of health and wellness and how it all relates back to the health of your hair 🧡

      So true. That's why I don't bother with influencers anymore cos they have no scientific knowledge as to WHY these 'never stop growing' recipes work. If my hair will never stop growing, why have you made 5 new videos???🤷🏿‍♀️🤔 The weekly videos are just for views cos they never show any type of review as to which 1 they prefer or recommend, length, popping curls, thickness etc

      Yes you can use it before shampoo or after shampoo. You should keep it for minimum one hour on your hair . Sometimes I keep it overnight too. You must try this. It's the only diy I do apart from oiling my hair the right way. And results are amazing. My frizzy hair looks so healthy now.
