Thank you for the delicious recipe...I substituted canola oil for the melted butter..I used 1/4 cup of honey (to cut back on sugar)...I did have to use about 5 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour...they turned out Excellent!thanks so much!
If I wanted to put these in the freezer, at what stage would I do that? I plan to attempt this recipe today. I've never done well with baking bread. Wish me luck!
My husband is making these today for tomorrow. I am so excited! We did not use milk however. We used oat milk. Lets see how they come out. I'll keep u posted!
@@YSGKitcheneria they just came out of the oven and of course I had to eat one lol. they turned out very good. I felt better about eating one since it was whole wheat flour and honey. The dough was horrible sticky but my white flour recipe has been the same way this summer. maybe it just summer weather in general that causes that. This recipe is like my white flour dinner roll recipe except the honey & whole wheat. thank your for posting it.
Tawana Wow, that’s good to hear. If the dough is too sticky, I usually grease my hands with a little bit of oil or non- stick spray so I can shape the dough into balls. Thank you!
You can make a flax egg with ground flaxseed and water. The ratio is 1:3 for One flax egg. One tablespoon ground flax, three tablespoons water. Increase by 3 for this recipe. Mix and let sit for five minutes
Vinutha Rao I haven’t tried replacing egg in this recipe. But there are a lot of ways to substitute eggs. You can use apple sauce, mashed bananas, baking soda and hot water, chia seeds. However, I cannot tell you how much you need in this recipe since I haven’t done it yet.
