Glad to hear you enjoyed this! apparently elitists think Resto is not doing great in DF so far, but for easy content and casuals I personally find it amazing.
@@GyrotexGaming I ran a few Timewalking instances last night using this build on a level 62 Shaman and I only had to use anything more than Earth Shield and Healing Stream Totem a handful of times, and even then it was a single Chain Heal to top everyone up. It may not be the best for cutting edge stuff, but I’m not doing that I just want to take it easy and have fun in my game time which this is perfect for.
Hey Gyro glad to to see you enjoying DF. Its the first time I've truly enjoyed the game since Legion, but its still not quite where it needs to be to keep me playing past the honeymoon. I let my sub run out for now by I think Il be back when there is more to do. By week 3 I was doing all the reset content in one day then struggling to find fresh interesting things to fill my time.
I actually agree with you my friend, and it's good to see you're still around! :) I also ran out of things to do pretty quickly, in all honesty as aside from these little different class reviews and new wings of LFR, I've seen it all by now. Planning to return to Path of Exile part time, if they don't pick up their game.
Perfect timing, I decided to dust off my old shaman that I haven't played since BC to level up :) Sadly, vanilla/cata dungeons seem to be way overtuned!! So I might just spend the day levelling him up to 60 via quests and try to get some time walking in before this week's reset. Will definitely follow your guide when I do decide to switch back to resto!
Keep at the dungeons. I have been playing my shaman as a main since BC, but mostly as enhancement. Now, I have a resto on opposing faction to play with my son, I've been going resto for fast dungeon queues. I feel right at home having played shaman all these years! The dungeons after 60 won't get easier if those other ones you already know pretty well are tough! Good luck!
I'm not really a healer main, which is why I don't go too far in that direction, but I appreciate your interest. Another healing spec I'll be covering for sure is Preservation Evoker, which I really like
Hey Gyro, looking forward to trying your build for my shaman. Mythic+ is great and all but we all need to be lazy from time to time and enjoy the game 👍
Hey Pete, yeah I wouldn't push M+ with it - did ok in the Vault +2 last night but my gear is admittedly crap (some items have AGI instead of INT! lol....) so I'd say it would be ok for +4 ish, but I'd try and optimise playstyle and talents a bit maybe if you want to push higher.
@@GyrotexGaming Makes perfect sense! My takeaway is healing can be hard with anyone if you have a Wrathion vs Sabellian style tank, haha. Thanks for the reply and good content
I still think Holy Priest is quite easy (there's a video on my channel if you haven't seen it) but I personally very much enjoy healing on Preservation Evoker
@@GyrotexGaming I'd be very interested to see your take on a laidback approach to Preservation Evoker, I'm having a tricky time getting my head around all the new abilities on such a new class.
@@meemigemeemes7875 it takes me a while to get my head around a new class and all the spell icons being so similar for Evoker hasn’t really helped with that for me. That plus only playing a couple of hours a week means I’ve just not got to grips with it yet.
Hey what is the addon that you are using to customize the group health bar and position it horizontally centered? Also do you use any click/target autocast?
Did you watch the video? I talk about it and give all info in the description. Standard UI and mouseover macros with some very basic WeakAura to track ES
If anybody here who loves rsham wants to do any remotely hard content (mythics above a 10), i suggest never touching resto shaman, they got gutted in the ptr and are currently the weakest healer in terms of healing output and damage. It is damn near impossible to climb rating or complete anything at a 15 or higher with the current dungeons. Not to mention we have gotten 1 single buff the entire expansion, currently resto is the only spec in the entire game not receiving any attention and its showing in the dropoff of players and top IO players. (ive been playing rsham for 2 xpacs now, main healer for 3, and have always been a Leaderboard climber, this time in shadowlands i was running 25's. now i cant go above a 13 without struggling)
Nice throw-in, but seriously man, did you notice who this video is for? How does it even touch "hard content"? 🙄 Resto shaman is very very enjoyable if you're not a hardcore try hard, that's my view. Tryhards are not my audience, sorry if you are disappointed.
It is completely fine in raids if you look at mythic logs and in m+ the first shaman is 66th on the healer rankings, which includes almost only druids and evokers with the occasional Hpala and 2 priests (mistweaver is found at 220+). They aren't doing extremely well but you can only make that argument if you are pushing the highest keys so anything 3k+ rating which is almost always the case. if you want to do the highest of the highest key then you naturally go for the top of the meta. If you don't belong to that group then you are fine playing resto sham any healer can reach 2800+ at the moment and even more so later on in the season when people reach BiS and highest ilvl. But yes resto shaman isn't a druid or evoker. It is also skewed by people hard rerolling so there also are a lot more extremely good players playing other classes. We have no clue how well the best of the best would perform if they played resto.

Thanks for this! I mained a Resto Shammy back in MoP and have been wanting to heal again on it and this will be perfect for starting that again.

Would you do more healing guides? Maybe healing in heroics and LFR?
Hey thanks for your interest. Another very easy guide for Preservation Evoker spec is coming up tomorrow! 😉
Love this. I try hard tbh but this seems like an AMAZING alt idea
Glad to hear you approve! ;)

The best dungeons to level in imo are TBC dungeons. Super quick and simple :)
Great timing indeed. I was starting to level up my shaman again and haven't healed on her much before.

How does UI import string work? Just came back to WoW and I wanted to copy the lay out of your UI.
Copy the string, press N, switch to talents, open the little dropdown in the bottom-left corner of the talents window, import build.
Good video, can it be done for the othwr healers? Easiest healing specs for the other healers maybe? :)

yeah i hear this is easy but i still get frustrated when massive damage comes in or when too many are pulled. I guess healing isnt for me.
It's not easy for sure, especially when you don't know the tank, but many people do enjoy healing a lot!

Works for me

Agh! The Weakaura Pastebin link doesn't work... 😩

Thanks for reporting the issue, I don't trust Pastebin anymore and started uploading auras to Wago instead.

Restro is the worst spec atm xD to heal
