Been a while since I've given love to your channel (other than small sub,), but I just wanted to say I really appreciate your vids and they've always been a highlight of my day. DF, turtle wow, v+, or obviously ascension, I will always enjoy your vids and you honestly make my day better every time I see a new video.
When he wrote that guide there was an anniversary event giving 18% xp, he was using different xp pots, and I think there was another 50% xp buff at that time during pre patch. So I'd say, just level wherever you want, what zone you quest dosen't matter that much. Leveling to max in 3 hours just isn't possible during this time.
Seems a little weird not to divulge that imo. Hell the guide literally says that it should work without ANY XP boosts, but that's false. I've followed it twice and only left Hillsbrad at the high 20's, rather than the 40's he says.
@@Civtac I mean clickbait is normal but there's a limit =/. It should be "well if you REALLY stretch it at the best case scenario, this is a true statement even if its a bit much" not "im lying"
Small tip: get APR (Auto Pilot Reloaded) which makes it way easier for (future) leveling. It basically automates quests, dialog, auto sell, shows where to go etc. It really helped me allot.
APR has been a lifesaver. i've leveled 4 different alts since DFs launch and used it for all of them and dont think i'd want to level with out it. one fall back is that it occasionally bugs on certain quest givers so you have to disable the auto turn in feature once in a while.
Should be said the guy did use a high mobility and damage class in Monk, he did utilize the monk questing zone through Zen Pilgrimmage. He utilized engineering items like gunshoes to move around a lot faster. He gifted himself a lot of money and equipment for higher levels that helps in killing elites. There are a lot of things he did to make it a lot more efficient. You went with what was possible on one character without those tools. Still, there is also a practice element. Once you know what you're doing you can shave off time.
The main thing to keep in mind is that the title of Harldan's guide is what is eventually possible if you are using items to help with your overall efficiency and if you aren't taking your time. Harldan is a speedrunner and this is the route he recommended. He has a website for more info on that kinda stuff and a discord. The average wow player is not a speedrunner and won't get record time, but it is still a pretty good route Edit: Harldan also has a tier list on his youtube channel of best and worst leveling specs. DEFINITELY worth checking out. Top 2 best are Windwalker Monk and Guardian Druid. Rogue is probably the worst leveling class, so take into account the classes you level with when thinking about speed.
I am so glad it's not me. I did the same exact route and my time was tripled of his. Which technically isn't bad. Consider the old way. But doing a click bait on 3 hours just isn't working for me. I love the idea of bouncing from Chromie to these new areas because the XP is so huge. But if you're on a new character or new account. Expect to be 12 to 13 hours to get to 60 but again like I said that's actually pretty good considering the old way
One thing I found with following this guide from the original poster was that you actually out level the zones during the changes and we're forced to talk to Chromie to change back to the current timeline to keep with the correct xp rates (ie. I'm currently leveling in Draenor which is 10-40 not 10 to 60) so I'd need to talk to Chromie to get back to the correct rate.
leveling in WoD was the best leveling in wow history the end game wasnt very good is why people didnt like it. honestly the raid was amazing but there was a 12 month content drought
I've used this many times since published. Even without all the bonuses its still very efficient. Usually takes me roughly 20-25 hours with only the war mode buff.
@@Mcdoubles rogue’s still great, always has been. But they’re not as dominant as they’ve been in recent seasons. You can look at solo shuffle leaderboards to see there’s a lot more Eles above 2400 than rogues. However always play what you’re more comfortable with and you’ll perform better
As others mentioned there is a lot of xp buffs he used but he also uses addons that auto accepts/completes quest which will save you a lot of time outside of the route is fine but the 3 hours is basically impossible to do without nearly 200% extra xp
Commenting 4 months later so it probably doesn’t matter, but in the video he does say that being a vulpera makes everything much easier as every time you have to use a hearthstone (regular, Garrison, or Dalaran), you can just set up camp beforehand and then just return whenever you’re ready, cutting down on travel time. He also mentions in the video that at lvls 20, 30, and 40 to go get their respective riding skills. And if it turns out this comment doesn’t matter, I’ll just say this, I managed to get 2 characters to lvls 55 and 52 within 7 days, only playing roughly 4-5 hours per day. I also didn’t strictly follow the guide, doing side quests and profession-related things. I also ended up doing the WoD intro before I ever watched the guide on one character. So your roughly 3-5 levels per hour is probably pretty average without all the buffs or other advantages that guy had.
Really love ur recent retail vids, actually been enjoying them more than ur ascension vids for some reason. Might have to do with the fact that season 8 is kinda … meh…
I followed his bloody video as well and reached level 40 upon completing the quests in Hillsbrad but something undisclosed that he barely glossed over was the fact that he's going out of his way to kill every rare elite in the early zones and in draenor. I mean take Hillsbrad Foothills for example, how many rares do you think he killed, 3? 5? 7? No he kills 19 rarespawns in Hillsbrad. Also another thing, If you have Mining or Herbalism you get extra experience for gathering ores and plants which isn't disclosed. And yet another thing that he failed to disclose is that you can purchase Draught of Ten Lands or use the Battle Standard of Coordination to get bonus experience and on top of all of this, Depending on how horde/alliance sided your server is, The war mode buff changes between 10% - 25%

Yeah, no draughts and no darkmoon fair makes a big difference, but also class. Rogues just dont have good leveling tools. Plus something to pick up and turn in quests automatically will save a lot of time
Me and my partner tried to follow the exact same guide twice recently and we always ended his guide at like level 40? And we still haven't got our characters to 60, which is unfortunate but it must require some of the xp boosts
I'm glad you made this. I too used his guide, I am currently a level 55 mage in Gorgrond with 15 hours played. I have been playing since the game release and I have full heirloom gear. For a non speed leveler this route is not good. By contrast I'm currently leveling a DK with dungeons and I'm averaging 11 minutes a level.

Thing is, I've watched someone do the route and It really just comes down to micro adjustments that add up over the course of time. They have the path down to a T. Trying to pick it up without much practice will leave you doing it in probably 3X what it took them.
I levelled a few characters using this guide and even on second / third time round I’m still near enough double the time if not a bit longer so must of been a lot of xp pots etc

Managed to do 60-70 in 9 hours on my druid no exp buffs - while only queuing for normal dungeons while standing afk at the top of valdrakken xD The leveling in the new expac is so fast. I was a healer so very little queue time though to be fair.
I followed the guide myself and its impossible to reach 60 in 3 Hours. The Author of the guide must have benefitted from XP Buffs or the likes cause otherwise it just does not make any sense.
Why you didn't use an Aura of Experience and Experience Potion(s) xD 😂, with those bam you get a 3 hours run! Or, like the author just said: just be good enough

When it comes to these leveling "guides." I don't pay attention to them, mostly because when wrote it is during either a DMF event mixed with exp potions or something. Just level at your own speed & you will get there eventually.
confirmed McDoubles is a furry.
How did it feel wasting 5 hours
he did a stream where he got it in less than 4hour
youre better off using azeroth pilot reloaded. just a quest guide that has an arrow you follow. much more realistic.
Do you think I would have reached 60 faster with it instead of this guide?
@@Mcdoubles It's everyones go-to. The 10-60 Route has been consistently WoD since you could do only WoD. Good exp rates at a decent time
Fastest way to lvl is just do random dung and then quest while you wait for que
also maxing out all your heirloom items to max lvl also will help. including wpns . can add fiery to heirloom wpns as well
I leveled from 1 to 60 in less than 30 seconds.
can't even lie this is a really good video idea, testing claims to be the fastest way to level... genius. P.S. its considered Monk is the best leveling class
Thank you!
I'd argue Evoker is faster, but is kinda cheating :P
sub is definitely the fastest level spec
Managed to do 60-70 in 9 hours on my druid no exp buffs - while only queuing for normal dungeons while standing afk at the top of valdrakken xD
The leveling in the new expac is so fast. I was a healer so very little queue time though to be fair.
Look into the cobalt assembly xp farm. Got my hunter from 60-70 in 3 hours
I followed the guide myself and its impossible to reach 60 in 3 Hours.
The Author of the guide must have benefitted from XP Buffs or the likes cause otherwise it just does not make any sense.
I'm so glad I'm not just the absolute worst
Why you didn't use an Aura of Experience and Experience Potion(s) xD 😂, with those bam you get a 3 hours run! Or, like the author just said: just be good enough
Mcuwu... A flurrie character... On a RP server... Pretty sus...
O.O
I was able to do it in under 4 hours.. but just barely
skinning/lw because THEMES
or herb/alch because THEMES
