and makes me excited to do some crafting as well as exploring. For me when I find exciting about an MMORPG in general is the sense that there is an enormous world filled with little nooks and crannies and secrets that I don’t know about.
I've watched your videos in the past, but never subscribed. This video was so damn helpful that I would of felt wrong not subscribing now, thanks for the help!
From what i have observed, the random knowledge for crafting you get from killing mobs and opening treasure might be capped at 4 knowledge for each of your professions every weekly reset. After the first week reset I always got exactly 1 knowledge point from treasure and mobs in each of the four new zones. So I got 1 KP for tailoring and 1 KP for enchanting in Azure Span, than in Waking shores etc...
There's definitively something like that, either a system is in place to throttle the rate you get them or there is a hard-cap. For some reason I get the first 2-3 knowledge items super quickly, and the ones following that can take hours and hours in between.
Looking in the skinning menu, the item that grants knowledge is listed and says "you can find 0 more of these this week" in the description so that does appear to be weekly limited
@@bikeomatic8005 i don’t think so, there is cap mining and herbing 3-5 hours a day i got 5-6 KP per week each without including the shards and the special weekly knowledge token “the one you can loot twice a week while gathering”

Same! I don’t get a lot of time to play but I learned my first epic pattern tonight and can’t wait to make it for myself! I just hope that some of the mythic level raiding gear well be able to craft doesn’t require us to actually kill the bosses on mythic.. feel like that would defeat the purpose
From what my gathering friends say, it's something you can get in the spec tree for that profession. I couldn't say what node has it, but take a look around and you should find it.
@SignsOfKelani I don't know if you've mentioned this, but the new Darkmoon Firewater has been changed to now increase Deftness by 15% along with increase size and gathering speed.
Oddly enough for crafting and the work order system I have seen all that you pointed out on all my alts. My main has not since they shut off the profession for almost a day. (Alchemy) So I don't even have those crafting order quests. Best part is the 7 day buff to give 15 rep for the Artisian's Consortium bugs world quests it seems.
It's so weird. I am coming here to give you like and comment. But... I... I don't want to know how... I enjoy it all so much, that I want to explore and discover it all. Like glyphs, it was so fun to use only achi tracking and finding the names on the map.

Really enjoying crafting in this expansion; it's not terribly difficult, but it's really nice at how more in-depth it is compared to previous expansions (make stuff till it's green, move onto the next one, repeat, repeat). The other profession that's been fun is fishing now that there's more stuff to do for it (primarily with the walrus folks). Really fun expansion so far!!
is there an enchant for gloves for gathering like we used to have in legion and shadowlands? people gather herbs while on mount and some did it way faster in gathering mines is there a reason or specialization or is it an enchant ..thx
I think you are kind of wrong about gathering getting it by gathering. Last like 4 days before reset I have been mining a lot and got 0. The reset day every second node gave me some until at some point it stopped. I think they secretly time gated it so people don't go crazy and top it by gathering it 24/7. So just chill and gather some till you stop needing ore/herbs...
This caps IDK how many you can get before it caps, but at some point you'll get an epic one, that gives you three at that point you've capped, and then it resets on reset.
They said something about the journal tracking knowledge gains. Idk if the 1 point gains have a limit that you can track or if it's hidden but he did say the larger epic ones have a limit that the journal tracks. I didn't know about this so I'll be checking it out later when I get home.
When doing the valdrakken prof quests if it asks you to craft two or more of a certain item I think it has to be the same item precisely meaning stats also. The quest kept resetting for me because the necks i made were different secondary stats but ince i got them the same it worked. Just fyi
Something I've been doing for the crafting order quests is that the alt that sends out the orders is my disenchanting spec enchanter. It makes it feel less wasteful when i can DE all the gear I'm making for the skill up
the one I didnt know about was the lvl 14 Renown CRafters knowledge, it seems you only get that for specific professions?!?! I was so gutted as I was rly hoping for 40 prof knowledge from that source which wouldve been amazing
Crafting has been a massive win this expansion. Relevant crafts and gear, plenty of fiddly bits to play around with. Easy to learn, difficult to master. My only real disappointment in it all is that cooking didn't get the same treatment as the others. So much they could have done there.
My only gripe with this expansion is the amount of recipes locked behind reputations... I usually only run the story and rep farm on my main and then my alts are my tradeskillers, but now a lot of relevant recipes are locked behind reps that I have to grind on each alt... Though I am grateful for the rep catch up mechanic, it is still a grind I don't agree with.

I'm a JC and for the last week the only ones up have been either max renown recipes or stuff from the storms event that haven't started until next week lol.
