Finally finished this one, a lot of the philosophy ones go over my head a bit. Maybe it's something to return to in a few years. Thanks for doing these as usual.
thank you very much! i have to point out that chapter 5 is pasted double. chapter 5 starts in the middle of where chapter 4 is marked (1:40:00) and then starts over where its marked correctly
IDK if what you saw is a glitch, but in the video description, this is what's there: 1:26:37 Chapter 4: World Schematism 2:05:53 Chapter 5: Time and Space
@@SocialismForAll refreshed the page and all - 1:40:00-2:05:53 and 2:05:53-2:31:45 is the same text (chapter 5) so for people binge listening confused why it sounds similar - its the same lul, skip to the chapter 6
Thank you for this! I listen to your channel just about every day and I'm learning so much from these uploads. The only channel that feels like being part of an ad hoc (in that it's not compulsory, but when I have the time, I do make it!), virtual classroom on really existing Marxism-Leninism and it's such a treasure. Thank you again!
@ 3:54ish until 3:59ish : Your comments and reflections regarding mathematics as an artificial, logical construct, as a tool we've created and use etc, and the illusory affects that using such an effective tool has on our conclusions regarding reality are very much appreciated. I've been waiting to listen to such an analysis for a long time. For me, stepping back, reflecting and asking "what is all this?" Has been a formative and soothing activity for as long as I can remember. Nothing beats the sense of wonder, it's very liberating as well.
I think Chapter 5 is on here twice? The re-reading of chapter 5 begins at 2:05ish right after the first reading of chapter 5 is completed. I should listen to it twice anyway.
The part about Duhring conjering up concepts like numbers and figures in his mind 1:20:42 really sounds like the fkr had a serious "God complex" Just wild.
Are chapter 4 and 5 almost identical? I could've sworn he wrote the same thing about infinite number series in both chapters in this presentation. Please correct me if I missed something. Thanks
I know it's confusing, but these are on the Basic ML Study Guide playlist, I'm doing them in order, and the parts are presented out of numerical order due to the topic of each.
6:16 your comments on thinking dialectically was abruptly cut off.......the comment had an interesting start, then left us hanging. I just thought I'd mention it. Your comments are highly valued.
Done. I gotta say Engels was a beast. The way her shreds Duhring is a masterclass of critique. The critique shows the level Engels himself was at. I will definitely have to go back and relisten to sections of this piece. So much of it stimulated my own thoughts, that I'd be caught thinking and not listening. I found myself hitting the 10 seconds back so many times in order to relisten and still I feel I did not grasp the full depth of several sections of this piece.

@3:55= reminds me of years ago when I was heavily into Wittgenstein and his work The Philosophical Investigations and the concept of "language games".
I’m glad that differentiation and integration are no longer as informal and mystical as in Engels' time. Praised be epsilon!

Yeah I should probably edit that out eventually. What was the time stamp? It's definitely not 2:05

Yes, some of the chapters are like a part 1-part 2 combo
@@SocialismForAll Oh ok, makes sense. Thank you for the response and making these
I think I know now where the term "Duh" came from lol
I can't find part 2
Probably because I haven't recorded it yet
@@SocialismForAll Oh. Yeah that makes sense lmfao

3:22:18 LOL this paragraph
Every chapter ends with a banger lmao
2:00:22 wtf happened here
LOL there was a duplicate chapter I edited out. I guess it's an artifact
