It comes down to the fact that Alex was the only Top 5 ish guy who hasn’t faced and lost against Levan yet, other than Jerry But Jerry hasn’t really been very active the last 2 years either

Here’s my hot take: based on style, forearms length and technical abilities, I think that Levan is an easier match for Jerry than Ermes. Ermes has a shorter forearm and can go purely sideways with that sort of hook if he wants to (and we know this is a killer move against Jerry). Levan instead has a longer forearm, with similar leverage and technique as Alex Kurdecha (obviously Levan is stronger), but still I think Jerry can do better against Levan than he could possibly do against Ermes in a rematch. As you said in the video, I don’t think Levan is able to execute that killer move like Ermes did. Due to his enormous size and longer forearm he cannot stay that close to his hand with his body, plus his forearm will be far more horizontal than the one of Ermes. And the Jerry Cadorette’s press is very effective against longer and more horizontal forearms. So he absolutely deserves this opportunity, and I think he will give us a very good match (even though Levan is still the favorite imo due to his enormous strength)
And Levan does literally everything well. He is deceptively quick when he needs to move from one position to another. As we saw against Devon in round 1 when he got stuck - and YES, he was stuck - at center table, he was able to close into a press quickly and basically hyperextend Devon's elbow, thus draining his arm for the remaining rounds. Against Jerry, Levan may be able to flatten Jerry's wrist out so he can't get behind it from a winning position. If that happens, Jerry's toast and Levan will hold him there until he dies.
We gotta get this match in soon because both Jerry and Levon are speed running towards a heart attack by being overweight and blasting a bunch of gear. Don’t get me wrong. I love it, but it’s not peak health.

If Levan loses some round in a toproll he will probably switch to a hook. In a hook he may not be able to flash Jerry since he has more pinning power in a toproll but it would still allow him to gain position constantly without being trapped on the pad if his hook is strong enough.

Devon uses way more back pressure and stops the match first with pulling back and only then goes to side to force the pronation with bone lock whereas Michael does that hit to the back and the side using way more lat drag and side pressure And could Michael's style possibly cause more trouble for Levan?
Yes I think Michael has a higher strength ceiling than Devon does. Mike says he can reach 500+ on bench and 700+ on deadlift along with 205lbs on the pronation lift which is 93kg. Devon probably couldn't do more than 78kg using Michael's form for reference. Mike's surgery has made him stronger than his 2017 prime when he could win rounds on prime Dennis and Pushkar. I don't like his style but he is so strong right now it's hard to dislike when he pronation lifts people off the floor even in a king's move. I like that Michael is basically the overall fittest armwrestler even if his body isn't coordinated enough to do all the moves due to having so many injuries for so long. No one else could expect to do 300lbs drag, 500lbs+ bench, 700 deadlift and 205 pronation.

I wonder if: A) jerry has enough back pressure. Levan couldn't press ermes primarily because he was getting separated from his shoulder as he tried to stand up. Will jerry be able to apply enough back pressure to do this? B) technique, we have seen ermes ANNIHILATE jerry by low gripping him and preventing that dead wrist position, levan has shown against Devon that at this point in his career hes extremely technical and knows what the proper counter to a given move is. Levan is extremely strong and will be able to implement the same strategies as ermes in a way the kurdecha simply did not. Given those two things I think if levan does everything correctly there's no way for jerry to win
It's important to keep in mind that even though jerry would be a MASSIVE underdog against levan, he is clearly the person with the best shot right now, and *someone* needs to pull levan eventually. We can't just not give levan any matches because nobody is strong enough to have a good shot at beating him. You kind of have to just put your best guy out there every now and then because you have to give levan at least a match or two a year.
Jerry is a very strong human being and his elbows are made of titanium. He is a solid bench presser. Devon sometimes talks like a stoner (not the good kind)

Jerry has a chance like anyone else has a chance. There is always a chance, but it is a very very tiny chance. Levan showed his range with the press with Devon so he isn't a one trick pony in addition to being freakishly strong. Doubt there is anyone in their current form that can take anything away from Levan.

I've said it for years Jerry is a mismatch for Levan. However, Levan has been working on his weaknesses. I would have to give it to Levan still. I feel like the refs let Jerry turn his body and get ready to press vs most people. But in a match vs Levan I feel like the organizer's will make sure the refs don't let him start with his body twisted in fear that he will get the first Levan win.

Jerry has a chance like anyone else has a chance. There is always a chance, but it is a very very tiny chance. Levan showed his range with the press with Devon so he isn't a one trick pony in addition to being freakishly strong. Doubt there is anyone in their current form that can take anything away from Levan.

I've said it for years Jerry is a mismatch for Levan. However, Levan has been working on his weaknesses. I would have to give it to Levan still. I feel like the refs let Jerry turn his body and get ready to press vs most people. But in a match vs Levan I feel like the organizer's will make sure the refs don't let him start with his body twisted in fear that he will get the first Levan win.
