Me too. And it is SO much better! So much less stress now! Disclosure: I do still have FB so I can check out photos of my grandkids’ school activities, etc.
@@Jme62 no Facebook. If my kids want me to see they have to send to pics. I just finished a project I started years ago. Im serious social media got in the way. I repainted my garage floor which meant cleaning it out and redoing it. I thourghly enjoyed it. Now both of my corvettes are in there. Drinking coffee here in Georgia. Have concrete coming at 8 am to pour pad for metal building on the south 40 to store my motorcoach. Busy day .
Love the opening sot with the sound of the wind. Peace and quiet. The truck porch is my favorite spot of the the whole vehicle. Cant wait for the cabin build!
Timmy your editing skills are showing through your videos. Great job! Looking forward to the Cabin build. Want to see the engineering on that roof and deck for sure. Blessings
Your channel is so much better than all the other “van life” channels. It’s genuine outdoorsmen content. Most of the others do it just for UA-cam and you can tell it’s not truly who they are lol. You can see this is just naturally who you are
Congratulations on getting the loan approved for your new house, I know you will enjoy building it,the scenery is beautiful all that snow this late in may ,enjoy thanks for sharing stay blessed
Timmy, stoked for, you buddy . you sooooooo deserve to fulfil your dreams, you made us dream for years by allowing us to follow your adventures and feel included . Well done young man !
My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you build your new home. We have followed up to your adding the security fence around the top level. Can’t wait for the inside I think your pantry will be small but maybe not. We watch in whatever order Utube sends our direction so sometimes the videos are out of order, sometimes not. This evening it’s this video about the house plans My husband likes your thorough way of explaining what you have done. Keep’m coming.
I love the content … just hangin out in Alaska with my boy virtually. It’s a strangely satisfying escapism. It helps that you’re a phenomenal person. Love that dobro! (And mandolin plus your ukulele) Looking forward to the build!
Drove past Timmy's truck today on our 2 week road trip in alaska. Was so excited when I spotted his rig. Very unique rig was cool seeing it cruise past.
My favorite are the snow camping videos, hunkering down in a warm cabin, or camper making baked goods and other comfort foods. We get snowed in sometimes in northern Michigan for a day or two and it’s just enjoyable, not sure why!
Stoked to see the new build! When you started describing the roof top deck with hot tub etc I told my wife. “He’s gonna need a good engineer!” Haha. Irish death brewery is in my back yard. 🤙🏼
The fact that this cabin has withstood the test of time and survived so many insane miles on the road is a true testament to your craftsmanship. Also, way to rock the Melanzana up in AK. Hell Yeah
I sure hope you still do some camping this summer with your cabin on wheels. I live in San Diego🌴 I can't believe it still snowing and cold. Well, I Guess Santa Likes that weather. LOL!! Good Luck With Your New Project.
Been watching for a week now. Caught up from 1year back. So many great things you teach, do and show. Looking forward to the Home Build. A Structural Engineer myself, PE, and CM ... Should be interesting ...
Experience speaking....reconsider the flat roof on your new house. Even with constant shoveling of the snow, drain/seepage issues will always plague you. Even the sun will degrade the preventative leaking measures you put in. But if you still decide to go ahead with it, I wish you the best of luck.
@@Mochi-sn3ud He can only go so high for building regulations no doubt, so if it were to be a pitched roof, he would lose the upper floor. That’s why we use engineers, to calculate the snow loads and live loads(party of 12-20😂) and have trusses of sufficient design.
Around Anchorage it doesn't seem to have too great a snow depth. When I was there in 78, I didn't see more than about 18" total at any point that winter. Valdez might be a different story, you'd spend lots of time shoveling.
As a recent subscriber, I have wondered if you had a separate stationary location for living besides this truck. I am looking forward to your building series 😄. Thanks for letting us share your adventures 😁. Shivering black bell thumbs up 😎
Also, I really like the fact that your camper looks so much like a tiny cabin ❤. If there's plans for the basic layout available it would be neat to see. Thanks again 👍🏻.
Hatcher Pass is a beautiful place. Was there a few times when I lived in Alaska as a kid. My Dad lived in Chickaloon for a few years, now he lives up in NE Alaska in Eagle.
Cool off grid cabin I hope, cool can’t wait to watch, and if I can ask talk more threw video’s some times you don’t eh, I know peace and quiet nice too but ya ❤
Want to see this, but a flat roof on top is a huge load for snow let alone hot tub and fire pit. I personally would do more A frame with huge overhangs. Kinda of like the Scandinavian look. I would also really look into the expense of windows... triple or quad is very, very expensive but if you have the money.... Nice!
Nice plans & congrats, looks like my dream home. I thought you had to have a slanted roof because of the snow fall weight? Maybe a slight unnoticeable angle? I can't imagine all the spectacular views you have to choose from there 😀. Is it nice enough there for a few months of spring or fall weather as screened in porches are always nice as well. When your sleeping you should raise your steps up for safety ;). Still no railing maybe some handles. Stay safe out there 🙏 😊
Your channel is new for me. First time watching think how can you live in a small space for so long. That video seeing the truck and the house built on the back so small, then you open the door and I the routine done where everything needed to sleep cook in then I said "Okay" and I got it, I saw meeting with friends one had his own small house it really was nice. I can't wait to see you videos starting your large cabin knowing how well you thought of your small camper on your truck turned out.
Man! I love that place. Spent many a drunk times at the Mother load. Then we’d drive to the top and drop off people to ski down. Many good times spent there.
Freeze dried stuff is a lot better than dehydrated meals. It just sucks up water like a spunge and there you have a meal right out of a bag... whereas the dehydrated food needs to be cooked for a while.
Just tuned in to your videos man that's a nice tiny home you have I know what's that's like to live like that I was a trucker long haul for over 20 years it's lonely sometimes but it's peaceful
yup, it's my license plate off my old 1989 Toyota 4x4 motorhome, full-timed in it for 6 years, sold it, then registered it to the truck house now to carry on the tradition lol
Hi Timmy , love your channel, it has been awesome to see your videos and adventures through your eyes! My mom loves your adventures! She’s 80 and can’t wait to see your next adventure! Also I would like to make a recommendation to your shop I’d like the colorful truck logo on the pillow and shirts if you could please make that into a color decal I would love to put it on my vehicles and maybe a nice baseball cap 😊
