its funny, in classic albums for the black album, James said that he learned that tempo for certain songs can change the way they feel. This song is played at about the right tempo instead of them blowing through it at 10 million miles an hour and not having any feeling in it. by far one of my favorite performances.
JAMES is playing his '73 Gibson Les Paul iron cross and KIRK is playing a regular Gibson les Paul. Nowadays they ALL play ESPs :) both absolutely AMAZING guitar brands
metallica has between 500 and 600 guitars in there studio. According to a guy that works closely to them. I saw the guitars in a video of additions for a basses
they arent 20 anymore, all of them are 45+ and have family so they cant do all the stuff they did back then, the early records are heavy. I think its amazing that they still play today since some of them have kids and they have been through so much first specially with James alcoholic problems.
