Coach E after 3 weeks of being consistent, i am finally seeing the scale move! There was no movement at all but i dropped an inch on my waist. Thanks so much for telling us the truth!
Hi Eric after years of trawling the toxic landscape of gimmicky influencers talking huge amount of BS on UA-cam - I have finally found your amazing channel (and Instagram). Your content is absolutely brilliant. Thank you for this much needed source of reasonable, safe, logical and honest health and fitness advice. You're awesome. 👍
You were preaching the good news I needed to hear in this one, sir! I'm always trying to speed things up, but I like to think I'm in a better mindset now. Thanks for this video!
I just noticed you were on Instagram so I followed there! I really like how you showed correct forms when doing an exercise that’s exactly what I was going to ask for the next video. Keep up the good work 👍👍. Question: when should we consider getting a personal trainer?
Need to listen to this like once a month as a reminder! Love the short video wisdom dispensing, short enough to fit between meetings long enough to learn something.
THIS! THIS IS SOO explainable to what my CURRENT status is! I am gaining weight back, as I have been binging based on how I started like STARVE MODE and I DIDNT KNOW 😫 I needed you as my EVER 1st video!! I feel like I need to reset my mind and restart and work it SLOWLY AND PATIENTLY! IM A FAN! Gracias 🙏🏼
Hey Eric! Loved the video! Could you please make a video on the three body types. I always read that as an endomorph you should be on a low carb high fat diet to lose weight.
I love your videos. Thank you for the information. My question is The app, MyFitnessPal, already calculates the rate of weight loss. So the goal will already be in a calorie deficit. However I noticed that I eat a lot more willingly or unwillingly then the goal calorie set by this app. However, my cardio makes up for quite a bit of this so the net effect is typically left with may be 50 to 100 cal that are remaining. Would this still be considered a calorie deficit? The reason I’m confused is that I tend to eat a lot more than the calorie goal. Thank you
I was on keto for 1 Year ended up for 74 kilos I went to cruise vacation where I over eat for 7 days 3 meals no fasting and everything then after coming back I measured 80 kilos so 7 days 6 kilos is it normal? I feel miserable why everyone was eating and happy and me whenever I allow myself to enjoy I destroy 1 Year of Diet
I've been trying to lose weight since last July so it's been about 8 months. I lost quite a bit in the first 3 months. Then a bit less in the next 3 months. Now I'm only losing about 2 or 3 pounds a month which feels really slow. Calorie deficit slipping somewhat. Not sure what to do. Craving sweet food and feeling more hungry strangely.
I have a question about tracking my macros if anyone can help. I bought frozen chicken breast. Based on its frozen packaging, is it ok to weigh food frozen?
All your examples assume not working out right? So if I work out, do some strength training or cardio, I could potentially lose 300-500 calories. If my maintenance is 2k, that would mean to up my deficit to 1800-2000, right?
Hi Eric, my personal trainer has me on a calorie deficit meal plan (1500 cal) and I’m struggling to keep up and eat 4 meals a day plus get all my needed protein in. Any advice on how to still lose body fat but with a different alternative..? These meals are bland, standard chicken, starch, and veggie. Would love some guidance. Or if anyone else on here in my shoes with any advice?
So if you’re on a 1,500 calorie deficit and you’re struggling to meet the desired goal, you’re still gonna be in a calorie deficit and lose weight. You’re just not eating enough while losing it, which can be harder to get the protein in, but even then the only thing that would be affected is your full ability to maintain muscles and your day to day energy expenditure.
It’s possible to eat a lot of protein in only 1500 calories. I do it all the time on my 1500 cal diet. I recommend finding protein shakes. Most protein shakes are low cal with high protein. The ones I drink are 170 cals for 32 grams of protein. Also try to eat more lean meats and fish. 1 can of tuna has like 31 grams of protein and 170+ cals depending on the brand. Could be less if you get it in water
I had a crazy cheat day last Saturday and gained like 5 pounds. I even threw up from eating too much and wasted a lot of money with the food I threw and and threw away from not finishing. I am still trying to get that off and get back to my weight I was before that day. I even fasted an entire day on Sunday. Won't be going that extreme ever again but I am going to eat something outside of my normal diet but stick to my calorie limit for my diet. I am going to step away from my protein intake on that day but it is also the day I don't weightlift so hopefully that works out. I am fine with my diet but I would like to eat other foods sometimes so I need to find a middle ground.
@@ericrobertsfitness I have started intermettied fasting though. I only eat from 2:30 - 6:30 for a 4 eating 20 fasting window. I have heard that doing this helps burn fat. Is this true? As you said, no food is bad food, just eat what I want within my calorie limit. And do you think it is okay to go without hitting my protein macros one day that I don't weightlift in order to enjoy the food that don't fit my diet but still hit my calorie limit? Is that a good idea or no?

2-3 lbs a month is tremendous progress. If you have lost a lot then it might be time to transition to maintenance
Still have more to lose
I’m actually really thankful for this information and I’m glad I found your page on Instagram and you have this platform as well !
makes me so happy!

No, do not take into consideration your exercise calories.
Why not? Those are calories burned which leads to a bigger deficit and hits that same point you made with eating 1200 calories.
Lol here i am thinking to myself eating a slice of pizza 🍕 ruined my life 😂

please don't fast. It's all good man. Work in foods you like in moderation no foods are "bad" or "good"
