I can confirm #1 is very true. After doing only cardio for 6 weeks due to an injury, I had lost 9 pounds. I started 3 weeks ago lifting again and following a lot of things Eric recommends on this channel (lifting in the reps he recommended, eating more protein, changing my macros based on his calculator, etc…) I’ve put on 3 pounds of muscle. I know it’s muscle because I’m still eating in a calorie deficit, my body measurements are still trending down, and my clothes are still getting more loose. I will say I’m a mesomorph so I do pick up muscle quickly. And I was protein deficient before so that might have accelerated things a bit. Not sure how happy I am about the scale going up, but whatever…
Girl! keep going! I've been combing cardio and strength for 8 weeks and im down 11 lbs. during that time, my weight kept going up and down but I knew It was due to cross-training. don't be so hard on yourself! some days im finally down in the 160's, some days im back in the low 170's. the ultimate goal is 160 on the dot (+ fluctuations) but you got this. youre just getting started.
@@Sneaks011 thank you for this! I’ve been trying to break in to the 150s so hard then this extra 3 pounds put me back in to the 160s so I’m irritated 😑 I’m 5’4 and I’m considered “overweight” until I’m 145 pounds. But my goal is 150 flat.
@@Rashanna Girl I understannnnddl trust me! I'm 5'3 and im 168 as of this morning. so plz know im also obese. even though that isn't made for us anyway, BUT I do have an ideal weight as well. YOU GOT THIS. drink that water girl, eat some watermelon. you'll be sticking to your goal in NO time ;)
Hi there, is this the short girl gang thread? I'm 4'11 and at 176lbs this morning. Trying hard to learn and fight to get to a healthier place. You ladies have got it! It's not only the scale. It's not only weight. It's about losing the fat/having less volume around us. I know you guys can get there 😊
Wow.. i just came across with your videos. I hope you do more. You have a gift and I can only appreciate you bro for sharing so much practical insights. Your advices have kept me from quitting. Thank you and God bless Bro
I did a free orange theory class today. I think I'll just invest in a heart rate monitor. The workout wasn't anything I wasn't already doing. My body looks and feels so much healthier when I consume high protein from whole foods. I ate so bad over the weekend while on vacation (theme park food)... I'm feeling the effects now... sluggish and craving more junk food. I hate when I do that. I appreciate your content. I learn something new each time.
I find it difficult to get in a lot of protein whilst being in a calorie deficit, feels like most food is high in fat and carbs but low in protein, other than meat, yogurt and shakes 🙄 I also struggle with performing the exercise properly, my form isn't great and I think I'm yet to develop the mind muscle connection 😅
So I’m 14 and im like 3 months in to really lifting. I’m slim with a belly so should I just eat at maintenance, wouldn’t that be the smartest option instead of aggressively cutting or bulking?
Hey by the way I love your videos & content! Ive learned alot about nutrition & calories from you & how meal prepping doesn't need to be overly complicated. ANYWAYS! Is there anyway you could do a video on the basics you need to do a strength training workout at home? Thank you 😁
You can't outtrain a bad diet... I learned that the hard way training so hard and having poor results. Then I started following the Agoge diet, and I finally started seeing some awesome results.
I have so many questions so I actually purchased your 60 day summer shred and I am doing the body Recom I’ve never followed a Program but I am not a newbie to lifting I’ve been lifting for about 5 to 6 years in 2020 I had a downfall and just last year I started working out once again but I’ve never really followed a Program other then my own which is the basic so is a body recomp good for me or would it be better for me to just cut down body fat and then do a surplus ??
