- Sky News reporter Annelise Nielsen is in London covering the celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
She said fans were excited to see a video broadcast at the Platinum Party at the Palace, which featured Queen Elizabeth and Paddington Bear having a tea party.
“People went absolutely wild,” she told Sky News host Chris Smith.
Am I the only one who teared up when Paddington said happy jubilee and thank you for everything?

This clip was the very best part of the Jubilee. It showed us the lovely sense of humor that the Queen has & that she doesn't view herself overly seriously. And the people that thought that this was inappropriate have shown themselves as far less relatable than the Queen. This Queen is real, loves serving the people of the UK & this is what she is so loved.

people need to see the BBC documentary from a couple of weeks ago called: Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen. It shows the Queen's parents and relatives having the best sense of humour. It's just in those days, it wasn't done to show it !

I loved paddington bear as a child and saw her Majesty in 1977 as she made her way into Sheffield city centre during her round of silver jubilee visits. This made me cry, full or pride and gratitude but also very sweet.

What did they expect, to be seated at the right hand of the Queen? They quit and then over the course of two years, ravaged the RF in a variety of ways! They are fortunate that the RF held out an olive branch and invited them. It was absolutely divine! Love Paddington. The marmalade sandwich in the handbag was fantastic! I loved them tapping the teacups transitioning to the concert with Queen first up! It was gorgeous and is now equal favourite with The Queen and Daniel Craig at the opening of the London Olympics, with the ‘Queen’, bloomers flying, parachuting into the stadium. Small so brilliantly done! 💖

This segment with Paddington Bear is an incredible TV moment that caught everyone by surprise and was THE hi-light of the Jubilee celebrations in the UK. The charm and gentle humour was very British. The long standing unanswered question of just what does the Queen keep in her handbag was the perfect ending along with the We Will Rock You rhythm tapped out by THE Queen as an introduction to Queen. Genius! The Queen did a fantastic job and it brought a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat- and I'M NO FAN OF THE ROYALS!
I can just imagine HMTQ rolling her eyes when the speculation about the contents of her handbag were first talked about..I can hear her say is there nothing that they( us ) don't want to know. Paddington found out once and for ever. Lol
HM acted this skit perfectly. Wonderful performance and the graphics were excellent. The voice of Paddington Bear has always been one of calm, caring, and a cute aloofness that's disarming to young and old alike. Nobody says, "Oh dear" like Paddington Bear.

That skit with Paddington Bear was absolutely brilliant. The whole of the Jubilee from the trooping of the colour to the street pageant, was what one could only be in awe of how well the Brits do something as spectacular as this platinum Jubilee celebration. It will take a heck of a lot to top this, anywhere else in the world. To put it mildly,
"I say what a marvelous turn out. That went rather well didn't it. A wonderful time was had by all." Sorry that was a take on how some of the aristocracy would have said it, in regards to this Jubilee celebration.
