We all know that one day the Queen in her old age will eventually pass. But she had become a constant for the people of the UK for 70 years and losing her would really be a shock. It's like having known your grandmother all your life and she had always been there until she died and the world suddenly spun off its axis. Things will never be the same, and all we could do is embrace the change. My sincerest condolences to the Royal Family and to the people of the UK.
When my grandma passed, the dynamics of my family changed completely. She was the anchor that held the family together and in her death, everyone just went their own way. I pray for Britain.
@@ll2323 that’s sad to see that everyone went different ways
Thank you for your message Gay Sagabaen we all knew the queen personally and are deeply saddened by her grizzly demise.
@@ll2323 unfortunately it happens to a lot of families including mine
I believe that's how she endeared herself to her subjects in her later decades: she became the Commonwealth's grandmother.
She lived through WW2, she was the reigning monarch of the UK for 7 decades, she lived an entire century, overseeing her country and the world as it developed and changed rapidly over the decades. Crazy when you put it into perspective.
Millions never made it through the war
@@julielawlor5482 How entirely profound. The statement wasn’t remarking about her survival, it was the fact that she was alive during such a significant era.
Deeply moved by the German lady. Such beautiful words. My love and respect to you in GB.
I thought the same .
Like she says, the Queen was part German.
A very classy lady
They were connected because Prince Phillips families were Nazis. RIP queen
Ich auch 😢
The lady from Germany was so sweet. Her reaction was heartbreaking, but it goes to show that the Queen touched so many people beyond just the British.
She did. And I particularly remember one photo, that was published in a newspaper here in Oslo where I live, actually before the official news of her death came out, the photo showed, not one but TWO rainbows, I believe it was in front of (or near) Buckingham Palace. She was a remarkable person.
I mean, she basically was german.
@@vloplob I believe the queen was of German heritage, I think?
@@rudycarlson8245 Yes, the house of Winsor is actually the house of Hannover. But that didnt sound too good to the british public during WW1.
@@vloplob Close. She is of the house of Saxe-Coburg und Gotha.
Queen Victoria was of the house of Hannover but she married Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg und Gotha and thus changed the dynasty to his. His dynasty continue through the paternal side all the way to King Charles. They arbitrarily changed their name to the House of Windsor after King George V’s favorite castle during WWI to not sound so German….but they were almost completely German all the way to Elizabeth herself. King George VI could not have looked more German if he tried….even his mother Queen Mary (Mary of Teck) was of a great German house. But, Elizabeth got an injection of English and Scottish through her mother. But then, Elizabeth herself ALSO married a great German noble house when she married Phillip of the House of Battenberg (Anglicized to Mountbatten due to the whole world war thing, but Phillip himself couldn’t get more German…this makes King Charles 75% German and 25% Scot/English)
I’m no royalist but I’m upset too because the queen brought us a level of stability
Same. I don't really like the royal that much but somehow i kinda liked the queen. Rip Queen Elizabeth.
yes, me too. She just was always there.
Wtf are you talking about? Did you forget what happened the past 5 years with the constant elections and Brexit
@@dresdi what did she had to do with Brexit or the elections? Her position was above those kind of matters. That's just the thing with having a monarch and not a president.

Over a year and still the announcement of her passing brings tears to me.. I hope in my heart that she new how special how loved and admired. She was our monarch our queen . Never is there to be another like her.. rest in peace ma'am.
She was like the bridge to different generations, our great grandparents, grandparents, parents, ourselves, and our future kin have all lived at the same time as her reign and so much has happened during that time. This connection is something special and significant.
Couldn’t agree more. She was the constant both in leadership and as a symbol for a nation and for many in the rest of the world. Also a great connection to the past for so many and for us in the present, and now it has been lost.
agreed... but GREAT grandparents??? for you maybe, not for me - my mum 's 85, so her, yes - her parents alive at her coronation. my dad too. his parents? "When her father died in February 1952, Elizabeth-then 25 years old-became queen" my dad's dad died in 1949, so no - his mum, 1963 so no. so 3/4 of my grandparents saw the change from King to Queen. and hun, "future kin" - the ones who haven't been born yet?? I understand the sentiment, but can't see how that is possible.
Very true
She was also a symbol of evil for most people around the world
🚬🚬🚬
I'm not a 'Royalist' but I had huge respect for Elizabeth II, she was a wonderful ambassador for the country and was devoted to her duty, in a way I think we shall probably never see again. She was a solid pillar in most peoples lives in the UK, certainly in my lifetime.
you clearly are a royalist. you just spouted the nonsense that royalists use to justify monarchy. she was a tyrant who stole everything she owned. a parasite
I am an American who has honored the Queen all my life. It was heavy in my heart when she died.
The Queen had become a mythical figure to all of us. We felt that she would go on forever. The speed of her death coming just several hours after the first reports of her declining health and concern by her doctors took everyone by surprise. I certainly expected there to be at least a couple of days as her health deteriorated. Having seen that final set of photos where just two days prior the Queen had met with Liz Truss made the news even harder to digest- although she looked frail she did appear to be vibrant and in good spirits. Whatever condition she was suffering from was obviously much worse than what was being reported by the media- we weren't really prepared for what happened. I still cannot believe she's gone. The Queen has been the one constant in the world throughout my life- a succession of Presidents, Prime Ministers and Popes have come and gone over the past 70 years but the Queen has remained, steadfast and regal. The Queen is dead, God save the King.
Well said.
She was blessed with the perfect passing. No suffering, no illness, no prolonged bed stay. Died in her favourite home surrounded by family. Not many of us will get this.
Quite so. I had expected that when the time came there would be a sort of statement such as the one made for King George V: ’The King’s life is moving peacefully toward its close.’
Very well said
No.
I was talking to my friend on the phone when a news flash appeared on screen. I'd been waiting for an announcement, but it was a shock nonetheless. It took a few moments before I could explain to my friend why I'd gone quiet.
I'm not a royalist, but her death saddened me because she had been a constant through the whole of my life, and regardless of what her critics say, she was an amazing example of duty being fulfilled. We will not see her like again.
The United Kingdom: A new prime minister and a new monarch in the same week.
The perfect storm.
The Union will be the next to go.
@EverywhereBeBox 😂😂😂😂😂
Hopefully a new government very soon.

It all feels so surreal. She's always been there for my entire life. I'm Canadian, and she was the Queen of Canada, as well. Her picture is on our money. We have many stamps with her picture. The highway south of where I live is named after her. There's a mountain range named after her in this province. If I go to Maligne Lake, I would see the range. I knew that this would come some day, but it felt like she would always be there, you know? It hit me harder than I expected. I've been watching videos of her amazing sense of humour. She seemed like a wonderful lady.
Same bro,I was driving by the QE2 highway today and then it hit.
"I knew that this would come some day, but it felt like she would always be there' you know?"
You've encapsulated mine and so many people's exact feeling with those words I am sure!
Same in Australia. Her head has been on all our coins and one note for as long as I've been alive. I'm in my 50's, and she's the only Sovereign I and most have known our whole lives. Rest in peace your Majesty ♥
Putin has been the head of Russia, all my life, whats your point exactly?
She wasn’t queen of Canada. She was queen of the commonwealth which we are included in.
I was born in 1952, so Elizabeth was my Queen for my whole life at that time. I had moved to America in 1967, but never lost my affection for her. I cried my eyes out for a while and was saddened for weeks. I'm tearing up again as I write this.
These reactions are just beautiful. Truly, they are. Don't take that the wrong way...I find it VERY touching and quite lovely to see how emotional everyone becomes when they learn of her passing...just goes to show how truly beloved she was. And I love to see the love and support just about everyone is giving King Charles. Wish we were more like this in the U.S.
My condolences to all who loved and adored her. Rest peacefully.

While I never thought she was actually immortal, it's unfathomable to think that she has gone. She has been our steadfast figurehead throughout almost all of our lives, and she will be greatly missed.
I take comfort in the fact that she lived a long, happy life, and died peacefully, surrounded by her family, in a place she loved. We can all only hope our own lives in such a way.
I think the queen is one of the most important people in modern history. She was deeply loved all over the world and faithful in her commitment to the Commonwealth. I have such a deep respect for her and her legacy. I believe she instilled a lot of wisdom into the next generations of the royal family. Regardless of their faults, the Queen's example to her family will continue to challenge them to follow her example well.
When kids died or tradegy happened. She refused to pay respect as she believe a royal isn't some sort of a charity show.

I don't know if British realise this, but she made your country look better. Royalist or not, she did amazing job. To say she was privileged? No thank you, I like my life. She lived a life or service, to the very last day.
People see jewels, money, castles, but what they don't see is you can never escape, you're always on standby, can never just go off on holiday, all these people to meet and places to go that you probably have no interest in, world leaders that likely annoy the life out of you, always rules and protocol to follow,, always got to be dressed up, optics to think of, abd you're never fully safe. In effect, you're a glorified public servant whose time is never your own. A gilded cage, if you will. I wouldn't fancy it much.
Oh we know. We know. 😢🇬🇧
@@ChrisAndCats Also she was 18 at the end of world War 2, where she also served in the army and had to watch her country get destroyed and London get turned to rubble. She lost her father early and had to help Great Britain rebuilt and stay strong through turbulent times (cold war). Even if she wouldn't have had all the ceremonial and representative stuff on her as well, her uplifting and supporting her people through those times was difficult enough
@@HughShower sensible people know ☺ some others however, not so much.
@@ChrisAndCats Well sad. Fancy castles, jewels, money and sumptuous surroundings mean nothing when you are tired, in pain, depressed, sad .. and we all experience those feelings and emotions including queens and lords. And that constant meeting of people, smiling, handshaking having cameras on your every move, word, expression - as you say - a gilded cage. I wouldn't fancy it either, but if you are born to it, you don't have a lot of choice unless you abdicate like Edward VIII or do a runner like Harry.
She was truly an icon, you could say “The Queen” and you would know exactly who you were talking about
I always knew word traveled fast, but I never really comprehended how fast until the Queen died. I heard from someone sitting in front of me in class about 2 minutes after they’d announced her passing, and then within 5 minutes as I was walking through the halls everyone was talking about it to people they didn’t even necessarily know. Feels so recent but its already been almost 4 months.
Ras we was s4
You don't have to be a monarchist to appreciate what an extraordinary figure she was. The last few weeks have shown that a lot of people are sorely lacking when it comes to knowledge of history. The fact that the British empire came to an end during her reign and didn't take tens of millions of lives along with it as most every empire in history has done when it fell is absolutely incredible. I'm not saying it was perfect or bloodless but when you look at the circumstances of the fall of other empires throughout history it's hard to imagine a more peaceful end to what was the most vast empire in human history at its peak 100 years ago.
She was a pretty shitty person
Sure...
"You don't have to be a monarchist to appreciate what an extraordinary figure she was". Speak for yourself. The queen was a useless figurehead who was born into royalty and lived off the taxpayers money. End of story. You're just reaching to give her credit for something. There's a reason that this video only included middle-aged WHITE people since they're the one's with their heads up the royal family's asses

I’ll never stop loving the Brits.
There are people that want to destroy this Nation. But look at them, they all act like they just lost their mum.
Elizabeth was an amazing woman, a constant in every generation for the past 70 years and really 80 if you count her time of service pre, mid and post ww2. The world has lost someone truly special, someone that spent an entire lifetime in service to their people just as they promised. Not many have the fortitude to endure such a destiny with such grace.

My family have never been huge royalists but it's surprising how deeply sad the Queen's passing has been because she meant many different things to people all over the world. I'm in my 30's and so she's always been part of British life for me and it seems odd without her now. All the cultural references she's been a part of..My Mum lost her mother when she was young so never got to see her grow old. The Queen was one month older than her mother so she always felt like she was watching the Queen's progression and wondering if her Mum would look the same etc. Now she feels like even that link to her parent's generation is gone.

I remember running upstairs to tell my parents and brother that the queen had passed. My brother found out the same as me and my mom had known at school. We watched the funeral the next day during homeroom. What a shocking event even a year later
I’m not shocked a 96 year old died. We will all be lucky to live a life that long. Though her existence was brilliant to see. RIP

Of course,
It's rare to live until 96 bcoz we all actually do some work for most of our life to feed us and our family.
That bitch had lived entire life on State's money, doing nothing rather than roaming around and producing some babies
As an American, when I heard Her Majesty had passed, I was shocked. I had always thought, quite stupidly if I'm honest but still, that the Queen might live forever. She had been Queen my entire life. My heart aches for the people of the UK and the British Commonwealth. What people fail to realize is that Queen Elizabeth II cannot be held responsible for the actions of her predecessors. That would be the same as a modern day German, Italian, or Japanese person being held accountable for the actions of their parents or grandparents in WWII. Or the modern day French being held accountable for the Norman Conquest. It's simply idiotic. The Queen never did anything against her own people (or any other people that didn't attack first). And if you want to claim that she profited off the actions of her predecessors, so did every single leader ever elected. In any country. That's how succession works. Not to mention the companies is the capitalist societies around the world. War is big business for them. But you don't see us calling for their shutdown, do you?
i still miss the queen, im of irish ancestry so i dont have a positive view of the royals as a whole, but Elizabeth II made many great choices in her reign and left the world a better and more peaceful place than when she entered it. She is one that hundreds of years from now will still be in the history books and on tests, its crazy living through history!
When I heard about her passing it also moved me almost to tears. She has been on the throne for so long.... And no matter what happened - she was always there. I'm from the Netherlands. In our monarchy the Kings and Queen usually quit when they are around 75 years old. Would have wished for her that she would have been able to do as well. Retire somewhere in the country with her dogs and horses. But yes, I did feel sad.
It still brings tears to my eyes when I watch the news coverage of the Queen's passing and it is now nearly two years ago. The Queen had been on throne for my entire life and the same for the vast majority of Brits. She was our comfort blanket, stready hand and a reasuuring presence in a changing world. One of a kind ,we may never see again. It is so moving to see what see meant to Britain and the rest of the world. You are greatly missed your majesty. As someone who was born with Elizabeth ll as queen, this feels kinda unreal. I mean, I was born and she was already there. My parents were born she was already the Queen. It's like a new era.
I grew up in a perceived Diana vs the Queen rival - Diana, so beautiful, won in my mind of course. But in my early 30's - I saw that the Queen was quite stunning when young and her dashing husband as well (which made my mouth drop to see the DOE as a fox as a young man). I learned that both women cared deeply about people, but had different talents. QEII was steady and reliable and consistent and could inspire greatly with a few words. She clearly had a great sense of fun - jumping out of a helicopter for the olympics (well, going along with all of that) - we didn't get to see that until later. My friend went out her way to make sure she was the one to tell me QEII passed, I knew it was imminent, but still to hear those words....and I'm an American.

@@karlrogers4464 bro, EVERY COUNTRY HAS BEEN OVERTHROWN IN HISTORY. Think of it as a layer of different conquerors throughout the world. Hell, even before Pilgrims came to N. America, they were nations of Indians conquering each other. NOBODY'S HANDS ARE CLEAN. sir.
@@SOCCERNUT32 she is an antique of old racist ways and the world is much better off without her.
@@karlrogers4464 She saw the dismantling of European imperialism and encouraged international cooperation and peace via democratic systems. If that's imperialism then I'd say its a rather lovely system.
@@karlrogers4464 yet many countries were decolonised during her reign?
She is not even supposed to be involved in political affairs, that is the government’s job. Maybe you should do some research before making stupid accusations.
These reactions made me very teary eyed. My heart goes out to them.
Hello friend how're you doing today hope you are doing fine, hope we can be good friends?
I was working when the alert came on my phone. It came as a sad shock to me as an American. She was a constant presence
Honestly....I think their rule must end with queen elizabeth....these are mordern days ...why monarchy while democracy can exist?
because a republic is a failed democracy
What really got to me was a cartoon drawing of the Queen and Paddington Bear walking away and she saying that she was going to meet her husband. That was incredibly beautiful but so painful.
Her: Tells her feelings and sentiments tearfully...
Also her: "I don't even know where guys are from" RELATABLE.
I think she said I don't even know why you guys are filming
I’m American. My Mom however is British and she is proud of her British heritage. I had respect for the Queen and I’m sad for her passing but it’s also interesting to see how sad my Mom is about it.
0:37 _"Lord... I- uh.. can't be any happier."_
that must’ve been a hard pill to swallow for them my prayers go out to the entire UK during this moment of grief and despair my condolences to the whole UK
Im from the US but when me and my friends heard the news it brought us all tears. I was surprised, I mean (I don’t mean this is a literal sense) she’s one of those people you expect to live forever. For everything she has done I thank her. It’s been a year since her passing but watching this brings back a lot of the feelings I had that day.
I'm not British, hell, I'm not even European or American, but still had a very weird feeling when I learned about her passing. It's like one of the few constants of everyday life was suddenly gone
Even the fact she was old it still was sudden r I p to the lovely woman who was the Queen
as a former 'colonist' (Aotearoa/New Zealand), my respect for Elizabeth as Queen is endless. we all KNEW that this day would come - although her Majesty could avoid taxes, she couldn't avoid this. still, a week later, it is still sinking in. I admire and respect the strong, intelligent, leader that she was, always struck me that she showed the utmost dedication to her role, to her country, and to her subjects - and I wonder how having such a strong woman in this role has influenced my life. not a monarchist by any means - respect to Elizabeth may she truly RIP.
As a Kiwi person, she was also my Queen. 11 month later, may she Rest in Peace.
The German woman broke me. Her expression was so genuine. God bless her 🙏
QE11 👑 One of the most important & extraordinary women that has ever lived. 70 years on the Throne. A lifetime of exemplary service to God and Country. Head of State. World Leader. War Veteran. Head of the Commonwealth. Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother. LEGEND !! Thank you Your Majesty for your service to your Country, and to the World. Thank You. For the next few days, we are all British. 🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧
I dont understand why they get surprised, i mean, she was almost 100 years old
I’m still so sad over the loss. I get very teary when I watch this.
I feel the same as these people, just shocked and feel a sense of deep loss 😞
As a French (especially Breton), I think it's another page of History being turned. We live and grew "with" her Majesty but yes. It won't stop me from living my own life but it is "impressive". RIP Elizabeth and thanks for filling our memories.
Bretons are our cousins, we share many character traits including the celt's love of alcohol and good cheer! My mother is a direct descendant of Geoffrey Berenger, Duke of Brittany and the ancient Kings of Brittany.
Deepest condolences from Malaysia. There is no word I think would help comfort anyone in UK for having lost such a wonderful queen. I'm proud to have lived in an era where UK was under her reign.
Imagine they told these people the queen died when she actually didn’t.
Im an indian
And I know British Empire did very wrong things to us
But respect as a human
She was the queen yet she was humble with everyone
It wasn't worse than current governments probably less worse in my opinion
Liz Truss met Queenie on Tuesday. Queenie died Thursday. Does this mean Liz Truss has been exposed as the Angel Of Death?
The idea of Truss running the country after the disaster that was Boris gave her a heart attack
Someone probably gave her Covid again.
@@PancakemonsterFO4 that or the size of her most recent electricity bill for Buckingham Palace gave her a massive shock!
Or maybe its a Highlander thing Liz vs Liz. There can only be one!
It was just all too much, first being lied to by a clown who then proceeded to destroy the country that she had ruled over, then having to shake the hand of the imbecile that is the new Pime Minister...
she was so sweet and good. World lost a good soul, but honestly I don't know why some people are in such a shock. It is just the way how unfortunately life goes.
RIP Queen and God Save the King
Greetings from Canada and I can't speak on behalf of all Canadians but I was aware of queen elizabeth health had been declining more so after her husband passing they marriage was special for 70 years and if1 spouse passes eventually the other 1 will go but I can't say no more other than thanking her children for having a special mom and queen to represent Canada
a 96 year old died. no fkn way. 😑
Why were people so shocked...she was 96 and had been suffering from poor health for months?! Did they think she was going to live forever.
The woman in the white shirt is right, we'll never see the like of Her Majesty again, and it is the saddest thing. Condolences from the USA 🇺🇸
Hello friend how're you doing today hope you are doing fine, hope we can know more abut ourself
May she rest in peace.
I'll be honest, as childish and naive as it sounds, I really thought she'd outlive us all
"its so sad" giant smile on face
My deepest sympathy and condolences from South Africa 🇿🇦
You certainly don't look African...
As an Australian who has only known 1 Queen I cried and cried so many tears I loved our Queenie she will never be matched ever

The man is smiling while saying he's in shock
My friend is extremely patriotic over The UK altough he never was there and now he is extremely sad :(
